Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2-8000 DDR2 Review & 975X Memory Performance Roundup - PAGE 4
William Henning - Thursday, January 18th, 2007

RightMark Read

The RightMark Read benchmark is still my favorite for measuring maximum attainable throughput, and the Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC8000 again captures the top spot amoung in our playing field.

The Tracer came in almost 50MB/sec faster than the Corsair PC8500 when both were overclocked to their maximum sustainable 4-4-4-12 speed; both were getting awfully close to 10GB/sec.

RightMark Write

By this time none of you will be surprised that the Tracer did well on the Write benchmark, however the Corsair XMS2-8500 took top spot here by a bit more than 10MB/sec. The Tracer took the next two spots though :)

Folks, its obvious that high speed, low latency memory will deliver excellent memory bandwidth - which is what it is designed for.
