Box and bundle
The Sapphire HD 4890 Vapor-X comes in an arctic-themed gray and blue box.
The bundle includes the following: a paper manul, a driver CD, a full version of 3DMark's Vantage benchmarking program, CyberLink DVD Suite, CyberLink PowerDVD, a HDMI-to-DVI adapter (useful if you want to use dual displays), two molex-to-PCIE power adapters, and a CrossFire bridge.
The CrossFire bridge is good to see, and this bundle is nicely complete.

Overclocking
Vapor-X coolers have proved capable of keeping temperatures down in the past, so the overclocking potential for this card looked positive.
Running the fan at 100% power, we eventually settled at a 945 MHz overclock for the core clock, and a 1155 overclocked for the memory. This compares to the default speeds of 870 / 1050. That's a 8% overclock for the core, and a 10% overclock for the memory. Not that bad!
Looking around, a few other tech websites have reported higher overclocking success with this HD 4890. Some even hitting the magic 1GHz mark, for the core. But whether the luck of the draw -- or perhaps their stability tests not as rigorous as ours -- we here at Neoseeker could only achieve around that 10% mark for the overclock. Which still isn't bad though -- just more 'good', rather than 'astonishing.'
