THE GOOD: -Well, I've heard there were 300+ side quests or things to do? Now, that is ultra cool! -There are also, as I've heard, 40+ classes in the game. Now, what can you say to that.
THE BAD: -It's not coming to the US until 9/8/03 (somewhere around there)
SUMMARY: The main characters, are a trio-Marche, Mewt and Rizt. As I've heard, this game doesn't run completely on a storyline. Just barely... Also, this game begins with a snowball fight that introduces the characters and may give you a sample of future combat in the game.
CHARACTERS:
-Marche Radiuju, a yellow haired boy that looks a bit like Ramza. >.<(no other information avaliable) -Mewt Randel, is to be found clutching his Teddy Bear and is very unsocialable. He's the boy (that looks slightly somewhat like a girl. oO;) that has the brown 'horns' on either side of his head and holds the teddy bear with Xs for eyes. x_X -Ritz, a...
THE GOOD: Final Fantasy Tactics, but unique and not a port. Tons of new character classes, and nice graphics for a GBA game. Uses Final Fantasy XI's ability learning system.
THE BAD: No US release date yet! Couldn't hurt to bring Ramza back as an optional enemy...
SUMMARY: Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1 (PSX) was too easy after you got T.G. Cid. This game can be beat without cheating in any way. It's a matter of tactical strategy and following the rules set by the judges. Learning how to change your strategy and being flexible is the key to victory. The tons of job classes and many species makes the game only more desirable and allow more ways to plan an attack.
Biggest downside is that it has no release date for a US release. I love these kind of games, Final Fantasy Tactics was a breeze even without special characters (with the exception of Ramza). Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis was a breeze too, it's just a matter...
THE GOOD: -the first plotline that does NOT involve a cheesy romance since the old SNES games. -intuitive controls -new & unique Law-based battle system -interesting story with hard-to-predict plot twists (hard for YOU, not me) -the game doesn't end after killing the final boss; instead, you get to earn hidden characters -NO ANNOYING-AS-ALL-HELL RANDOM BATTLES!
THE BAD: -no wandering around in the Overworld or towns -limited usage of done-to-death cliches & plot devices -some bosses are exempt from following the Battle Laws, while you never get the chance to earn such an immunity privilege -some hidden characters are limited in their usefulness
SUMMARY: I don't particularly like RPGs, or the direction the Final Fantasy series is taking, but this is the first one I've ever gotten into since the Mario RPG trilogy (Mario RPG, Paper, and Superstar Saga), and it more than does...
THE GOOD: I love this game to bits, it has the best graphics in a Gameboy Advance game out so far, the levels are ver detailed, and the range of characters are awesome!
THE BAD: There isn't anything bad about this game!
Well, in one of the levels, you can't pick up a power cell, and I alway's need it
But there isn't much that could flaw this game, it is too good!
SUMMARY: I totally love this game, I reccomend that you get it now!
Overall a great game that will get you hooked even after the game is over so you can get secret characters. This is a great game to have for long trips like vacations or summer trips. Oh, also this is a game you won't regret to get because it can have 300 hours of gameplay just to get the last secret character and build up those secret items and getting them! So finally I give this game a 5.9!
THE GOOD: Gameplay, Job Class system, ability system, graphics, story, battles, and missions.
THE BAD: Camera Angles and Nu Mu's
SUMMARY: This is a great game to own, if you enjoyed the classic Final Fantasy Tactics for the Playstation. This is just an advanced version of that with some twist. The story was really great, you onced lived in a regular world until you and your family and friends come to a new world of magic and battling. You get to join a clan and become the leader to move on throughout the game. You gain several different job classes out of the 5 different races. The ability system was a little better then the Job points, you got to learned them from equiping different weapons and peices of equipment to learn new skills for different job classes. The graphics were pretty..:D I liked em a little better than Tactics Ogre. The bad thing about this game was the fact that you could not switch your camera angles, like in the first...
THE GOOD: -300 Missions -Long game. -Lots of Weapons -Lots of Clan Members -Lots of Classes and Jobs -Different Battle Areas
THE BAD: Not much is bad about this game.
About the only thing is that the battles get repetitive. But evenetually you will be able to kill a whole enemy clan before they get a chance to even move if you play it right.
SUMMARY: This game is amazing. I never played Final Fantasy in my life before and then my neighbor bought this game and said he liked it so i went out and bought it. It is amazing.
The game can be played for ages because after the story missions there are plenty of extra missions to do. Then after the extra missions you can do certain missions again and you can increase your characters levels and you can even increase the levels of certain equipment. It takes a while to increase the equipment but thats the fun of it. You can play this game forever and not get...
THE GOOD: every thing but the speed of battle is very very very extremely good
THE BAD: the speed of battle gets to be verrrrrry sllllllooooowwwww atttttt tiiiiimmmmmessssss
SUMMARY: A very good game. but slow at times. otherwise i absolutely love the TBS and the way it is to get some cool stuff. this is a very good game for newbs and veterans alike for this is one of the best installments to the FinalFantasy series and will keep you coming back for more of the story, just to see how it will turn out. the music is great, the graphics are great, the addictiveness is great, and it is soooooooo much more customizable than most of the Strategy games out there, and there are nearly unlimited missions! but don't get used to the "easyness" it will get alot harder, and i say this from experience, and remeber this, Use status effecting abilities and items and you will do good.
THE GOOD: The Characters Bangaa! Moogles! Job Classes TONS of abilities! Great Music Fun Gameplay Other non-human races! (WOOHOO!) GRAPHICS ARE WONDERFUL!
THE BAD: Not being able to walk around LAWS. ARG. If you don't save before a fight, and you die.... *gulp* GAME OVER....
SUMMARY: This game is a really fun to play game. (If you don't like games where you can't walk, then I advise you not to play.) This game is focused on missions, and you'll be fighting most of the time. In this game you get your very own clan, a group of members of all different races. You can recruit new members by completing missions, and shape your clan into your very own personal group of characters. By learning new abilities, your characters can take on whole new job classes that depend on their race, as well as have their own special abilities (such as healing, magic, and expert fighting skills!). There are COUNTLESS...
You know how Final Fantasy has a reputation for good RPGs? I didn't know that until recently, when I was looking for a new GBA game. I knew it had more than ten games but I hadn't looked into them. I was looking for strategy games and I found Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. As soon as I pushed the tiny cartridge into my GBA I knew how amazing it was.
Story: 7/10
If you were going to buy this for the story, I'm terribly sorry. It's another menial RPG plot, you know the kind where it's like ''Oh my goodness! The world changed, so now I have to go fight everyone!'' That sort of thing. I haven't gotten very far in the story, but the few twists and turns have made it somewhat interesting.
Graphics: 10/10
Because of my respect for the ratings system here at GameFAQs, I will not rate it with an 11. I would like to, though. This games graphics will make your jaw drop. Aside from a few things, like the inability for the sprites to face diagonally,...
THE BAD: laws, camera (stays in only one position)
SUMMARY: Alright the GBA version of Final Fantasy Tactics has come. It's not really remake of the PSX tactics since it has a new story line and a few new other features to it like the laws which can get on your nerves a few times but there are ways to cancel them out which you can find out when you get the game or rent it. Though I suggest buying it since it worth the money.
For those RPG gamers who love story this one is pretty descent and is worthy of being called a final fantasy by my eyes.
The music is great and so is the gameplay as I have said before. For the people who like long games this is the one for you.
So believe me when I say buy this game before it runs out which I doubt it will but still try and get it because it really is a great super game and it's like..... BOOYA!
