THE GOOD:
There are many good things about this game, so it'll be hard to list them all. But first things first, it's worth getting.

-Great battle system
-Awesome cinematics
-Detailed storyline with conflicts and other affairs
-A great time-killer
-Killer graphics

THE BAD:
Not too much to say here.

-Objects on battlefield get in the way occasionally
-Final missions take a hell of a lot of time to finish
-Sadly, no voice acting

SUMMARY:
Well as you can see from the score I gave this game, you can tell I really love this game. In my opinion, one of the best games on the DS. Square Enix doesn't disappoint.

The cinematics are very nice too look at, it's like you're in a theater, but on your DS.
After you play this game for a couple days(or hours, if you're hardcore), the storyline gets you hooked. The addition of the aegyl (an awesome angel race)was definately a plus for me, they're so cool.
The battle system is so awesome, you can control gigantic armies, and have the freedom of no turn-by-turn attacks, like in Tactics. Man, controlling a god is awesome as well. After you have that thing out, you barely even need your main characters.
Some people might not like the graphics, but I think it's cool that it's so retro-like.
There's no waiting for your turn here, you are free to move around your main characters as you like. Speaking of main characters, you also have many choices of people to use as fighters, or leaders. Although watch out, the enemy has variety as well.

On the rare occasion, you might be running from a couple enemies the could own your ass, and then...well, your guy sorta runs himself into a rock or something. Not very helpful when you've been spending so much time on the battle, and then all of your guys get owned. Not fun. Also, if you are running in a group, one guy could get separated by a tree in the ground. Then, you have one less guy. I didn't enjoy that.

The only final bad thing about FF12 is that once you've beaten the game, there are some extra missions so you can unlock all the gods. Unfortunately, while you are level 50-some, they are level 100. How long would it take to level up to that standard...couple weeks of semi-gaming, maybe 8 hours of hardcore gaming?

If you happened to play the first game in this series, then you'll love this one just as much, maybe even more. I won't ruin the surprises that wait for you in the story, but I have to admit it was a step up from the first. Aegyl for the win.

That's all I have to say, you can take my advice and get the game, or you can miss out on a great experience. Your choice.

Overall, a 4.8/5 for a almost-perfect game on the NDS.
