"It's the familiar characters and Spider-Man's abilities that make this otherwise average action game so enjoyable."

"...if Digital Eclipse actually tweaked the tech to fix some issues the game already had the first time around, I'd probably be a little more lenient with the sequel. But there are some new problems to contend with, on top of the old issues that were a part of the original game's design. As excited as we were for the first Digital Eclipse Spider-Man game on the GBA, it's just a little disappointing to see its problem areas ignored for the sequel."

"In the end, there's almost nothing about Spider-Man 2 that makes the game come recommended. It's far too long and tedious, allowing us to save along the way, when its old school appeal would have been better served by fewer levels, no saves and less repetition."
