Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC2-8000 DDR2 Review & 975X Memory Performance Roundup - PAGE 5
William Henning - Thursday, January 18th, 2007

RightMark Latency

The latency figures for the top results are exceedingly close - well within experimental error - however the Corsair XMS-2 PC8500 does have a tiny lead (less than 1%) of the Ballistix Tracer PC8000.

One thing is for sure.

The 975X chipset does very well in controlling latency for a chipset - we are not likely to see much lower latencies on an Intel platform until Intel integrates a memory controller onto the CPU and removes memory traffic from teh FSB.

RightMark Bandwidth

The bandwidth test again shows the Corsair XMS2-PC8500 winning by a small margin (0.14%) however the Tracer does extremely well here too - and 0.14% is well within experimental error.
