THE GOOD: Very varied and well-designed levels Sharp and colorful graphics Two difficulty-levels Great bosses Fun mini-games Excellent controlTHE BAD: Easy game on normal-mode Not that many levels SUMMARY: Graphics: Very colorful indeed, amazing variation between the different levels, great animation of Wario and the bosses. Great stuff
Sound: Good sound-effects and Wario voice, a huge number of tunes, some of them really good.
Gameplay: Superb control of Wario, brilliant level-design, fun boss-battles, extremely varied levels, but it is a little too easy, that has to be said.
Lifespan: A limited number of sizeable levels, that contains many secrets and a great high-score-system. Doesn't take long to finish, but excellent replay-value, making the game last a good while.
Overall: Brilliant 2D platformer-fun, that is strongly recommended.

Wario Land 4 = Fun adventure... | 4.0 0 comments |

THE GOOD: Good graphics, good adventure, fun gameplay, loads of mode, loads of extras, classic mario feel...THE BAD: Repetitive... SUMMARY: A good solid adventure title right here folks. This was one of the better adventure games to be released for the Game Boy Advance by far. It is a great game for people of all ages and it won't get boring anytime soon. If you're a fan of the old mario games, then this game is for you. It gives you the same feel as those old mario games and is basically set up in the same sort of fashion. You won't regret buying this title.
It could have used even the tinyest multi-player though. Even just some way to go co-op would have been really cool in this game and would have boosted the replay value a mile.
Overall Outcome: Buy It! |

THE GOOD: Wario Land 4 has great graphics, nice music, and sweet moves!THE BAD: The game was too short and easy! THE GOOD: The well-designed levels, the tricky bosses, and the wacked-out CDsTHE BAD: The what? SUMMARY: Last fall, i saw that Warioland 4 was coming out. I had never tried the warioland games, so i thought, hey, this looks interesting. I got it for Christmas. I thought it would be good. I was wrong. It was AWESOME! Side-scrollin' through 18 colorful levels, beatin' up 6 whacky bosses, and listening to great music. If you like gettin' rich, finding jewels, throwin' short archaeologists around, and catchin, on fire, grab your headphones and BUY THIS GAME! |

THE GOOD: - Great graphics for GBA - Funny moves and bosses - Long levels with lots of secrets - The minigames are sort of fun - Wario is the man! :-)THE BAD: - You could say its "just another platform game" - The games for GBA are too expensive!! SUMMARY: Warioland 4 was my first title I bought with my new Game boy advance and I really enjoyed it. The graphics are very good compared to some other games I saw in the store. Also the gameplay is great. Wario is equipped with a arsenal of (weird) moves such as a head-butt, a buttstomp, a shoulder ram etc.
The bosses were quite a challenge (to me) and about just as weird. Also should be noted that the game is full of humor, if you find one of the secret rooms with the small professor in it you can knock him over and toss him through the room while he swears at you. Hilarious.
Two thumbs up for Warioland 4! |

Wario is good, but still not good enough | 2.6 0 comments |

THE GOOD: The superbly colorful and highly detailed levels, the fun morphing and... being made by Nintendo?THE BAD: Too easy, not long enough compared to previous Wario Gameboy games and the early Super Mario Land games for the Gameboy. SUMMARY: Well.. I bought this game expecting a GBA that was really good enough to kill for, after starting the game.. I got everything I expected. A fun platformer good enough to live up with the Mario games but before the game could truely become a classic platformer like the previous Wario and Mario games.. it was over!
However, apart from the short life of this game I'd definately class it as a must buy for bus journeys etc as it can be replayed without getting boring, otherwise just buy it for the experience. Nothing new in the platformer world, but a good one either way =D |
