GBA  Destruction derby RPG? 4.2

THE GOOD:
-You customize cars of destruction and go around blowing up stuff.

THE BAD:
-The only thing you do is customize cars of destruction and go around blowing up stuff.

SUMMARY:
Alright. I personally love this game.

Great graphics, great sound, etc. The more enemies you destroy in your "Gun Vehicle," the more experience points, just like an RPG and you level up. Fighting bosses is fun and upgrading your garage is a plus, along with being able to build tons of different cars and outifit them with crazy powerful weapons.

However, the game is relatively short. I beat this game in two days. No RPG should ever be that short. You can also take driver's license tests for different rankings, and I got the highest ranking on my second try. You will also reach Lvl. 99 in an incredibly short amount of time and will spend most of your time collecting cargo to upgrade your garage. Towards the end, you will gain levels exponentially and the bosses will just die in the blink of an eye. It took me less than 10s to defeat the last boss's final form.

Sum Up: Really easy; Ridiculously fun! Overall, despite the bashing I gave it, I still love this game and the thought of building tons of different cars will keep you playing this game long after you've beaten it. I highly recommend this for any fans of Vigilante 8 and RPGs.

This is a real and fair Car Battler Joe review.
Just to let you know I have this game, and I will try to be fair although some people may disagree. If I list choices I will pick one of the chioces by putting stars around it like this, *short*. Thank you!

Well what can I say, its probably 20 dollars because its so short. To real gamers, you can beat this game in 1 day. But to regular gamers you will beat this game in 3-5 days. Well at least you will finish the main story. You can still play jobs, get new car parts, and battle cars while driving.

A)I bout mine at GameSpot, but it was also the last copy. Search for it on google or Ebay will be your best way to purchase this game.
Q) Why did this game get good reviews-when your saying its not good?
A)I'm not saying this is a bad game. This game is almost perfect, EXCEPT, too short and Natsume needs to EXPAND this game.

A)It's very possible, in fact it would probably be one of the best games, because, they would expand it. Therefore, it would be a big hit. :-)

Fun Factor: 9/10
If this game was a lot longer and the towns bigger, this one be one of the best games on GBA! Some villages have one building in it, thats ridiculous! But the battles are great, and I love firing the machine gun, its really fun. Face-off missions would be better if it was harder. This game is WAY to easy like I have said before.

Graphics: 8/10
These are very good graphics for the GBA system. They can be better, but like lots of GBA games, they can get A LOT worse. I like this cartoon styled graphics the best. The only 2 things that don't give it a perfect 10 are, the graphics could be better, and the shadows beneath the people flash and that gets really annoying. why cant they just stay solid black? They have to flash...annoying.

Sound: 8/10
The music and sound effects in CBJ are great. I like the town music, and battle music. It's a sort of fun battle music that gets you pumped for battle. The sound effects are cool enough to match the sound of the weapon. bombs sound like bombs, machine guns sound like machine guns, and lasers sound like...lasers. Overall CBJ has a nice sountrack and well-made sound effects.

Gameplay: 8.5/10
The gameplay for CBJ well deserves a 8.5 because its so fast paced and fun. Your car has GREAT control, except for sometimes you can slide around. If you had to walk it still would be fun. But in CBJ you have the option if you want to run or not; by pressing the 'B' button. You run really really fast, it's awsome!

Re-play Value: 5/10
The re-play for this game is average. I'm saying when you 'beat the whole game' you won't want to replay play it most likely. But that goes for lots of games, especially long games. If you have ever had the feeling where you just beat a real hard long game, then you don't want to play it again because it was to hard and took to long. Just start one 'data file' and play from there. Get every car part, item, beat every mission and beat the story till the end. THEN your finished!

Overall Rating: 8/10
Car Battler Joe gets a well balanced '8' for positively, a great game.

THE GOOD:
Tons of jobs to keep you busy, customizable cars, many towns to visit, and a fun battle system.

THE BAD:
Way too short.

SUMMARY:
This game is cross between car battling and an RPG. You play as Joe Todoroki, a 16 year old car battler looking for his dad. You start off doing jobs for people, like finding lost items, fighting other car battlers, delivering items, and a lot more. Later, you can enter a tournament to win a new car, plus tons of prize money. When you get on the road, you can blast the other cars with your machine gun, laser beam, flamethrower, buzzsaw, or whatever else you equip you car with! You can also give computer cards to your little robot friend, Pal, to give your car special overdrive abilities. The game's pretty short, but after you beat it, there's still tons of stuff to do. I recommend this game to everybody that has a GBA.

THE GOOD:
fun better then u think plus fabboo graphics and lengthy game

THE BAD:
hmm sometimes u have no idea where to go and some characters just piss you off also difficult first of all to change car parts etc etc

SUMMARY:
good looking game where u play as a fag called jeo who goes around with his car and r2d2 kinda robot helping out villagers and just fighting and delivering parcels for money. Good lengthy game but frsutrating at the most annoying times. enjoy:P
