THE GOOD:
Great gameplay, beautiful GBA graphics, job system, races, and many features that have been ported directly from FFT.

THE BAD:
Storyline is very childish and shallow, never delving deep enough to satisfy fans of the original.
The Judge System can sometimes get ridiculous.
Graphics, as wonderful as they are, don a very bright, colorful pallette, giving the game no "dark side".
Music is lacking.

SUMMARY:
Finally-- a game that can be pit against its predecessor, the overlooked, underrated Final Fantasy Tactics, a true classic in the RPG/strategy world. Many of the same features have remained, and some even altered for the better, such as the job system. This system works much like that of FFT, in that you are able to customize your party with units of different jobs/classes. Each job has its own unique stat growth and special abilities, including support and reaction abilities to really add a sense of...

THE GOOD:
An other Tactics game! The first GBA FF game! The graphics are great, for a GBA game, and the play control is awesome. It plays kind of like Advance Wars!

THE BAD:
The only thing I can see is that the World Laws can get hard! They make it fun, though..

SUMMARY:
This game is almost a must for GBA gamers, and a must for FF fans, and anyone who liked Advance Wars, ZOE: The fist of Mars, or Dungeon Dice Monsters, all for the GBA. Fans of the origanal may be somewhat dissapointed, but I"m not sure why! The games graphics are really well done, and the battle system is awesome! Anyone who likes GBA music will love this game as well, as it has an awesome soundtrack! If you like games that are long, how does 300+ hours sound? This game is filled to the brim with side-quests and story. I think this is one of the best GBA games released so far!

THE GOOD:
-Well, I've heard there were 300+ side quests or things to do? Now, that is ultra cool!
-There are also, as I've heard, 40+ classes in the game. Now, what can you say to that.

THE BAD:
-It's not coming to the US until 9/8/03 (somewhere around there)

SUMMARY:
The main characters, are a trio-Marche, Mewt and Rizt.
As I've heard, this game doesn't run completely on a storyline. Just barely...
Also, this game begins with a snowball fight that introduces the characters and may give you a sample of future combat in the game.

CHARACTERS:

-Marche Radiuju, a yellow haired boy that looks a bit like Ramza. >.<(no other information avaliable)
-Mewt Randel, is to be found clutching his Teddy Bear and is very unsocialable. He's the boy (that looks slightly somewhat like a girl. oO;) that has the brown 'horns' on either side of his head and holds the teddy bear with Xs for eyes. x_X
-Ritz, a...

Well well it is the moment you have all been waiting for. Your friendly neighborhood RPG Master has arrived to give you his opinion on the game that is FFTA. Well here it is...

I first start off with a introduction to the series that is Final Fantasy Tactics. In 1998 gamers around the world were introduced to a truely unique game of the elite Final Fantasy series. Fresh off the debut of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics surprizingly did not get a lot of exposure. This is because there were not a lot of RPG fans (let alone Strategic RPG ones). And Final Fantasy VII did not get a lot of exposure when it came out. Those of you who are old enough to remember that day September 7th 1997 will know only hardcore (geeky) RPG gamers got FF7 and it was us who told the world how great it was, thus having millions of newbie gamers flocking to it making it a greatest hit game. So when FFT made it's arrival with little hype (only because the graphics were poor) it did not make a...

THE GOOD:
Final Fantasy Tactics, but unique and not a port. Tons of new character classes, and nice graphics for a GBA game. Uses Final Fantasy XI's ability learning system.

THE BAD:
No US release date yet! Couldn't hurt to bring Ramza back as an optional enemy...

SUMMARY:
Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1 (PSX) was too easy after you got T.G. Cid. This game can be beat without cheating in any way. It's a matter of tactical strategy and following the rules set by the judges. Learning how to change your strategy and being flexible is the key to victory. The tons of job classes and many species makes the game only more desirable and allow more ways to plan an attack.

Biggest downside is that it has no release date for a US release. I love these kind of games, Final Fantasy Tactics was a breeze even without special characters (with the exception of Ramza). Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis was a breeze too, it's just a matter...

THE GOOD:
-300 Missions
-Long game.
-Lots of Weapons
-Lots of Clan Members
-Lots of Classes and Jobs
-Different Battle Areas

THE BAD:
Not much is bad about this game.

About the only thing is that the battles get repetitive. But evenetually you will be able to kill a whole enemy clan before they get a chance to even move if you play it right.

SUMMARY:
This game is amazing. I never played Final Fantasy in my life before and then my neighbor bought this game and said he liked it so i went out and bought it. It is amazing.

The game can be played for ages because after the story missions there are plenty of extra missions to do. Then after the extra missions you can do certain missions again and you can increase your characters levels and you can even increase the levels of certain equipment. It takes a while to increase the equipment but thats the fun of it. You can play this game forever and not get...

THE GOOD:
Gameplay, story, replay value, music.

THE BAD:
laws, camera (stays in only one position)

SUMMARY:
Alright the GBA version of Final Fantasy Tactics has come. It's not really remake of the PSX tactics since it has a new story line and a few new other features to it like the laws which can get on your nerves a few times but there are ways to cancel them out which you can find out when you get the game or rent it. Though I suggest buying it since it worth the money.

For those RPG gamers who love story this one is pretty descent and is worthy of being called a final fantasy by my eyes.

The music is great and so is the gameplay as I have said before. For the people who like long games this is the one for you.

So believe me when I say buy this game before it runs out which I doubt it will but still try and get it because it really is a great super game and it's like..... BOOYA!

Well, Square-Enix got me. I was worried about the storyline and how badly they could have messed up the gameplay, but they fixed just about all of my worries.
Let's first get the bad out of they way. The job system is nearly perfect, but for one flaw: Multiple races and no recruiting. The idea is great at first- each race has several unique jobs. If they had one of the two- no character recruiting OR races limited to certain jobs- I'd be just fine. However, since you only get new characters randomly, you don't have a chance to make a dream-team ala FFT for the PS1. (Say, an all-archer team) Why? Because each race is missing a few major jobs, and getting all of the right race early enough to be able to level them up sufficiently is pure luck.
Then we have the story, but seriously folks, it just isn't as bad as it's made out to be. It has been called "dumbed down" and "kid stuff," but, while it isn't half of the masterpiece story that was FFT, it is okay. In fact, the...

THE GOOD:
Turn based strategy game which is easy to learn
Even if you've never played a FF game you can enjoy this
Takes a long time to complete, even if you're a master at this game
Plenty of things to do

THE BAD:
Apparently has fewer classes than other Final Fantasy games

SUMMARY:
Before this game I'd never played a Final Fantasy game ever, the series had never appealed to me in any way, shape or form. My brother bought this game and eventually I picked it up and started to play it. I eventually completed everything and surprised myself at how much I'd enjoyed a Final Fantasy game.

This game is a turn-based strategy game. Moves are made in order as opposed to real time where everything is happening at once. So this game requires you to think ahead at where the enemy might move and try and anticipate what each person might do. I never did this at the start and it was only quite a way into the game did I start to get a hold of...

THE GOOD:
- Great Graphics for a GBA game
- It's a very long game, keep you occupied for months!
- I'm not a Final Fantasy fan by any means, but I still think this game is great!
- More characters, weapons, items and missions than you could dream of.

THE BAD:
- Not that good a storyline I feel. 'The world has changed! OMG!', but the game is good anyway.
- Laws can get really, REALLY, annoying.

SUMMARY:
I am by no means a fan of Final Fantasy, but I saw this game in the shop and thought, Well, I've heard good things about this game... It looks pretty good.. and most importantly, I have the cash. So I took a risk and bought it. A risk well taken! You see, from the moment I put the game in, I knew this would be good.

The opening level is something like a snowball fight, and at this point I was wondering what I had gotten myself into. But the game...
