THE GOOD: Handheld, good combat system, grand story,
THE BAD: Weapons run out quite fast in battle

Although this one remains a classic
Final Fantasy Legend and its series is possibly the best RPG ever created. Not only did it revolutionize the Gameboy back in 1990, it also revolutionized the RPG gaming industry to a whole new level. Final Fantasy Legend is an RPG not to be thought of as an old and useless game. Final Fantasy Legend is an RPG that has all the things needed to grab the player and make them play. It has a well thought up story-line which is, 4 Warriors are in search for the Tower of Paradise. They must find these 4 Orbs that are scattered across 4 different worlds.
The Warriors must make their way through the worlds and the bosses guarding the Orbs. The real turning point of the storyline is that when you think you have hit the supposedly final boss (Ashura), you get warped back down to the first world and then you got to make your way back up the tower, but the tower changes and you have to fight the reincarnations of the original 4 bosses. Only then have you proven yourself worthy to fight man to man with the final boss The Creator. The second thing that makes up the game is the Magic and Elements of the game. Some RPG's may have the basic Fire, Ice, Bolt, and if you are lucky, Cure, but Final Fantasy Legend has that and everything else. From Fire, to Flare, this RPG is unsurpassed. The third and final thing that makes up the SaGa is the replay value, which can be tiring at first, but once you get the hang of the system and the enemies measuring their weakness and strengths, the game is quite a powerful punch. This game is surely not one to be put down easily. The only setbacks it's graphics and its sound quality. The graphics when it comes to enemies are almost horrible. They basically used the same sprites 4 5, even 6 times for the creature. Even is you have evolved into the more powerful of the original base of the monster, you still look the same. The sound quality is ok, it isn't the best in the world but Square still delivered. |
