THE GOOD:Extreme Weapons to use, Great enemies to battle and wonderful surroundings and environments to explore from forests to ruins.
THE BAD:
When online, there are quite a few "hackers" that may mess up your character and sometimes the online game can be pretty slow when playing in a team of Four.
SUMMARY:
Phantasy Star Online Version 2 is a brilliant RPG for the Dreamcast. You have a character that can level up (as in most RPGs) and there is a very wide selection of weapons to choose from. Your character may be a Force, Hunter or Ranger and each of these different characters specialize in a way that makes them as good as each other. Forces are strong in mgaic, Rangers are strong in guns and Hunters are strong in weapons like swords etc. As you level up you will be able to equip better armour, weapons and shields. In PSO you may equip a mag (which is a really fun creature that follows you and can heal you and also help you out in battles etc.). With a mag you can feed it to make it stronger - and the stronger the mag is, the stronger your character is. Getting new weapons is probably the funnest part of the game because some look really powerful, some look fast and some look to good to be true. There are probably a thousand weapons to choose from, each one being good in it's own way!
The Levels are fantastic to explore, and the monsters within are brilliant for leveling up and are very fun to kill. It is one of those games that makes you want to level up.
The main problem about this game is probably the hackers online that ruin your character. They sometimes just delete it, or change yours with someone else's (this could be good if someone else's character is good but if they are not you have lost all that training you worked for offline!).
I have gave this game 3.7 out of 5 because everything is good exept of the online behaviour of some of the people. Apsolutely Brilliant Game though - A must get for the Dreamcast!!
