A new GTS: the 8800 GTS 512 - PAGE 10
Kevin Spiess - Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

The Call of Juarez bench shows the potential of two 8800 GTS 512 running in SLI here. Unfortunately, on their own, neither 8800 GTS 512 really shines this time around -- or do they? It looks like the higher memory bandwidth ceiling of the 8800 GTS 640 and 8800 GTX come in handy here -- but this only applies to 1600x1200 resolution, with AA on.  The EN8800 GTS 512 T.O.P ends up beating the EN8800 GTX across every resolution except 1600x1200, with AA on. The surprise PowerColor HD 3850 Xtreme PCS does quite well here; and the XFX 8800 GTS 512 A.D.E is sitting pretty, only having real difficulties overcoming the GTX and 8800 GTS SLI setup.

All the 8800 GTS 320 owners out there might be a little distressed to see that widening performance gap, between the old and new GTS.
