The game looks to be extremely extensive with several dozen puzzles in the adventure, and then the extra puzzles that'll only be available when you hop online with the system. In all, there seems to be several hours of gameplay in Professor Layton's first adventure in the US.
"Professor Layton and the Curious Village is a great game for anyone who enjoys brain-teasers. It can become highly addictive, and is perfect for micro- game sessions. It's a great overall presentation."
Professor Layton and the Curious Village mixes an interesting story, challenging logic puzzles, and exploration into an extremely entertaining package that you won't want to put down.
"The two sleuth’s appearance are closely tied together, but most of the other characters are unique. The village itself is wonderfully drawn using genuine images of old Europe."
"Unfortunately, the concept and its curious title might cause the causal DS crowd to overlook it. It would be their loss. This might be a quirky Japanese import, but even after only a few minutes you can quickly see that we're lucky a translated version reached our shores."
