ePower Tiger 1 KiloWatt Power Supply Review - PAGE 6
J. Micah Grunert - Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

Well, what can I say about the e-Power 1KW power supply?

  • Rugged Design
  • Solid Performance
  • Superb Modular Cable Design
  • Great Bundle

Was there anything that I didn't like about this power plant?

  • Cables were a little long in some cases
  • Probably not the supply for a mid-tower case
  • The price is a little steep

Oh yeah, the price! Would you believe somewhere in the range of about $380 bucks USD? Yikes goes my wallet!

Of course, if you're spending a couple grand on a no holds barred, top of the line, make your friends jealous gaming system, then four hundred bucks for a power supply is the least of your worries.

The e-Power EP-1000P10-T2 is seriously one of those hardware parts that will have your friends staring and saying "Woah, cool, I want one!", it is just that impressive. The modular cable design is quick and painless and strong. Though I didn't try, I'm betting that I could attach every cable to this PSU, get a firm grip, and start swinging the supply over top my head like some square metal mace.

But as long as you're not trying to fight this supply into some tiny mid-tower case, you'll enjoy it. In fact e-Power has some very impressive enclosures too. And if 1000 Watts isn't enough for you, e-Power also has 1100 and 1200 Watts power supplies available too!  All in all, for serious power with a seriously rugged looking power supply, the EP-1000P10-T2 Tiger Series XLR-Type is a rock solid choice.
