THE GOOD:
the graphics, and the places that they don't have in gold and silver

THE BAD:
you can't catch celebi

SUMMARY:
I like this game, if it wasn't obselete I'd advise you to buy it. I hope in the future they make a remake of this game just like red and green. I'd say 2 thumbs up for it. It may be 3 years old, but I still shout "Pokemon Crystal is the Best GBC Game!"

THE GOOD:
you can catch suicune without having to go searching for it and also you can get rare candys for free off the password radio station.

THE BAD:
instead of being able to catch ho-oh easily you have to go catch the legendary dogs first.

SUMMARY:
i think it would have been a lot better if celebi was part of the game and you had to battle it instead of having to get celebi from an event.also i think it would be better if suicune wasn't so hard to catch because when i battled it it was on low health and alseep but when i tried to catch it it kept breaked even though i used a ultra ball in the end i got so annoyed with it i just used the master ball i had which i was going to save for raikou or entei.i also think it would be better if raikou and entei were easier to find for the first time.

GBC  Sadly, Just another remake. 3.8

THE GOOD:
New Stuff - you choose BOY/GIRL
- MUCH easier to catch Suicune
- The BATTLE TOWER, baby!!
- The Move Tutor, which can tach some great moves
- You can't catch Ho-Oh if you haven't caught
the legendary Cats/Dogs/Gerbils and Lugia
- new, much improved Ruins of Alph

THE BAD:
- Storyline!
- Replayability
- Pokemon League
- "Gotta Catch 'Em All" Need I say anymore?

SUMMARY:
Yep, Guess what? Yet another remake of an already exsistant pokemon game which generally includes some bonus features in it that supposedly make the game some-what better. However, I didn't notice much of a change in Pokemon Crystal from Pokemon Gold/Silver. Read on to find out more ;

Controls: 8/10
I thought that the controls were pretty easy to use and, like all pokemon series games, was pretty easy to remember. Seeing as the gameboy colour only has four buttons and directional buttons, what else would you expect?

Game Play: 10/10:
Same tried-and-true system of the Pokemon series, with a few new bells and whistles introduced by Gold and Silver. The battle system is arranged very well, the new backpack used to separate and store items is quite handy, and the new radio is quite charming and innovative! The 'gotta catch 'em all' aspect is still alive and well, and still includes Gold and Silver's new addition of more Pokemon. Now there are 250 (actually, 251, if you include the hidden Pokemon Celebi, which you can only acquire through the use of a GameShark or Nintendo promotional event). Some, you must get only by trading with your friends that have the Gold and Silver versions. The game play is highly enjoyable, and if it weren't for this element of Pokemon, I don't think that the games would have done as well. In addition, you can battle and trade Pokemon with a friend if they have a Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, or Crystal game pak, and a link cable. This adds much fun and allows for a little replayability.

Graphics: 7/10:
Same as Gold and Silver, I guess. Pokemon Red and Blue's graphics were either...mostly red or blue, which got frustrating but that was gameboy...what were you excepting? Hight of graphics at the time, I suppose. But, Yellow actually had different colors! Then, Gold and Silver had a wide palette of colors, which also looked smoother than Yellow's. Pokemon Crystal didn't add much more, except the addition of a sign saying what route you're on or city you're in, which pops up when you enter that route or city, and the addition of the choice of a girl or boy character when you begin playing Pokemon Crystal.

Story: 6/10:
A compelling story has never been a strong point of the Pokemon series, but there's not too much you can do as far as story goes on a GameBoy Color...Basically 'become the pokemon master' storyline, which isn't much to go by unlike other monster catching rpgs like Lufia. Anyhow, the story is a bit better than that of Gold and Silver; it revolves around a mystery concerning the Legendary Pokemon Suicune (which, is my personal favorite out of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune), and is a step up from Gold and Silver's bland storyline. Still, it's nothing to shout about and get too excited for. Not the storyline of the century.

Sound: 6/10:
Most of the Pokemon sounds for attacks are still just as choppy-sounding as they were in Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. There are slight improvements though.

Replayability:
More than the usual RPG. As I'll say again and again, RPGs usually have little or no replayablity, unless you wish to relive the story again by starting a new game, or trying to complete side-quests and level up your characters. Sure, you can continue to trade and battle Pokemon, but the fun of it wears off quickly. However, you can continue to level up your Pokemon, if you wish, and try to catch any that you missed.

THE GOOD:

SUMMARY:
So, the colour could be better. What would you expect from Gameboy Colour? For it's gameboy, this game is good, and I'd reccomend it to anyone. The legendary pokemon such as Suicune are considerabely easier to catch and the pokemon moving add a certain "zing" to battles, this game is worth the trouble. And I can't express how happy I am that you can finally be a girl. Some would say that its the same as gold and silver, and in a way they are right, but the few differences that make this game Crystal are enough for anyone who wants it:)

GBC  Pokemon Crystal - An RPG not a Childish Disaster 5.0

Most people think that pokemon games are simply stupid because mostly played by young children. That is not true in any way (unless you don't like pokemon and that's your own opinion). This game is a quality rpg - not a game that little children love to play. Although many young kids enjoy this game, an older audience can enjoy this game too.

In this game, you don't run amok in a land of mystical bunnies and magical flowers; you get pokemon, battle them, and try to train them up until they are at an incredibly high level and beat the "Pokemon League," some of the best pokemon battlers in the game.

There are many options for things that you can do - trade pokemon with other real people with a link cable, battle pokemon with other real people with a link cable, and you can trade or battle with the automated computer people - they are just the same.

I seriously rate the game a 10/10 for the factors that I have mentioned. ( I don't know how to use the score feature, so I'll just say it here. )

THE GOOD:
All Pokemon, Long story, lot of Pokemon to catch, and two regions, lot's of Trainers, good game, rumors.

THE BAD:
Graphics, 2D, can't walk diagnols, color and sometimes the game goes crazy, cheats.

SUMMARY:
This game is really good, but there is some error on color and gameplay, also graphics aren't good enough and it's although 2D. but this game is really fun, and there is all Johto Pokemon and all Kanto Pokemon, but some of them, you have to trade. you should really buy this game because it's really fun and there is lots of Pokemon to catch, and I was enjoyed of fighting Red, and some Elite4. And there is some Shiney pokemon that you've never seen and there is ome rumors and some strange Pokemon. Well that's all, agree with my Review? reviewed by megacool999.

THE GOOD:
Almost everything, I've mastered it! & also the glitches.

THE BAD:
Almost half.

SUMMARY:
Totally cool!
Many glitches happens
But, good things return!
Exciting
Realistic

&

You name it!
Its totally awsome!!!
You'll enter the world of battle tower where you can try how good you are when coming to pokemon.
You will also have special shiny pokemons!
And you'll have this extra ordinary Odd egg!
Also its colored & have animations in it!
This is the best, as the GS has only a player while this game where you can choose Male or
Female pokemons, well Cheats are facinating in the game. Cuz there's many codes here.
You'll get phone pals which you can get stones for evolving pokemon.
You even get vitamins from them, or maybe they'll point out some rare pokemons!

Enjoy your game!

GBC  Take a Break from Poke'mon, Nintendo 1.8

THE GOOD:
Capturing and breeding Poke'mon. You can choose from a boy or girl trainer. Night has different Poke'mon than in day.

THE BAD:
The game gets so repitive, beyong belief. This is just like Poke'mon Yellow in many aspects. The battle plan is creative, but not good. But, the battle plan is the same from Red and Blue. Even though the battle plan is creative, not much has been done to the series. An ATB system would be a nice addition to the Poke'mon games.

SUMMARY:
I am so sick of the Poke'mon formula. Capture Poke'mon, stop Team Rocket, battle the Gym Leaders, and become the number one Poke'mon Master. You aren't missing anything by not playing this game. There are better monster capturing games than this such as Dragon Warrior Monsters1&2. GameFreak Co., put no effort into the Poke'mon series. Poke'mon Red, and Blue where enough.
