"Madden NFL 06 for the DS is a game that has eliminated most of the ugly bugs from last year's entry, but it still doesn't manage to rise much above the quality of its predecessor."

"As a whole it's still not bad, but in many cases the new version feels like a step backwards because of some bad ideas implemented in the new edition. It's clearly evolving, and perhaps if and when the game's ready for the 2007 namesake the development team will have had a lot more time and experience with the DS system to fully present Madden the way it should be on the dual screen handheld."
