THE GOOD:
  • SOLID hours of pure gameplay
  • 386 Pokemon to recruit
  • a decent storyline (should take about 6-12 hours for the main story)
  • rescue other Neoseeker members using "SOS codes"

    SUMMARY:
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team
» Do you have what it takes?

Welcome to the world of Pokemon! Please answer a few questions before starting the game.

^ That's somewhat like how the story begins. A mysterious force will ask you some questions. Depending on your answers, it will decide which Pokemon you are meant to be. You can then choose your partner after this. But, choose carefully! Your partner will be with you throughout most of the story.

In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, you must travel through defeating enemies to reach your "rescue client". Sometimes there won't even be a specific objective in the "dungeon"- you just need to make it through to the end. Sometimes a boss Pokemon will...

    THE GOOD:
    + Colourful visuals
    + Good level design
+ Pokémon sprites look spot on
    + A great story
    + Music is good
+ Getting to BE a Pokémon
+ Good help system (explained in Summary)

    THE BAD:
    - Some frustrating bosses and dungeons
    - Bad use of the touch screen
    - Partners can be annoying
    - The way it picks a Pokémon for you
    - Feels like a GBA port

    SUMMARY:
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon has had many poor reviews in magazines. This game was the first and, at the moment, only game where you can be a Pokémon. This game is actually my favourite Pokémon games on the DS. Its fun gameplay, good story and colourful graphics make it so great.

    GRAPHICS

These may not put the DS to ultimate use, but the graphics on this are very...

    THE GOOD:
The game has fairly good graphics, not as good as some other pokemon games, but not horrible at all. There is a wide variety of Dungeon music, along with an upbeat interesting base/town melody. There is a wide variety of starter pokemon to pick from, along with a partner. It is diferent then most pokemon games due to the ability to actually "be" the pokemon. The storyline takes quite a long time to beat, and once you do complete it, there is more then enough to do.

    THE BAD:
Dungeons can be up to 99 floors and can be very boring and challenging. You cannot evolve until the main storyline is complete.

    SUMMARY:
    Graphics:
Definantly not the most impressive pokemon graphics, but not at all low quality. The images include town scenes, friend areas, dungeons, pokemon sprites, and a few up close shots of a pokemon's face. The game is very fun and exciting, so there's honestly rarely time to really focus on the...

    THE GOOD:
    - The graphics
    - The storyline
    - The amount of Pokemon
    - All the Legends to collect
    - It's a slight challenge
    - It's a good change from the normal Pokemon games
    - You rely on your friends when you die
    - There is a lot to do
    - You can rescue others with the Red Rescue Team on Game Boy Advanced.
    - It takes strategy and skill to be the best

    THE BAD:
    - It is easy to cheat
    - Some of the dungeons are boring and long
    - You can't evolve until you beat the storyline
    - You can't battle your friends
    - You can't trade Pokemon with your friends

    SUMMARY:
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team can be played on the Nintendo DS Console only, and is not like the regular Pokemon games, eg. Pearl, Ruby, Fire Red. In the game, you control a Pokemon, and you wake up with no memory, in a world of Pokemon, with no humans in sight. You remember that you were a human, but nothing else. Then...
