THE GOOD:
This game offers a Bros. Attack which most of the other Mario games do not have. It allows a good story line, and new region that has neever been seen before and a good graphic taste along with it. Given the ability to dodge attacks based on timing was briliant. The moves used were cool and effective, and even though the item were the same they still made a comback for new items (such a Syrup and Nuts). One of the best Mario and Luigi games ever made, given it's strong point rather than it's horrible points which there are very few of. Also, the monster in game are quite good in animation and graphics. Moves they use are quite cool as well. Some of the puzzles you need to solve are mind twisting but none-the-less you can pass them with a little hard thinking. The partnership with Bowser was also new and cool. This game also brings back old characters which is also good. The ability to play the old Mario game is also a very good addition to the games best qualities.

THE BAD:
Not many bad things I can talk about, although the graphics could have been improved. I personally Hate the bosses due to annoyance of not being able to beat them, but still it's okay.

SUMMARY:
I have enjoyed this game to the max with it's mind twisting tricks and puzzles. Mini games and Side-Quests are are very good.

Graphics: Good, yet could use some improvements of the battle background, along side with the field background. But none-the-less a good set of graphics.

Story Line: Very good. Introducing a new land to explore and a new evil madman to fight was a good addition. New abilitys gained through playing each step of the story was good.

Battle Scenes: Quite good except for background and items. Items were the same as always and the background looked "Too" cartoonish. Weapons, the same as always but still good. The Bros. attacks are good and creative. Hated some of the bosses due to annoyance of not being able to beat them but still, a challenge is good once in a while.

Characters: Mario and Luigi is a must. The two together make a very good game. Peach was a good addition but it would have been better if she had been able to fight and not just sit there like a lump. Bowser made an ally, now I've seen everrything. Queen Bean was a suprise though.

Abilitys & Moves: The Bros attack really brings our the power house relationship between Mario and Luigi. Fire Bros. is a good ability that allow Mario to utilize his Fire Power making fire balls for Luigi to hit at the enemy. Thunder Bros. shows how flexible Luigi is, by Jumping into many positions. My Fav.would have to be KnockBack Bros. though. Mainly because of the fact Luigi looks like he's playing Golf while hitting Mario into the enemy with his hammer.

How this game Impacted My Life: It showed me that not all Mario games are not all based on just Mario saving the Princess. It showed me how detailed Nintendoput into Mario and his companions.

Why The Should Make a Re-Make: This game was fun and entertaining. It should be made into a re0make because of the exciting gameplay and wonderfull battle commands.

Why should you Play This Game: If you like battle scenes that are very cartoonish and love the Mario Brothers then you HAVE to play this game. The Music is funny (Or So I hear) and the storyline is funny and cute.

Over all I give it a 4 out of 5. One of the truly best games that Nintendo has ever made for GBA, and possibly a re-make for the DS would be in order if they pumped up the graphics, and storyline points. I recomend this game to anyone who really like dual fighting, and loves nintendo famous Mario Brothers. Also to people who wanted a change of scenery from the old Mushroom Kingdom.

THE GOOD:
Excellent Humour
Exploration
Battle-system
Large
Control System

THE BAD:
Some sections require super-human reflexes
Sound

SUMMARY:
The GBA finally gets hold of a Mario RPG, but can it hold it's own against the legions of other RPGs on the GBA?

Graphically the game is about average. Nothing wrong, but nothing particularly outstanding either. The sounds are horrible though. The sound effects are OK, but the tunes really get to you.

Now the gameplay. You play as both Mario and Luigi, with a bizarre system that lets you control both at the same time. Generally one follows the other, but actions are assigned to a button for each one. The system works, with the brothers even teaming up.

The battle system is not your traditional RPG fare either. After selecting your move you must follow the on-screen commands to pull off your moves perfectly. Equally, you must actively dodge enemy attacks. Great, but in later battles enemy attacks can come too quickly to dodge without knowing when to dodge beforehand.

One last thing of worthy note is the humour. The game is packed with it and it's all quality stuff. Parts will have you laughing your head off (not literally).

Overall a worthy addition. Some RPG enthusiasts might complain that there isn't 500 attack moves, but it is an interesting and very playable alternate RPG.

THE GOOD:
- You can have equipment.
- You do over 10 damage unlike the other Mario RPG's.
- It isn't the same 'Save Peach from Bowser' thing.
- Over 40 bosses.
- The colorful backgrounds and good music.
- A large game that lasts 30 hours.
- You have Luigi!
- So much humor.
- Interactive battling. Such as dodging attacks.

THE BAD:
- They diss on Luigi so much.

SUMMARY:
This is the best Mario game in the series. The game is almost to a perfect 5 but I don't think anything id perfect. If you love Mario games this is the one. I totally recommend it for Luigi, the sounds they make, the mustache stat, and so much more. I hope they come out with a sequel and it better not be the same concept of defeating Bowser. I loved this game and thus it is very cheap now.

Mario & Luigi: Superstarsaga is one hell of a game. While not being a direct sequel to the Squaresoft developed Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven stars, it can be looked at as the unofficial one.

The game starts off with Toad (at least A Toad) comes rushing into Mario`s house. Mario is taking a shower and Toad gets to spot him without clothes. This gives Toad a strange red color in his face and I don`t think I want to know the reason if there is one.. Toad tells Mario to come with him to the castle, so Mario and his green brother takes a trip to visit Princess Toadstool. Now, you get too see the Princess getting a visit, not by Mario, but by Cackletta, a witch from the Bean Kingdom. Cackletta appearenly steals Toadstool`s voice and replaces it with explosives. This is pretty dramatic as now, our lovely girl can`t talk without making lots of noise. This is the reason for Mario and Luigi to start their adventure this time and it will be full of dangers and surprises!

The gameplay in Superstarsaga is brilliant. You walk around with Mario And Lugi at the same time. To do actions with Mario you use the A button, with Luigi you use the B button. There are lots of abilities to learn, like spin-flying, making flame come out of your glove, high-jumps etc. The fighting system is pretty similar to the one in Paper Mario on the Nintendo 64, if not a little more advanced. When fighting enemies you choose between the different attacks available like Hammer-Attack, Jump-Attack and so on. If you`re good at timing you will manage well, as hitting the A button at a certain time will make you do more damage to your foes. You can also use timing to avoid the foes` attacks. A very nice feature in the fighting system is Bros. Attacks. These will drain Fower-Points each time they`re used. There are different levels of these attacks and the hardest ones will require you to be really quick with your fingers. There are even some hidden features in these attacks who you`ll have to find out how to get all by yourself. Luckily, there are no random battles, as you see all the enemies before they attack.

When I first tried this game, I thought it looked really bad for some reason; The characters` eyes are black and nothing looks too impressive at the start of the game. If you get this feeling too, I can assure you that you will stop to think so after plying for a hour or so. The game is very detailed and has some great animations at different times. The game does also contain some kind of in-game speech, or mumbling, as I would rather call it. The music is also great as in any other Mario game.

To complete the main quest, I assume you will use 20-30 hours, depending on how often you get stuck since there are lots of quests who require you to use your brain a little. Nothing is too hard, but neither too easy. There are also a few side-quests like collecting beans to blend coffee with or finding creatures for a town-citizen. You will get tired of the game when you`ve beaten the final boss, but you will most likely come back to this game for another go as this is one of the few games by Nintendo on GBA who can be called a real classic.

To put everything straight, this is one of the best offerings the Gameboy Advance has to give; A great story, lots of humor, terrific good fighting system and on the top of it, it`s a game who will last a long time. Superstarsaga alone is a good enough reason to buy a Gameboy Advance or eventually a Nintendo DS, as it plays all GBA games. Superstarsaga contains no multiplayer or Gamecube link-up, but the Mario Bros. Game found on any Super Mario Advance game is included. Go buy Superstarsaga at once!

THE GOOD:
Graphics, were good, Sound was good, and it has great gameplay.

THE BAD:
Nothing bad but, the battle system can be better.

SUMMARY:
Graphics 9/10 These are good graphics for a GBA game. They're nice and clear.

Story 8/10 The story is fine. Instead of the Princess getting kidnapped she gets a voice that makes things break.

Battle System 7/10 Its good when you first try it but, it gets repititive because, you do the same moves and attacks most of the time. Also there's something called Bros. attacks which are hard to pull off.

Sound 10/10 The sound is great. You can hear it nice and perfect.

Gameplay 8/10 This is fun to play. You can dodge attacks enemies make. I don't know what else to say.

Overall 9/10 I enjoyed playing this game. The battle system wasn't the best though. That was the reason why I didn't give this game a perfect five. I recommend you buy this game though.

THE GOOD:
It is fully detailed... sooo funny... from battles to the story telling... haha... it's simply amazing!

THE BAD:
It's kind of... short? I wanted more... and more... but it ended soo fast... well... 40 hours... I wanted more...

SUMMARY:
I highly recommend this game! The story is so funny... it keeps you laughing with all the things there happen... nonsense all the time... haha... but it really is worth the playing. You really don't know who the villian is until you play and play... and play... and watch things happen... unexpected most of the time... from Luigi dressing like Peach fooling Bowletta (Crackleta in Bowser's body)... to Mario/Luigi Burning/Shocking each other... haha...

The brother techniques are awesome and the timing required to be performed keep you on the action all the time... and watch what happens if you miss the correct time... haha.. other detail I like. If you have the oportunity of playing this game, do it!

THE GOOD:
I really liked the dual/one player action, the use of both Mario and Luigi (using the A and B button), The game play, a pretty good story, the graphics are pretty nice, and the battle system is pretty challengeing.

THE BAD:
Mario gets all the Fame, caling Luigi Mr. Green......game was too easy.

SUMMARY:
Well this game looks to be another Instalment of a rip off Mario RPG. But this time you only control Mario and Luigi, helping to look for Princess's voice. They fight through countless levels tring to get her voice back and save Bean Bean World from utter destruction. There were many of good things to this game. This one of the best games that I played up to date...The Two player Action, but you control both players, is great. Working out a good system to defeat your enemies always helps in battle. But there werent to many of the bad things..I mean I see Mario is popular, but why did they bring down Luigi alot? I mean Luigi is better than Mario...He gets to use Lightning instead of fire..

THE GOOD:
Great story and plot, good battle command and good graphics. There's a lot of enemies and bosses too.

THE BAD:
Not enough towns, and the game is a little too short.

SUMMARY:
This game is a great Mario game. This is the third of the Mario RPG series, and have good story, changes from the ordinary " Bowser kidnaps Peach " and the battle command is good.In the game, there's a huge lot of enemies and bosses for a Mario Games, especially because it's short. The game will dure about 15 hours, filled with puzzles, battles and many secrets....

The game doesn't have enough towns, there's only two towns, plus, you finish the game with one of those towns destroyed. There's not not enough items too, a few items only, and some equipement pieces. There's still more than Paper Mario, but not like Super Mario RPG. Thenew battle command, Bros Attack, will allow you to attack an enemy with the two brothers. You'll need to press the buttons in the rght order so the attack will be even more powerful.Master the tecniques to always have them powerful !

Overall, I would give this game a 9,3 out of 10.The bad points explain why I don't give it that high, but it's still a wonderful Mario and RPG game I would suggest all the Mario fans to buy.

GBA  An original and brilliant Mario-game, just what the GBA needed! 4.5

THE GOOD:
It looks beautiful
Very nice music
Two games in one
Lots of fun mini-games
Pleasing battle-system and cool boss-battles
Funny and interesting story-line
Well-designed
Lots of variation
Smart puzzles
Strong replay-value

THE BAD:
One of the two games is Mario Brothers (again!)
Not the longest and hardest RPG you'll play
Not as good as the N64's Paper Mario

SUMMARY:
Graphics: The game is very good-looking, with smooth, sharp and colorful visuals that are very varied too. The characters look good and the style is very fitting for the game. Overall, this is actually among the best-looking GBA games.

Sound: Mario and Luigi do in fact speak a bit in this game, a welcome surprise, and the sound-effects are great by GBA-standards. The music is variable, some tunes are excellent, some are meerly okay, but all in all, the impression of the sound and music is very positive.

Gameplay: Similar to Paper Mario, but inferior to that game in most ways. However, Paper Mario was incredibly good, and as a game of its own, Mario & Luigi is excellent fun, with a well-designed world, enjoyable sub-quests and mini-games, a good story (in a Mario-game, how often does that happen!), responsive control, a great battle-system and an experience that's just extremely fun and refreshing.

Lifespan: Not the longest RPG in the world, but it does take some time to finish it the first. Then there are sub-quests to do, and strong replay-value boasts the lifespan signifigantly.

Overall: Currently one of my top 5 GBA games, Mario & Luigi is the best Mario-game on the GBA yet, and an experience that all GBA-owners should try out. Go out and buy it now!

GBA  Mario and Luigi back in action! 4.9

Gameplay - 9.6 - Mario and Luigi is an unique turn-based RPG mixed with platform elements and timing. You control Mario and Luigi seperately using the A and B button respectfully (but they can switch places). Borrowing ideas from the previous RPGs, there is no random pop-up battles; instead the enemies are on the main screen. Also, you can perform "first strike" by attacking the enemy outside the battle arena to gain the advantage of striking damage first. On the downside, if an enemy attacks first, the character first touched will be unable to make a turn in the first battle. Battling is the main component in this game, but puzzles also play an important and challenging role. Further in the game, Mario and Luigi will gain new sole and combination attacks to keep the game interesting. However, the biggest factor in this game is the humour which include hilarious scenes and many 'in' jokes which refer to past Mario games. It's literally a laugh out loud game.

Controls - 9.5 - What intrigued me most was how the player could control Mario and Luigi seperately. At first the controls make seem clumsy, since to jump over gaps you need to tap A then B in a timing matter to succeed. The same applies in battle when avoiding real-time attacks. As the game continues it gets more complex when changing the plumbers' actions outside of battle, and it make take awhile to get used to alternating both plumbers and actions. Timing is very important when performing solo and Bros. Attacks, but Alphadream was kind enough to give Bros. Attacks 'levels' which makes timing easier if desired. Pretty soon jumping over gaps becomes second nature, although you'll goof up once in a while with the slightly confusing battle menu. Overall the controls are tight, smooth, and they work out very well in this game.

Graphics - 10 - Bright, cheerful, with slightly new version of Mario and Luigi. The graphics are beautiful and detailed, and very pleasing to the eye. The visuals range from a sunny open field to a dark and gloomy forest to a starry university. There are many visual effects that enhance the graphics, and much of the game's humour comes from the scenes itself. Alphadream did a wonderful job.

Sound - 9.7 - From Mario's humming to Fungitown's theme song, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga is packed with classical tunes and new songs to add to the collection. Also, it's a real treat to hear Mario and Luigi explain in Italian jibberish and the little voice clips in the game are a real delight.

Replay Value - 9.5 - Yes, this 20 hour game DOES have an ending... sadly.

Total: 9.8

Bottom Line: This is THE game for Mario lovers and RPG fanatics alike.
