"Players are transformed into a little boy and thrown back into the 1980s, back when the Famicom ruled the game scene. You were sent back by Game Master Arino, who requires you to play and complete various retro games challenges to return to your own time. "

Something old, something new.
"For only half the cost of a console epic, you can take a surprisingly enjoyable trip back to the days when games were short and sweet, codes were plentiful and hype came strictly from magazines and word of mouth. How much is that worth to you? "

"Retro gaming has been a part of our culture for quite a while now, and it's fascinating to see that progress from collections of the games we used to play to all new productions that celebrate a bygone era. The developers of Retro Game Challenge didn't just accurately recreate 8-bit gaming -- they made a bunch of really good games. Requiring players to complete specific challenges is a great way to get us thinking about a game in new ways. Plus there's all this extra content that they didn't need to include, but it makes this feel like a very robust package. The only thing that's really missing is multiplayer, as that was a huge component of gaming on the NES. A sequel will be out soon in Japan, so go out and buy a bunch of copies of Retro Game Challenge so we can play new 16-bit games next."
