Left 4 Dead is a first-person shooter developed by Valve. It uses the Source Engine. Four survivors must fight against infected people in order to reach a safe area.

Mirror’s Edge is referred by some as a first-person runner. It is a game powered by the Unreal Engine 3 but with the addition of a new lighting solution. What is great of the PC version is that it supports NVIDIA PhysX, which a very few games do.

In Left 4 Dead, overclocking resulted in a 5 frames per second boost at the lowest resolution. I suspect this is due to the higher memory bandwidth, which at 1280x1024 the benchmark really depends on. It is also supported by the fact that there is no other significant increase at higher resolutions. In Mirror's Edge, the athlon gained 1frame per second over the Phenom II at the lowest resolution while overclocked. In all other cases, it lost.
