Spider-Man 3

THE BAD:
- Awful annoying 2D side scrolling
- Exploring New York is boring with the 2D crap
- Stupid missions
- A messed up control system
- Unfair difficulty at times
- Boring after the first 10 minutes
- Cutscenes are pathetic
- Bad audio

SUMMARY:
Now this is disgusting. Awful. I hate this game so much I could toss it into a camp fire and stomp on it with Links Iron Boots. Spider Man 3 for the DS is a mistake. The developers need to dring it back and remake it.

GRAPHICS

Nice 3D backgrounds, its the up front I hate.

Spider Man 3 isn't that all bad graphical wise. Some of the New York city backgrounds are nice and 3D and realistic, however it is ruined up closer. The graphics are blurry and some of the textures are are a bit messy. Spider Man 3 can pass in graphics, its just a bit too blurry up close. Backgrounds = good, closer visuals = suckish.

GAMEPLAY

Spider Man 3 has terrible touch screen control.

Now this game slipped off the bad gameplay tree and whacked every branch on the way down. Terrible. Just terrible. Spider Man 3 is basically a 2D side scrolling beat'em up, however to do the BEATING UP you need to use the touch screen. Ugggh, and its used terribly. You have to constantly swipe across the screen to punch and move in different ways to pull off different attacks. Sounds fun, eh? It's not. Some of the moves touch screen controls are so specific that you end up doing the wrong thing or doing one move unexpectedly. Also baddies seem to take forever to die and take forever to fall once you throw them up in the air, and they stay up there for like 2 seconds! 2 seconds?!? WE DON'T HAVE TIME! COME DOWN! One thing that REALLY ruins the fun is the stupid crime meter. Basically, if you do not defeat all the baddies on the Crime Watch before the meter reaches full, you get game over. Some baddies include you going back, or saving stupid people on rooftops. Oh, and one thing about the rooftops bit. Say if Spidey was real, he would take the guy on the roof, and return him safely to the ground, right? Not in this. You HAVE to take him to a set location, and some of these involve you going higher! WTF?!? Makes no sense! SM3 screws up and fails big time because of its stupid limitations, awful controls and stupid missions.

STORY

No! Send bad cutscene away! I'm scared!

Spider Man 3 basically follows the same story as the film however with a little twist as some new criminals are involved and there are many missions not in the film. One terrible thing about this is the story is presented poorly in rubbish, flat slideshow-ish cutscenes (above). This also mixes with bad voice acting thats really quiet and very ahrd to understand WTF the guys are saying. Its like having Peter Parker shove a load of photos in front of you. Balls.

I really don't need to make a BAD part, you know already how much I hate this load of trash

OVERALL
Teriibly done. Total garbage. BALLS! Spider Man 3 for the DS falls flat on its stupid face with poor controls, bad cutscnenes and just boring repetitive gameplay. In a nutshell, this game sucks.


I dread to look at this games box...
