THE GOOD:The graphics are extremely loyal to the original version, in some aspects, it has been improved. Also, the music stays true to it's Mario-theme roots, and it packs 8 worlds filled with fun and challengeing levels. It also is compatible with the E-Reader to scan in new power-ups, levels, etc.
THE BAD:
The only thing is that it's essentially an old game. A good remake no doubt, but I never liked the original as I liked Super Mario World. It seems a bit too linear in places.
SUMMARY:
Well, I got this game only because I wanted to complete my Super Mario Advance collection. And I did. I had never beaten the original, it was too hard, so I simply game up. So I started the game, got back in the groove of things, proceeded with no problem because I had played the game both on NES and SNES. That gripped me is how much more fun it is on a handheld. It gave me a lot to do when I was bored, on a boring trip outside, and I had enough time to beat the game. it then dawned on me that this is the second greatest Mario game ever. My recommendation cannot be higher on this game. It is a good time in a cartridge.
