THE GOOD:
  • Graphics (at the time but still better than Blue and Red)
  • New colors
  • New Pokémon sprites
  • New plot
  • Follows the show
  • Music

    THE BAD:

  • Gary (YOU WERE GONNA GET EEVEE!)
  • Sounds
  • The starter Pokémon (Pikachu)

    SUMMARY:
Pokémon Yellow Special Pikachu Edition is a remake of the original games, Pokémon Red and Blue. Pokémon Yellow actually follows the TV show really well and is IMO everything Blue or Red could've been. The only thing I hated about this game was the starter Pokémon which is Pikachu. It's frustrating trying to make him do stuff and it's REALLY frustrating beating the first gym leader, Brock. Pokémon Yellow follows the TV show but at a different angle. Misty and Brock don't follow you and little stuff like that. But like the show, you have to make Pikachu happy and you can't keep him in a Pokéball. You can't evolve him, and you can't get another one so be...

    THE GOOD:
it is pokemon, you get every starting character from the previous versions where you can only get one

    THE BAD:
    there are no cheats

    SUMMARY:
It is pokemon so this game is awesome. It has awesome gameplay and graphics compared to Red and Blue. You get to have Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle all in the same game without trading. This game would be better if you still had the glitches that were cheats in the earlier games. Go and get this game because it is still that good.

    THE GOOD:
-The Original Set of Pokemon - A Classic
    -A Fairly Long Game
-Can Keep You Entertained past just beating the Elite 4
-Provide you with 50+ Hours of gameplay most likely, depending on how much you get into it
    -Good Graphics for it's time
-Battle your friends on Link Cable
    -Casino game
-Pikachu follows you (More of an Easter Egg)

    THE BAD:
-Pikachu doesn't really do anything useful when following you
-Pikachu is the only Pokemon you can have follow you

    SUMMARY:
The Pokemon Series Franchise started out with Pokemon Red and Blue in the late 1990's. Since then, there's been Pokemon Yellow, and also this Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition. The differences aren't really significant enough to mention, so let's stick to Pokemon Yellow in general.

    Graphics 9/10

Ok, looking at this review now, in 2008, you might call me crazy to give the graphics a 9 out of 10. Well It's only...

    THE GOOD:
It has more options than red and blue does. A little more updated than its predecessors.

    THE BAD:
Not much, but you just want more games like it.

    SUMMARY:
This game is basically a RPG game (Role-Playing Game). It has nice battle techniques. You can raise your pokemon to higher levels and battle and take care of them. Even you can earn badges too! A very good game. Rent to see if you like it.

    THE GOOD:
The game is a little more polished than Red and Blue, but I don't think much is different. Other than the fact that Pikachu must be with you at all times, or else he will no longer follow you around, which is pretty much the only fun aspect of the game.

    THE BAD:
Its almost exactly like Blue and Red

    SUMMARY:
Well, Pikachu does follow you around, and you can play a surfing game also, but that doesn't hide the fact its an almost exact copy of Blue and Red. I ouldn't be sure, though, before I beat the game my Gameboy pocket, along with Yellow, dissapeared....

    THE GOOD:
    - You get to start oout with Pikacu.
    - Mew is in the game.
    - Mewtwo is alos in the game.
    - You can get Surfing Pikachu.
    - You can catch most of the pokemon.

    THE BAD:
    - There are few Pokemon that aren't in the game.
    - You can't evolve your Pikacu into Raichu.

    SUMMARY:
If you like pokemon than you are going to like this game. This game is great and the best part is that you start out with Pikachu and Gary starts out with Eevee. Also now you get Charmender, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur in the same game. There are few pokemon that you can't catch and here is a list of them: Ekans, Arbok, Electabuzz, Jynx, Koffing, Weezing, Magmar, Meowth, Persian, Weedle, Kakuna, and Beedrill. The cool part is that there is a glitch in the game for you to capture Mew. Also you can hear Pikachu's voice in the game and you can also see how he is feeling. Some of the gym liders in the game are a little bit harder which maked the...

    THE GOOD:
The good thing was pikachu follows you and you could see his/her emotions. and there is heaps of Pokemon to catch and you can get all three starters. imagne that, you could catch way more pokemon than pokemon B/G/R.

    THE BAD:
The bad thing of this game is that the graphics and color. And there is some stupid rumors and crazy cheats.

    SUMMARY:
I love this game and it's really cool. It's same as Red and Blue, but Pikachu follows you and it's really cool. This game is hottest pokemon game I ever seen, and it's the bomb!!! This game is freaking hard though but you should get it later on during the game. The Elite4 and Gyms are extremly hard and you can't beat it if you haven't experienced playing pokemon games. you should know all the rules and some other stuff. Well you should figure it out your self in some other Rumors and Cheats, and it hurts alot. And please buy this game. reviewed by Megacool999.

    THE GOOD:
You can get PIKACHU, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squritle

    THE BAD:
about all pokemon games in the GAMEBOY, is that not all digimon are in each game.

    SUMMARY:
a great example of games brought by nintendo...my opinion might not be helpful... but seriously this game is not really for kids 12yrs and older but i still respect the children that like this game and its a great game that keeps ur eyes into it from time-to-time.

    THE GOOD:
It was a good game overall, some good graphics (for when it was made), good gameplay, exciting adventure. You did many things from giving a drink to the Gate Guards to exploring the depths of caves. Pokemon were spread out greatly, and it was fun to have Pikachu following you around. Talking to him helped out nicely, and gave you a laugh sometimes. You could see how he acted, and I liked this a lot.

    THE BAD:
Pikachu couldn't evolve, and I felt guilty whenever I didn't have him on my team. Without him following you, the game is a little bit worse. After the game it was very boring, there wasn't much to do besides keep challenging the Elite Four. Leveling up was extremely tedious, because it was hard to keep up with all the other trainers and gym leaders. I would have liked it more if they would have given more wild Pokemon that were good sooner in the game, and more water types. Fire types were also hard to come by, and took a lot of looking. The...
