THE GOOD:
-Larger Pokedex.
Trainers now have a bigger variety to choose from when making their in-game/Elite Four teams.
-Updated Battle Frontier
The Battle Frontier has a better and more attracting image. Rivals in the Battle Frontier are harder and have more sensible Pokemon/move-sets.
-Graphics
With the better 3D look, it's almost impossible not to fall in love with the game. Images in the game seem to be real and can almost be seen coming out of the hand held console.
-Less Confusing
Many have been dumbfounded while playing the original Pearl & Diamond but with the new order in gym leaders, this problem is no more.

THE BAD:
-Longer Dialogue
People feel like their chatting up with coms more than they're actually playing the game. The added dialogue gives a bigger and more accurate explanation but many agree that too much can be boring.
-Torn World
Trainers hate getting lost and stuck in the legendary "Torn World." The random strolling and the repetitive scenery can get quite annoying.
-Not Enough Changes
All can agree that there aren't enough changes or add-ons. The game could have been improved if a brand new improvement or update, never before seen, was first released with the game.

SUMMARY:
This would really be a better game for those who are trying out Generatin IV for the first time. The game can please those who have already played D/P but wouldn't be as exciting. It doesn't really contain enough changes to be a mandatory/must-have game.

Again, the game begins with the trainer picking his/her starter Pokemon and eventually gets led to the evils that must be stopped. All opponents/rivals have Pokemon and resolve their problems with a battle. There are seventeen different types of Pokemon; all of which are are extremely strong or extremely weak against another type, with some that do absolutely no damage to another.

Most Pokemon battles are fought one on one with the occasional two vs. two. During a battle, each Pokemon is given a turn in which to use a move. The power, speed, and damage of the move is mostly based on the user's stats. The three types of attack moves are Special, Physical, and Status. Special moves do more damage when used by a Pokemon with high Special Attack. Physical moves do more damage when a Pokemon has a higher Attack Power. Status moves don't do any damage but effect the status of the target. Each Pokemon also has an ability that can affect the status of the Pokemon or the opponent. Abilities usually provide a great deal of help in a battle.

The game play has been improved. The Pokedex jumps from 150 Pokemon to over 200. With a great increase such as this, trainers may have a different experience playing. With the enhanced graphics, the images look very life like and can better grab your attention and will definitely get you hooked. You'll notice how addictive and entertaining it can be. With the new features, including the new ability to record your battles, trainers get more for what they pay for. Trainers can record battles they love and share them with friends and, due to the changes at the GTS, worldwide.

The new game even has an altered story line! Many new characters are introduced and help you on your adventure. Many help you fight against the evils of Team Galactic and help you on your quest of becoming Pokemon Champion, one of many overall goals of the series. You have more to keep you busy with and less time to just wonder around aimlessly.

Many have enjoyed the newly added "Torn World" and the fact that looking for the game mascot is more interesting than having it wait for you in a cave, but others feel that the "Torn World" can get quite boring and annoying.

The game is very enjoyable but keeping/buying Pokemon Diamond and Pearl versions, instead, is recommended.
