SUMMARY:
This is the first ever game where Peach is in charge. No longer is Mario the hero in this game but it shall be Peach who saves the day for everyone. When I first saw Super Princess Peach in stores I was not only surprised but confused. Peach? An actually game where she runs the show? I wanted my questions answered so I went ahead and bought this game, and it turned out being surprisingly good.

The story starts out with Bowser finding out about a magical new island by the name of Vibe Island. He learns of its great powers and creates a scepter to finally capture his longtime fellow rival, Mario. Bowser not only succeeds with his plans but he manages to capture Luigi and a Toad! While all of this chaos is going on Peach returns to the castle to find fellow Toads screaming about and running around the whole place. Finally the news is broken to her that Mario and Luigi have been captured! She decides that finally for once in her life its her time to save Mario maybe to repay him for all that he's done for her. But she won't be going alone, along with Peach is a talking and rather useful umbrella by the name of Perry, who informs her that they must both travel to Vibe Island where there true adventure starts. Not only was the game so far going good, the new umbrella thing that would be joining Peach on her adventure made it even better. It not only helped Peach but it made the game play much better because even though while fighting off monsters was hard the umbrella helped a lot with keeping the game less complicated and real. I also loved that Peach could smack things with her umbrella, it made me see a different side to this usually innocent but popular character of the Mario games, she could truly fight!

Peach will have to under go many different situations while traveling on her quest through a total of eight worlds, such as; fighting goombas, swimming across rivers, climbing up blocks, traveling down tunnels, escaping from vicious piranha plants, and worst of all fighting off not only Bowser but his fellow minions.

The whole concept of worlds immediately made me start thinking of the other Mario games, I guess a game of the Mario series can't be totally different then them all. While moving on through the worlds, I loved that each one had different monsters but they also had different music. The game play continued to make me wanna keep playing and just get closer to the end, beating Bowser. The most appealing world of them all was probably the forest world, the music was just right in making the game more creepy, but the monsters also showed me that they truly belonged to the game and that world.

Each of these eight worlds have a main boss to them, these bosses have been created by Bowser and his scepter to hopefully stop any intruders that try and save Mario and Luigi. Peach will use her umbrella to fight off monsters that get in her way. But the umbrella isn't the only thing that can help her because Peach discovers she has new four vibe powers.

These four vibe power are activated through her moods such as:

-When she gets mad, her body will catch fire as she's stomping around in a horrible rage. This power is good for when Peach needs to burn through the ground to get below.

-If Peach becomes gloomy she will cry making her run very fast. This power is used when Peach needs to make it across bridges fast.

-When Peach is calm she will settle down and begin to restore her life meter. This power is good for when Peach is close to dieing and needs more life.

-If Peach becomes joyous she will begin spinning in the air forming a cyclone. This power is used when Peach needs to blow something apart that is ether on the ground or in the air.

The vibe powers made the game so much better and more unique and it felt like I was playing a totally new type of game genre. But I was eventually brought back to the real world because of this game's music, it was so close in similarity to the real games with Mario as the hero.

The four moods that have vibe powers are also known as; Rage, Gloom, Joy, and Calm. Not only will they merely help Peach fight off her foes these powers will also help her unlock secrets to puzzles, run across falling bridges, burn through the ground to get below, restore her own life, and to get her even closer to the final battle.

Even though Super Princess Peach is mainly made up by it's mood feature but it also has many other things that have helped to making the game more successful and fun. For example, it's music, it's rather similar to the type of music that's in the other Mario Series of games but it helps to keep you moving along fighting the monsters and rescuing toads. Personally to me, I think the music can be just a little better but for what they have it's really good. It made me more excited when moving to different worlds, each world had a some-what different type of music style to it that, just keep getting better as I moved on closer to beating the game.
