Background:
Based on the anime, Yakitate!! Japan, about Azuma Kazuma, a young baker trying to make "Ja-Pan", a staple Japanese bread. There is a story mode, a battle mode, and Wi-Fi connectivity. You play through the game on a game board, moving around it gathering ingredients to make different breads and earn "Pan Points". You can set up shop in the game spaces, and have battles to overthrow another player's store and claim their space. It is fairly simple to catch onto the eclectic and enjoyably confusing gameplay, but it's not so simple that you get bored with it.

Gameplay:
It plays like a board game, with battles and various surprises thrown in.
