THE GOOD:
> You can do whatever you want, whenever you want.
> Wi-Fi makes the game so much better.
> Loads of items for your house.
> There are more items that you can interact with than you think. (Wear Flowers, Play Guitars...)
> The Game is fun even without Wi-Fi.
> Easy to Grasp and play!
> Woot for digging Hidden Treaasures!
> You can only Wi-Fi with people which you have Friend Codes for. This stops seeders coming in for sure!

THE BAD:
> Working for Nook gets boring. You don't choose whether to work or not.
> Picking weeds can get a bit repetitive.
> Doing Errands gets boring after the 50th errand.
> It is possible for people to wreck your town on Wi-Fi.
> Only being able to Wi-Fi with friends is boring, especially if you only have 1 friend with AC:WW (That's why I go on ACC.)

SUMMARY:
Animal Crossing : Wild World is a very addicting game, sure, it has bad points. But it has at least 3 times as many good points. This game will get you hooked for at LEAST 2 months. (I'm still always playing it, and it's been about 2 years for me...)

Whether it's fishing, bug catching, gardening, annoying your neighbours, shopping, making friends, being plain rich, clothes making, constellation making, music making or rampaging through every tree in your town, AC:WW is the game for you.

You can edit your Town Tune. Anything you like! And, On La-Di-Day, your villagers fight to make the town tune too! And, guess who the judge is? YOU!

Maybe making the Town Tune isn't for you? What about a spot of fishing? You never know, you might catch the Ocean Sunfish!
Or maybe bug catching... Just grab your trusty net... (Which i hope you bought from Tom Nook's store...) ...and when you see a bug, SWING! Also, if you buy yourself a timer, it will count how many fish and bugs you catch in a certain amount of time! Perfect for fishing or bug-catching competitions!

Maybe you would like to do a bit of Interior Design? Just build your room however you like it! And, i heard, that if you follow the rules of Feng Shui, you will get better luck in fishing and bug-catching competitions! You'll have to ask your villagers about that...

Remember to sell anything that's rubbish to Tom Nook! Just remember not to sell your Pitfall Seeds! They can get REALLY fun when you bury them. Tom Nook buys Anything and Everything. (Except Turnips on Sundays) It's so nuts, he even buys fish and bugs! And your local fruit!

Or maybe you'd like to make the latest trends in town? Well, at the cost of 350 Bells... (AC:WW Money) ...You can make just about anything! From umbrellas to hats, clothes to floor patterns, Wallpaper to paintings and carpets, also!
Just tell them that you'd like to design! And Viola! You get a blank canvas to work on! Please note that you can only have 8 designs, but that is enough, right?

Maybe you'd like to bully your neighbours? Whacking them with Nets, pushing them around and tricking them into pitfall seeds. (I mentioned them earlier...)
It'll result in them moving out and someone else moving it, but that's all part of the fun!

There's more! Gardening, for example, buy some flowers at Tom Nooks store and just do gardening all over town! Remember not to run in the flowers, you'll destroy them if you do!

Remember, Tom Nook's store is your friend. (But not Tom Nook.)

So! What are you waiting for? Get this game!

SUMMARY:
Animal Crossing: Wild World is a sandbox-oriented game for the Nintendo DS that succeeds the original Animal Crossing for the Gamecube. You start off driving with an old parrot pirate – wait… is that Kapp’n?… - to your new town, which you name however you like. He asks you several questions before you arrive and get to see your new character, whose look depends on how you answered the questions Kapp’n asked. The first step you take is into Town Hall, where you get acquainted with whoever’s running the desk at the moment. She will tell you to glance inside your house, where you will meet Tom Nook. After doing some simple jobs for Nook, which are tedious but not repetitive, you will be free to roam around your new town! Purchase things for your house at Nook’s, design some new duds at the Able Sisters’, donate artifacts to the museum, and do much more! Yet, nobody ever said your adventure had to be limited to one town…

WHAT’S SO GREAT?
Miscellaneous: Unsurprisingly, Animal Crossing: Wild World is one of the best games for the Nintendo DS, in many people’s opinions. Going down the list mentioned above, you’re able to roam around your vast town that features a forest, a river, a waterfall, and even a beach. You can use both the analog pads and the touch screen for movement, depending on which you prefer. The town is plenty large enough for eight neighbors, which are very fun to interact with. Not only do they talk to you about various topics and show emotions, but they can also fish, catch bugs, and do the things that you do! They sometimes even request competitions from you.

Originality: Gratz to Nintendo for thinking of this sort of simulator. It isn’t just another human meets a human. There are walking, talking, animals. You can’t beat that very easily.

Audio: The audio in this game is superb. For one, I love the theme song. It has a certain calm tone that describes the game pretty well. There are different songs for each hour of the day, each song conducted very well. Furthermore, K.K. Slider. Remember that in this game, he is superior. He adds even more flavor to your house. If you have a radio, place it in your favorite room and go to K.K.’s concert on Saturday nights at eight. He’ll play you a song, and give you a bootleg to load into the radio back home. He has a generous library of songs he’s willing to give, all for free. But in the whole game, I think the song I like best is the song neighbors sing when they see you. Why is that my favorite? Well… it’s mine. You can create your custom town tune at the town hall, on the green carpet. The song will play every time the town bell rings for a new hour, every time you enter a building, and every time you talk to a neighbor. It feels satisfying to hear your own song each time you talk to somebody.

Special events: There are plenty of things to keep you busy until you beat the game. You are always on the lookout for new and rare clothes or furniture. But, there are also some guests that visit your town from time to time. Every once in a while, you might find a person named Gracie, Pascal, or Dr. Shrunk. On Sundays you might see Joan, and Saturdays, K.K. Slider. After WiFi, you can also meet the two missing cats, and Blanca. These are all event characters that help maintain the game and keep zest in it. It definitely works. It’s fun to doodle all over Blanca’s face, and you can get the coveted golden axe from Pascal after finishing a series of events. Events, yes. Every other Sunday, a fishing tourney is held to see who can catch the biggest fish. Some weeks, you might get the Flower Festival, or La-di-da Day, or even Yay Day! There are also one time events, like the Acorn Festival and the New Year’s Festival. This definitely makes the game a lot more fun, implementing rare episodes to add on to the exuberance in the game.

WiFi: WiFi is, as you may know, a wireless Internet connection. This game uses WiFi, yes, and it can be used to trade bells or items with other players, just as in the previous game. But did you know you can do it in their own town? Yes, using WiFi, a player can visit another player’s hometown! A textchat can be used to talk to the other person – sorry, no microphone usage here – and you can roam their whole town, visiting neighbors and exploring the differences of their town to yours! You can even buy items they have in their stores that you might not have in yours at the moment. The game hardly has any lag at all, meaning that you can roam around the town without worry of randomly pausing, then flying across the screen. However, you should use this privilege wisely, and not use it to steal their hybrid flowers, or that money tree they have growing. By the way, you can grow money trees.

Resetti?! Even the most hated character in the game, Resetti, has a good side to him! As I’m sure you’ve heard, Resetti is the mole that appears by your house when you shut off the game without saving. You have to listen to his dreadfully boring lecture that goes on for several minutes. Some speeches he makes requires you to measure how sorry you are, or demands you type in “Resetti rocks and I eat dirt”. I’m sure the moment he pops up by your side, you simply want to shoot him. Well, please don’t. He’s annoying for a reason: to get you to save. I’m not saying you should necessarily listen to him; please don’t. But resetting the game to get some rare item you missed from a balloon causes Resetti to appear… while saving makes him go away. By saving the game and caving into what Nintendo wanted you to do in the first place, Resetti will no longer bother you! That’s the whole purpose of the demonic burrower, and is also why I think he’s a good addition to the game.

BUT YOU SAID PARTS OF IT STINK?
Well, yes. Every game has its pros and cons.

Oh, Resetti. First of all, I said that Resetti was good. I didn’t say that he wasn’t bad. Although he makes you save the game, there are some instances where you simply didn’t mean to turn off the game. You pushed the wrong button, or someone else turned it off, like your little brother or sister. Resetti still gives you the lecture anyways. You might think, well sure. That’s simply unavoidable. Here’s the problem, however: Resetti even admits that you probably made a mistake, as he says in one of his speeches: “And maybe you didn't plan to do this. Maybe this is all a big misunderstandin'. Yeah, it's possible. But you know somethin'? It don't make a clod of difference.” The fact that Resetti acknowledges it’s probably a mistake, and he still continues with his monologue, is what’s annoying.

Difficulty: The game itself is awfully difficult to complete without the use of a cheating device. The golden axe is a pain to get, Dr. Shrunk rarely comes when you’re on, and K.K. Slider has a gargantuan amount of songs for you to collect once per week, if you even remember to show up. All in all, it’s awfully hard to accomplish everything there is to accomplish in this game. While one might think that means “more game time”, the next paragraph explains why that’s not the case.

Playability: Have you ever played a good RPG? You get addicted to it after a span of several weeks, then you simply stop for several months, and the process repeats in a pattern. Meet Animal Crossing: Wild World, the new definition of this pattern.

Inventory: The amount of things you can store in this game… it’s a very large number. You own a safe with six compartments, each holding… about 30 items. That’s 180 items in total storage right there. Plus, the whole outside world to dump necessary items (Note: don’t leave valuables out in WiFi). Yet, if you want to take items with you… I suggest choosing carefully. 15 items can be stored in your pockets at once. If you want to have all your fishing, bug catching, and balloon sniping equipment with you at all times, like me, then make it 10 spaces. There’s very little space for you to hold onto things. Then again, if you can store whole tables and steamrollers in your pockets, imagine if your character got a suitcase or something. That would be useful for a future game. Unfortunately, this game doesn’t have that.

VERDICT:
I give this game an 8 out of 10. If you think that’s low enough that you shouldn’t buy it, you should still really buy it. I’m simply rating on how boring it might get at some times. Otherwise, it’s a game that’s worth each dollar spent, no doubt.

THE GOOD:
  • New Gameplay. It supplies the touch screen, giving more function.

  • New Spin to Animal Crossing, adds many different furnitures and special characters.

  • New characters. Most of them are just name changes though, but new species of animals have been added.

  • New Adventures. The first one, with Tom Nook, is different from the beggining of the Game Cube game. You also deliver more things, and have fishing and bug catching competitions.

  • Some of the old basics. The old gameplay has been included, along with the new. Competitions and events have been updated, with more depth.

  • More choices. You can have competitions, such as who can catch the rarer fish or bug.

  • A different theme. The scrolling world feature takes adjusting, but is unique and fun. There are no more "acres". An acre is a place that needed to load.

  • "Moving" possibility. If your friend has Animal Crossing: Wild World, you can move to there town. You will lose the character you're moving though.

  • Festivals/Events that happen throughout the year add more enjoyment to the game. Certain things are only avaliable through these.

  • Sounds are fun to hear. They change through the day and season.

  • AMAZING use of the touch screen. You can drag and drop, control your character, run with the stylus, and more!

    THE BAD:
Weeds build over time, getting annoying to pick.

Gets boring, but most games do.

Somewhat repetitive routine. Things happen day-in and day-out. It doesn't change too much.

Hard to complete it without an AR or Wifi. You can't get foriegn fruits easily, or make a lot of bells.

Tom Nook makes you go through an annoying "intro adventure" everytime you make a new character. You have to post a bulletin, deliver letters and items, and talk to every character. It is good for new people, but verterans will be annoyed by it.

Resetti makes sure you don't turn off...even if it's an accident. He'll give you a long (5-10+ minute) lecture if you do.

Not much inventory space. You have pockets that hold 15 items, and 6 dresser spaces, which each one can hold 15 things. Although there are other tricks to hold things, it is annoying.

Takes a lot of effort to get Bells. You must "dumpster dive" (through the recycling bin) and sell things you may like.

    SUMMARY:
    Opinion
I personally love this game, and can't get enough. They should make a remake (if possible) to the game, adding more features. It does, like all games, get boring, but once it does you could just restart it or take a break. It takes a while, so don't be to worried. The main thing that annoys me is the lack of inventory (pockes/cabintet) space. That, though, is made up for by the events that happen throughout the year, and many other things.

    Gameplay
Pretty much, you are living a second life. The currency is Bells, and you set out to pay off your home loan and get the mansion. A house with the main room, three side rooms, and an extra room upstairs. When you save, you "go to sleep" in the attic upstairs. Everyone, besides you, are animals. Wifi is a major part of this game, giving an extra boost to its fun and enjoyment. DS to DS communication is also possible. If you or your friend is starting a new game and doesn't want to lose their old character, they can move to or from your game card.

    Sounds
The sounds are fantastic. They change, and have many different tunes. It gives you a realistic feel of it. The sound of rain, you walking, bugs, animals, and more. The Animalese is interesting, and in my opinion, fun to listen to.

    Graphics
The graphics are amazing for a handheld game. They are as good as, or maybe better, than the GameCube game. The scrolling world feature is a new, and interesting idea. It makes you feel as if you are actually part of the game. More games should have this. The Animals and People are very well thought out, and done well. Since there are so many different things to attach to your character, you have to say the did a very nice job.

    Controls
The controls are amazing! You can use the stylus and touch screen for some things, and the buttons for others. If you are running, the stylus is better. But if you're just walking, move with the control pad! If you feel like getting your warm knit hat out of your closet, just click A or tap on your character. It's that simple. They did a great job on this aspect of the game to.

    Final Words...
If you haven't already, pick this game up today! It never ends, and has great potential to be one of the games that when you ask if someone has played, everyone has and said it was amazing. I don't think I'll ever get bored, because of Wifi and so many other things to do. You can make more characters, and friends can move in! Overall, I would give this game a 5/5.

    THE GOOD:
    Lots of furniture and Accessories
    Special Occasions
    Townsfolk
    Fruits
    Wi-fi
    Patterns

    THE BAD:
    Not enough inventory space
    Resetti
Other then that i don't think there are any other things that are bad!

    SUMMARY:
Animal Crossing WW is a simulation game that brings you into the animals world. Venture through many parts of the town befriending villagers, and seeing spectacular events! Participate in the community by helping the villagers out, or make their day by sending them a letter! Grab a snack at lunch time at the roost for a quick break, or just pull a fruit off a tree for a quick nibble! Even when you're not playing the animals still are!

    Furniture
Furniture is a huge part in Animal Crossing WW. You can use it to decorate your house or mail it to a friend for a present! You can sell furniture to make a quick few amount of bells! I enjoy shopping for rare furniture in the ever popular Nook shop! Where its Nook's Cranny, Nook N' Go, Nook Way, or Nookingtons you will sure have a blast shopping here!

    Special Occasions
There are many fun exciting events that happen in the town. Unlike the first version of Animal Crossing, there are events that are new! Events such as Flea Market, La di Da day, and the Bright nights are some of the BEST events that I enjoy. I like them because it really brightens up my day to hear some nice town tunes, get a quick bargain, and see wonderful lights on the villager's houses! Other events such as the fishing tourney, and bug catching tourney are very popular. If you catch a large enough bug/fish you may end up being the winner! And get a trophy!

    Townsfolk
As you start the game you have very few townsfolk. Maybe three or so. But there's more! There are over 60 villagers to play with, send mail, and even love! You can also participate with them in special events that happen year round! I like the townsfolk because befriending each one is fun. Helping them out with tasks, and playing their games is a fun way to enjoy the game!

    Fruits
The fruits are back but with an added twist. Unlike Animal Crossing GCN, you can now get coconuts. Unfortunately you cannot eat them but you can plant them near the beach. Fruit is a fun way to green up your village. You can easily plant them with some basic tools such as the shovel. You can plant fruit trees in any time of the year and they'll grow pretty fast! The fruit trees will change colour with the seasons as well as the rest of the trees! You can also grab a fruit off the ground and gobble it up for a quick little snack! I enjoy this because of the way I look when i eat a ton of fruit! My character looks really happy and turns his frown upside down when I give him a cherry! There are fruits such as Apples, Oranges, Cherries, Peaches, and Pears!

    Wi-fi
Wi-fi is one of the best parts of Animal Crossing WW! You can easily travel to your friends villages and communicate with them using the keyboard section! You can host games, give gifts, post on the Bulletin Board, and even mail your friends at their town! You can shop in Nook's & Ables, check out their museum, and have fun in town hall. I really enjoy this feature because you can travel to friends half-way across thew world! You can play games, chat, and even help garden their towns!

    Patterns
Go in ables and the first thing you see in the large stands full with beautiful clothing, and accessories! You can even create your own clothing by talking to the nice able sisters. You can easily create gorgeous designs with a huge range of colours, and you can even place them on the ground outside, or send them as a background on your options section! You can also wear them as a hat too, or even a nice umbrella! I like this because I can decorate my town as a theme, and show off my clothing to my friends!

I do wish that Animal Crossing WW would have some things that were better..

If there was more inventory space then I'd love it even more. There's only a total of 15 spots to place your items and 25 if you put items in your letters. I wish there was like 30 because then i could hold a lot more items!

I also wished there was no resetti because he be's really mean to you if you accidentally press the reset button. I think he's too mean but he's really funny!

DS  Animal Crossing DS. The best game! 5.0

    THE GOOD:
    Wi-Fi
    Colourful Characters :-)
    Shopping
    Bug Catching
    Fishing
    Museum
    K.K. Slider ^.^
    Events
    Crazy Redd/Katrina/Gracie

    THE BAD:
    Can't marry villagers >.<
    The rest is absolute perfection.

    SUMMARY:
Animal Crossing: Wild World is one of the best games I've played. It's pure quality. The graphics are incredible - considering it's a DS game. There's lots and lots of items to collect and you can make your house really big by paying off a mortgage.

K.K. Slider is one of my favourite things about the game. You can choose your songs then K.K. sings them to you and then you can keep them in the radio at home. I'd recommend K.K. Cruisin' and K.K. Love Song to start off your collection.

I also love the Able Sisters shop. You can design your own clothes, wallpapers and flooring (for your house), umbrellas and hats. You can also make friends with Sable and hear her childhood storys about her and Tom Nook (I won't spoil the story!)

Another thing is that I have four people living in my house. Me, and my friends - Derry, Cyrus and Sam. Ha ha ha. I usually use those charcters for extra storage as I have a lot of items. But when they do play, they have a lot of fun. You can also change your bed. I personally have a Lovely Bed (yes, that is what it's called.) It's pink with lovely red heart-shaped pillows. I'd recommend it!

Tom Nooks shop is also a good aspect of the game. You start off working for him (Don't worry, it's not THAT boring.) And then you have to pay off the mortage for your house. This takes roughly a month - but if you're in a REAL rush, you can sell pears and have it done in a few days. After you pay your mortgage, Tom Nook builds you an extension on your house. After a lot of mortgage paying and extension building, you can have a really big house! I personally own a mansion.

The Happy Room Acadamy is an acadamy that rates your room. If you have a mansion like myself, and lots of furniture, you can get a lot of points - and that means a lot of prizes! At first, it's only natural that your room totally STINKS. Don't worry, maybe you can come to my house in my town for some inspiration. (PM me - AnimalCrossingOwns)

Wi-Fi is one of the best things about this game! You can travel to a friends town - even if they live really far away! There are lots of forums where players can exchange friend codes and visit eachother. Also, there is a mysterious cat that comes and asks you to design their face (like plastic surgery. Yuck!) It's the same system as when you design clothes at Able Sisters. Then you name your design. For example: If I designed the mysterious cats face and named it "cute face" then connected to Wi-Fi, someone in a different town would have a cat with the face I designed and the cat would say "This design was made by Sarah from Startown! It's called "cute face"!" then the player would be able to redesign her face. Wi-Fi can sometimes lag a bit, but you can forgive that - Wi-Fi is pure quality!

    Enjoy playing! -Sarah

DS  Amazing and Way Better Then It's First Game! 4.5

    THE GOOD:
    1. Graphics are more then good, better then the first Animal Crossing game.
    2. Fishing.
    3. Wifi.
    4. Bug Catching.
    5. Shopping.
    6. Enjoyable Music.
    7. Flower Hybrids!

    THE BAD:
    1. Can't Marry the Villagers.
    2. No Veggies!
    3. Only a Type feature to communicating.
    4. No Real Plot
    5. No Island Like There Was On the First Game
    6. Towns Should Be Able To Hold More Villagers!

    SUMMARY:
Animal Crossing: Wild World was the very first Nintendo DS game I ever bought and played. And by far it's one of the best. Since I had played the first Animal Crossing game I had expected for this game to be good but not amazing! It really blew my socks off, and I couldn't ever get enough of it, so I played the game all day and all night!

Animal Crossing: Wild World was released on December 5th of 2005. Just like it's first game, it was developed and published by Nintendo. Animal Crossing: Wild World was to me the best game of that year, and still is today.

When beginning the game, your character will enter the town, buying a house, then beginning his/hers life. Just like in the first Animal Crossing game there are debts on the house and with each upgrade made the debt will rise. Finding a good strategy for making money a must when trying to pay off all your debt!

Soon after playing the game you'll notice while, walking around, shopping, picking weeds, planting flowers, talking to villagers, etc that the graphics are quite excellent. To me they looked just the same as the first Animal Crossing game except better! Wild World's graphics are also a bit different from that of Animal Crossing's first game, instead of just moving to a different place on the map and the screen stays in it's same position, this time it moves as if your character was walking on a round object/globe. With this new feature houses, trees, flowers, weeds, and villagers themselves can be seen much better.

Along with the great new graphics and its features, Animal Crossing: Wild World also allows your character to fish and catch bugs just like in the first game. But this time fishing and bug catching can be done with more determination because of the large amounts of new types of fish and bugs that can be found. Not only are there more to find but they're also very exotic and rare. Bugs and fish are now also hard to find, the more special and colorful ones being the rarest while the less colorful and exotic being most common. Even if they are hard to find one of the features that stayed the same is that when you want to catch or fish for something it's done the exact same way you would in the first Animal Crossing game.

Unlike the very first Animal Crossing game, Wild World is played on the Nintendo DS and has wifi capabilities. For me I not only think that this is a great feature but wifi also made the game much more enjoyable and fun. Most of the reason I kept playing was to enjoy the wifi side of Animal Crossing. On wifi you can go to other people's towns or just stay at your own, so leave your gates open for another person to come through. Another feature that wifi adds is that you can chat with your visitors by using a small key board screen built in with the game. To me I think that a voice feature would be much better in this case due to the fact that pointing at each and every letter on the board gets rather stressful and tiring.

Animal Crossing: Wild World still has fruit trees just like the first game did. But obtaining these fruit trees may be hard because when starting out your town only has one native fruit tree it could ether be an apple, orange, cherry, peach, or pear tree. The towns also can grow coconut trees but these can only be grown close to the beach, coconuts also are usually only found by being given one from your mom or on washed up on the beach itself. The only thing I'm complaining about with the whole growing fruits thing is that I wished there could be vegetable crops you could grow, even though there are turnips I think Animal Crossing would be even better if carrots, potatoes, radishes, cucumbers, green beans, and other veggies could be grown.

Another great feature in Animal Crossing: Wild World is just like with the first game this game has great music! Personally to me I think the music is not only good but it makes me feel the vibe of the game even better. Without the music I know that I definitely wouldn't like the game as much.

A feature that is very unlike and different from the very first Animal Crossing game is that in this game flower hybrids can be made. This new feature is probably one of the most fun and awesome things that Animal Crossing: Wild Wolrd offers. Even though making these flowers was challenging I always looked forward to finding them each and every day. It truly made my experience while playing Wild World so much more amazing!

So wither it be shopping, fishing, catching bugs, planting flowers, growing fruit trees, paying off your dept, etc there is always something in Animal Crossing: Wild World that you can have fun with. Never will you get bored again, because while playing this game you will have the time of your gaming life!

    DS  Very Addicting! 3.0

    THE GOOD:
    wi-fi
    more things to collect
more fish and bugs to catch
    more fossils to dig
    graphics are good

    THE BAD:
    can get boring at times

    SUMMARY:
Nintendo is known by creating fun and family oriented games, and Animal Crossing DS is no different. Animal Crossing for the DS is much better than the DS as there is much more things do and with it's wi-fi, only attracts buyers even more as it is also handheld.

Okay now, let's begin on the gist of the game shall we.

When you begin the game for the first time, you are on a ride with a guy named kapp'n and he asks you for your name and your gender for your character and he asks you were your going which will be your town name!

After, he's done asking you questions, you will arrive to your town where the wonderful Tom Nook will will give you a part time job to pay off for part of the home loan, he will ask you to do various tasks, ask plant some trees and flowers around his shop and send letters to the village people actually there animals and deliver items that they might of orderd.

After your done with Nook you can do virtually anything, but obviously you'll want a bigger house and for that you need to pay off your loans, and you can raise money by selling fruit, fish, fossils, bugs, gyroids, and shells at the beach!

There is this thing called HRA (Happy room Academy) where a agency will rate your house based on well matched and how much lucky items you have.

There is a dude named Lyle that will try and sell you insurance, like everytime you get stung by a bee you can get 100 bells, it's up to you if you want it, but for me it's not worth it.

Unlike, the gamecube version the holidays have been taken out due to different races and relgions, although there is a festive tree and a festive candle you can purchase

You can also collect the villagers pictures by talking to them, doing there errands, wave to them, attend there birthday parties, and send them letters.

The charcaters can be a huge array in the game as each animal has a different dialouge even though some may have the same personality, maybe you can find animal just like you ! ^__^

oh yes and from the DS version and the gamecube version you can shot items out from the sky with a slingshot and you can water flowers to keep a nice lush garden!!!

wi-fi is kinda limited because you need to know ones friend code to visit there code, instead of just going to a random town with ones gates open.

but because there's only so much you can actually buy and so many things you can experience on a day-to-day basis, the game is really best played in short, controlled bursts, other-wise it can get boring if you play too much in day

Even the boxshot of this game shows off just how much there is to do in this game

Animal Crossing: Wild World, a sequel to the scarily addicting Animal Crossing for the GameCube. That much still holds true for this original sequel. Many of the hit characters that were memorable from the original Gamecube game, like Tom Nook all come back round 2 in this game. Cap'n even makes a return, not for long however, but older gamers will enjoy the blast from the past. In this new game there are more collectibles, more upgrades, more anything you can think of. In essence this game is a huge upgrade from the old gamecube game. There is even Wi-Fi connection in this game, which makes the whole trading process much easier. However, a let down from the hit original is a loss of NES games, Nintendo stated that the NES games 'took away from the game itself' so they pulled them out. However, with that little inconvenience this game is still a great one for many reasons.

This game in essence is a great one the game really cannot be placed into any Genre, it could possibly be a Sim Game, but it's so much more then that. There's options to do almost everything. You can collect fish, insects, fossils, shirts, hats, wallpapers for your house, carpet for your house, and furniture for your house. There's lots do in the town in Animal Crossing: Wild World, you even get to name your town! On top of all of that there can be up to 8 villagers in your town at a time, which just adds to the amount of stuff you can do in your town. Villagers are so interactive that you can build different levels of friendships with them, and when you are at your highest point of friendship with them they'll even send you a little picture of themselves, these little things are what makes this game so great. On top of all of this there are 2 stores in the town. Tom Nook's and The Able Sisters. Tom Nook's is really where everything is at. Tom Nook charges you money to upgrade your house, and these upgrades are needed there are 7 of them and all of them slowly turn your house into a very big mansion fully equipped with a main room, 3 sub rooms, and an upstairs level.

Quick, shut the door before all the heat gets out! This is how your house will start out, a nice cozy little home, quick upgrade it so you can see that beautiful mansion!

Tom Nook also has the only store in town which you can buy stuff from. The more money you spend at his store the more he'll upgrade as well. In the end he upgrades to a huge 2 storey department store fully equipped with his own Barber Shop. At the Able Sisters you can buy patterns to place on your floor, or even to place on your own designer shirts. There is also a museum in town in which you can donate all the fish, insects, and fossils you collect. You can even make full blown recreations of dinosaurs such as the T-Rex! You can also donate Paintings that you get as well. There are many famous paintings that you will recognize. In the museum in the lower floor there is a Coffee Shop where every Saturday Night from 8-12AM K.K. Slider will come and play some music for you, at this same point the credits for the game will play =P. In the top storey of the Museum is a new feature, the constellations feature, in which you can make your own constellations that will appear in your sky, and can even sometimes get transferred to a friend. The last notable building is the Town Hall, here you find the recycling bin in which sometimes villagers throw in their 'garbage' which you just might find useful =P. Be careful though because it's cleared ever Monday & Thursday! In here you can pay off your never ending debt to Tom Nook. There is also the Town Gate in which the 2 cops stay. Booker & Copper, these 2 cops are your access to local and wi-fi connection, so treat them well. One also has a lost and found.. which well you can claim all of the items in, pretty neat huh? Cuztomizability is a strong suit in this game, and customizing yourself or your house has never been easier, it's all click and drag with the intuitive controls.

Wow, the house and character can all be customized with the drag of a stylus!

Now, the graphics of this game are something that Nintendo should be proud of. This game clearly shows how well the DS can handle graphically demanding games. The game runs at a smooth 60 Frames Per Second, and this is possible through what the developers like to call 'scrolling world effect'. While playing this game you'll notice that the town while running up and down slowly scrolls away and back as if you were running on a ball, hence the boxshot of this game has the earth with all the buildings scattered around as they are in the game.

This video show's exactly what the 'scrolling world effect' really is, watch as the character runs up and down the screen.

Nevertheless, these graphics are great and could even rival the Gamecube game.

Wi-Fi Connection. A first for the Animal Crossing Series. In the previous games trading was a hassle and had to be done through 'trading codes' which weren't as exciting as having friends coming over and giving you items in exchange for your hard earned bells. Getting online has never been easier, all you have to do is have a wireless connections set up, go talk to Cooper and bam! You now have a friendcode, once you share this friend code with others and they add you as well they can all come over! You can have a maximum of 4 characters over at one time. This game is really good at handling lag, never once in my 2.5 years of owning this game have I experienced lag yet. That's a huge plus as lag usually turns gamers off from the whole Wi-Fi experience. The new keyboard is actually very fitting as the touch controls make it easy and quick to type messages to your friends. The whole chatting system makes the game that much better, though a lack of voice recognition hurts the whole experience, once you get used to the whole keyboard experience you'll like it.

Look at these 4 players enjoy a nice relaxing time on Wi-Fi.

The new controls on this game make the game really likeable and easy to play. Everything can be done via the touch screen, which makes the game a quick and easy game to learn how to play. Even a person playing the DS for the first time will probably learn how to play within 10-15 minutes. It's not that hard. Really.

The sound in this game is amazing, the sound changes with the day whether it be dusk, daytime, noon, evening, or nighttime it all changes. Many people even speak of how relaxing the nighttime music really is. I myself agree the music in this game is great, from the exhilirating music from catching a fish to the quiet and calm lull of nighttime bliss, this game really hits the spot with the audio.

Now, Lasting value, this is the games only true downfall. Now this game will take you ages to get to the final upgrade which seem sto be the only REAL thing that you need to accomplish, it will easily take you 30+ hours to get the final upgrade. Along the way you'll make great friends and fall in love with this game, but what many people have a problem with is.. once you have the final upgrade there's not that much going for the game anymore. Only completionists will spend hours upon hours possibly even months more finding all of the insects, and bugs. This is because of all of the different seasons there are in this game, if I haven't pointed it out yet there are the Earth's Seasons as well as the Day's Cycle in this game. Making all of the furniture, insects, and all other collectables really hard to get. However, cool little 'holidays' such as the made up Acorn Hunt Week, or Snowman's Day will keep you coming back. I mean how many of us don't want to collect little Acorn's and give them to somebody in exchange for awesome exclusive Acorn Furniture? Or how many of us don't want to go back and make a few snowmen for some awesome exclusive snowman furniture?! This game really does have a lot to pull you back. Occasionally. It just don't have enough to keep you coming back constantly once you're done with the main part of the game.

All in all however this game is a great one, from the collectables, to the villagers in the town anything and everything you name is in this game. It's a great step up from the original Gamcube version and adds so much more. If you haven't bought this game I highly suggest you do and I reccomend to anyone and everyone out there. Have fun guys!

DS  A "Wild World" Indeed. 4.6

    THE GOOD:
    - Many Things To Do.
    - Good Graphics.
    - Good Music.
    - Many Things To Collect.
    - Online Play.
    - People That Leave And Move To Your Town.
    - Costumization In Almost Everyway.
    - Special Characters.
    - Events That Depend On Your DS's Clock.

    THE BAD:
    - Bad People On Wi-Fi.
    - If You Don't Save, You Are Screwed.
    - Voice Acting Is Weird.

    SUMMARY:
This game is probably the best for the Nintendo DS right now, and it will be like that in a good, long time.

There's always something interesting to do. You can fish, catch bugs, dig fossils, chat with your neighbors, explore your town, plant, etc.. This game will keep you busy for more than 5 hours, you can't get bored of it that easily, even when you don't understand it, you get hooked for about 1 hour or so.

The graphics are very good. It doesn't matter if the characters have bigger heads than their bodies, it is still awesome.

The music is very good, and it changes according to the time of the day or the place. You can also get more music, you can put that music in your "jukebox" and hear very different tunes, you can replace the music for other one to create a incredible atmosphere in your house. You can also create your own "Town Tune", that's like the anthem for your town, and it will play everytime a new hour starts.

You can collect many things, that's one of the things that you keep you busy. You can collect fish, bugs, fossils and "Gyroids" (weird things that create a funny sound). You can place them in your house, sell them to get money, or donate to the museum. You can also collect furniture to decorate your house or sell it.
You can customize almost everything. You can select the roof color of your house, put furniture on it, create your own patterns that you can use later to create umbrellas, clothing, flooring, wallpapers, and more! You can also customize your character changing his hairstyle and clothing, also he/she can use special accesories in the hair or face.

The potential for this game is the online play. You can visit many towns to collect fruit and more! Now, if there is a lot of things to do alone, imagine how much you can do with another player!
Many of your neighbors will move out, and many others will move in. You can have a total of 8 neighbors, each neighbor has a different personality than the others. If you don't like a character, you can make his life impossible so he will move out, and a new one will come after a day or so.

There is a bunch of special characters that can do special things for you. You can get patterns, special furniture, floorings, wallpapers, and more from them. There are characters that you can mess with, like "Blanca". You have to create her face and she will leave to another town.

Many events depend in your DS's Clock. This game has real-life holidays like in-game holidays. The in-game holidays are very fun, totally different things than in real life. Like "Yay-Day", to give compliments to your neighbors. Also when it is your birthday, you will get a gift from your best friend for sure.

There are many bad people that play on Wi-Fi. they will not think twice before messing your town cutting your trees, destroying the flowers, or stealing your fruit. Hopefully, YOU decide with who you will play, that's the friend code for. Your friendcode is like your phone number, people need it to play with you. Choose carefully with who you will play, there are many bad people playing.

If you don't save, you will not only lose all your progess, but you will also meet this annoying mole called "Resetti". Resetti will give you a huge lecture about saving, and seriously, he takes a lot of your time.

The voice acting is weird and scary, the animals talk in "Animaleze". You can't understand a word from them, so good that when they talk, you see a text boc with the "translation". Also, if you really hate how they talk, there's an option to keep everybody mute.

Overall, you must get this game. Maybe this game, as I said before, is the best for the DS. The online play makes it unique, plus everything you can do, there's no chance you will get bored soon. I mean, this game has been on the market for a very long time, and it is still the favorite for many people.

DS  Animal Crossing: Wild World 4.6

    THE GOOD:
  • good graphics and sound
  • realtime gameplay, adjusting to your DS clock
  • activities and holidays according to real life
  • WiFi connection allows to visit other towns
  • up to 8 animal characters that can move in, each with a different personality
  • activities such as fishing, bug catching, gardening and star gazing
  • learning emotions and new accessories
  • many uses for the touch screen

    THE BAD:

  • gameplay can become boring over time
  • WiFi lags and has long loading times
  • pockets can only hold 15 items
  • weeds will accumulate if you do not play

    SUMMARY:
After a long wait, the anticipated Animal Crossing: Wild World was finally released after four years. The sequel to the hit Animal Crossing for the GCN has become a major DS hit. The point of Animal Crossing is to live your life in a town with animal neighbours. The creators have added many new features such as new neighbours, WiFi connection and new places in town to visit.

The game begins in the back of taxi, where you are questioned about your appearance, name and town. These questions will determine whether you are a male or female, what your face looks like, your name and the name of your town. Once at your town, you may begin to explore and become accustomed to the way of the game.

    Graphics

The game has relatively good graphics. The colours are bright, vibrant and easy to adjust to. A major change in the graphics was how the world rotates. Instead of using the old acre setup, the world rotates in the direction you are moving. Another change came from the double screen. The top screen can display the current weather or the night sky, while the bottom screen displays the world. The graphics may not be realistic, but they are perfect for the game. When I played for the first time, the round world and graphics took a few minutes to adjust, but I generally have come to like it.

The gameplay and rotating world of Animal Crossing: Wild World.

    Sound

The sounds in the game are fantastic in my opinion. They may be a bit on the quiet side, but they are much more realistic. As you move around throughout the game, you can hear things such as the crunch of snow, chirping of different bugs, and rain. One thing I didn't enjoy was the annoying chatter of the "animalese" talk. All the animals take with an annoying, ramble that you cannot understand. Luckily, you can turn off the "animalese" and there are captions to translate what they are saying. One last feature of the sounds is the background sounds. When time changes, and seasons too, the background sounds change.

    Gameplay

In Animal Crossing, you play a human who is moving into a new town. As you arrive at your town, you are greeted by animal neighbours and you begin your life! As you work off your debt to Tom Nook, you can fish, bug catch, star gaze, garden or dig up fossils! You start with a small house, then by paying "bells" (currency), you can upgrade your house to a mansion! Unlike the old game, you can purchase a left, right and back room instead of a basement. The gameplay is very easy to follow, as it is based on real life time! With the change in time brings new seasons, and holidays. For example, in December, it snows and they have a New Year festival on December 31st. Cheaters can also timetravel, by changing the DS time forward and backward. However, forward time traveling can cause weeds! The downside to the gameplay is the fact that after a while, there is nothing new. I played for a few months straight, but became bored once I payed off my last mortgage on my house.

The largest house in the game.

Although this game may have no real goal, you have much to go. There are many places to explore, and some that are new. Newly added buildings include the Observatory, Brwester's Cafe (where K.K. Slider plays), and the Barber Shop. Once you have unlocked the Barber shop, you can change your hairstyle and colour for a sum of bells. The Observatory is where you can star gaze, create constellations and find dates when certain constellations will be arriving. Lastly, the Cafe is where the famous K.K. Slider plays Saturday nights. Brewster sells coffee there, however, it does not do anything to the game.

    Controls/Touch Screen

This game is much more interactive with the touch screen feature. Controls are easy to use, and the touch screen can be used a lot. The touch screen can move items, change window screens, move your character, fish/bug catch and more! I found that the touch screen can be annoying for running around town (with flowers so fragile) or by scaring fish/bugs. I like it to move items around when selling or just in my backpack.

    Controls
  • X - Opens map of town
  • Y - Opens items
  • B - Cancels requests, closes windows, speeds up chat
  • A - Accepts requests
  • Select - Opens the chat window
  • Start - Saves the game from where you are
  • Arrows - Direct your character along the world

    WiFi Connection

Another DS game to have the wonderful WiFi feature. Although long loading times, and high chances of lagging out, the WiFi feature is possibly the best addition to the game. With it, I feel you can add at least another month of gameplay. You can visit friend's towns and receive their message in bottles. While in their town, you can talk and play games. I suggest having fishing/bug catching contests, and if you have four, capture the flag. All of this can apply to DS-to-DS connection as well. This is my favourite feature of the game.

    Lasting Opinions

For a second game in the Animal Crossing series, I think this DS version is one of the best DS games out there. It can be repetitive, so I suggest restarting your game when you become bored of it. I found I played this game for hours on end, and for months at time. Watch out for glitches and on WiFi connection, as people can be nasty players. I highly recommend this game to any player of the previous game, or have never tried it!
