The new midrange: 10 good cards for around $200 - PAGE 5

For all of these tests, half are handled better by ATI family cards, and half are dominated by NVIDIA cards.

For fill-rates, single-texturing seems to be better handled by the HD 3870's, while multi-texturing fill-rates are best with the 8800 GT's. The particles test favors the 8800 GT's, while the Perlin noise test favors the HD 3870's. Pixel shader test: better with NVIDIA cards; while the vertex shader benchmark is led by the ATI cards.

These benchmarks are more intellectually interesting than anything else -- let's check out game performance.
