THE GOOD: While, in my opinion, the entire game is absolutely great, some of the more mentionable things include Emerl's customization system, the story mode, and the fairly wide array of characters.
THE BAD: Only one of the minigames can be played without another person.
SUMMARY: Sonic Battle is the first fighting game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series since Sonic Fighters. In it, there is a Story Mode, a Battle Mode for both one and multiple players, a Challenge Mode, MiniGames, and even a Training mode.
There are three different types of battles in Sonic Battle. There's KO, Life, and Timed. In KO, the first to defeat a set amount of enemies is victorious. In Life, each character has a certain amount of lives, and when they run out, they lose. Last one standing wins. Timed battles are simililar to KO battles. THE BAD: - It's essentially Super Smash Brothers with boring, free-roaming arenas

The graphics are fair enough, using side-scrolling Sprites on a rotatable background (although that isn't as difficult to do as it sounds), but the arena scrolling effect, while impressive for the Game Boy Advance, can become disorienting until you get used to it.
The music is not too bad in some cases, but it is quite distorted. I've heard less distorted music in Super Mario World! It doesn't really fit the locations in which it plays either - for example, on Emerald Beach you have music which sounds like some F-ZERO...

The game includes over 7 stories a single battle mode, mini games and a 2 player where you whoop your friends with Emerl your custom Robot that you tune to perfection.
The story mode is good where you choose your character and unlock new stories. In the story mode the storyline is understandable for easier gameplay. Each time you complete a story you get another character's.
The battle mode lets you practice better than the actual practice mode. You choose you then the other fighters and you can get tag mode.
SUMMARY: This is one of the best GBA games I have ever played in a long time (its even more fun on the GB Player). You can choose to play as Sonic, Tails, Shadow, Rouge, Amy, Cream, Knuckles, and Emerl, and two more hidden characters. Emerl is a customizable robot Sonic finds on the beach. You can choose his attacks and even his colors! It has a very good story line that is all but repetitive.
In story mode, you battle characters and when battle cards of the character you fight like Rouge's jump or Sonic Kick.
The sprites are great and very sharp. Even though the GBA is a 2D system, Sonic Team put in their best effort to put in 3D surrounding which is really cool. There are no up and down sprites for hte characters though (unless you use a special attack upward or downward), but I don't see that as a bad thing....
THE GOOD: it is fun to make your own charecter and the battles and you are allways able to do something on it and you can earn to new charecters (and I personaly like how you can change emerls colors)you can even change emerls fighting pose and his eyes
THE BAD: it is to short they should have more charecters and they took out the chaos and they should make it so when you get a rare battle card you cant get the same one twice plus they should have more cheat codes
SUMMARY: it is over all a good game and is basicly about a robot who sonic finds on the beach and after they find out it can learn there attacks they are allways fighting to make him stronger but eggman whants him to so he can take over the world so train your emerl good so you can beat everyone and watch out for skill points those can get annoying
THE GOOD: The first sonic fighting game against each other.
THE BAD: repetitive fighting i.e. the same people over and over. when you fight a robot you have to defeat it, then it will challenge you again
SUMMARY: A good beat em up for the GBA. The original cast of sonic also including a robot named gizoid aka Emerl which when fed a chaos emerald becomes more intelligent. you collect cards after battles which you can give to emerl so he can do that attack. ie shadow heal or rouge kick. It has a long lifespan and the graphics couldnt be improved. If you like the other sonic games, Super smash brothers melee and beat em ups then you will agree with me that 25 pounds would be a decent perice for such a cool game. There are also mini games which you can unlock after completing certain chapters.

THE GOOD: Good story mode.The graphics are really nice.It has nice multiplayer.Fun to play.The sound is good and the music is ok.The challenge mode and mini games are a nice addition to the game.
THE BAD: Its kinda weird how 2D characters are in 3D levels.No chao but,that's not really a problem.You do the same thing most of the time.In my opinion it doesn't feel like a Sonic game.

THE GOOD: Hmmm... Just about, lets see, EVERY THING!!! Customizeing, Battling, Great arenas, and a really coool storyline. Whats not to like I ask you?
THE BAD: So what if there are glitches, its kicks butt anyway. Glitches? BIG DEAL!! If there is something bad about this game, Id like to know? So what if sometimes the projectiles dont work, thats what the other attacks are for. And those glitches rarely happen anyway, so there isnt a bad anyway, Bu the glitches DO hppen, and depemnding on your strategy, it could ruin you. If that happens, turn off the game.
SUMMARY: Yeah. This game is great and a must have for an RPG fan. Or a fan of Fighting games. Or a Sonic fan. This game features a customizeable fighting game character, an insanely cool storyline, and secrets galore. The game has great music too, and is a great addition to any gamers collectin. Inconclusion, this game is a MUST HAVE!!!
THE GOOD: Very entertaining game. Many things to keep you busy, and endless customization for the new character, Emerl.
THE BAD: Not much bad about it. The whole 2-dimensional characters in a 3-dimensional surrounding still bugs me a little. But it works out.
SUMMARY: This game is a must-have for belonged Sonic lovers or people new to the Sonic series! This game entertains many types of gamers such as Sonic-ers, Fighters, RPG-ers, and even Armored Core-type people. The story line is put together well, and you discover new things by playing it through again! Many things to keep you busy such as Competition Fighting, Multiplayer Minigames,(which I may add only take one game pack!) Virtual Training, and of course the Story Mode. Minigames include a Minesweeper type game, a Treasure Hunt, a Racing game, a Flying game, and even a Knock-Out-of-the-Ring game! I'll let you buy the game and be the judge.
