THE GOOD:The graphics are great and the gameplay is unprecendented. Can you beat reaming someone up the @$$ with a BFG?
THE BAD:
You can't play all the maps on multiplayer. What the f***? Sometimes the bots cheat so badly you want to throw your big, fat DC controller at your expensive HDTV liquid crystal display TV.
SUMMARY:
I love Quake 3. I love Quake 1 and 2. I love everything about Quake. I love id Software. I LOVE THIS S***!
Also, although I do not have the internet, I love the online DC vs. PC capabilities.
Gameplay is smooth and trim even on the bulky DC controller, but the inability to cheat (not like I do or anything...) without owning a DC keyboard is bullcrap.
While I bought this game used for a mere $10 without a manual, I picked up in ten seconds, although I had logged hundreds of hours in the PC version.
While not as cool has games such as Half-Life (team Fortress, counterstrike, firearms, etc.) or Unreal (Tournament, 2003, etc.), it kicks some major @$$ in every aspect. Plus, it's a near-seamless port of the PC version, without the technical and hardware difficulties.
