THE GOOD:
Third Person, Sweet Graphics, Great Soundtrack, Tight Story, Innovative Missions

THE BAD:
Learning Curve, Slightly Repetative

SUMMARY:
Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64 was a revolutionary game. The first game for a console that brought the fun from the PC to the TV. A truly great game. But after EA bought the lisence from Rare, the games have been declining. Agent Under Fire had good ideas, but seemed sloppy. NightFire fixed some of those problems, but still not what people were expecting. So, EA decided to go with an unexpected spin. Third person perspective. Did it work? Hells yes.

The first thing Bond gamers will notice is the perspective. Like I've said before, it's third person. Some people think this takes away from the experience, but it actually adds. Unlike other Bond games, there is actually a very good fighting system with sweet looking finishers. Also, you can see your perspective better, which adds some new gadgets into the mix. Very sweet. A nice transaction.

Another thing that people will notice is that this is probably the best looking Bond game out there. The characters look just like the actors. Enemies respons to your attacks realalistically. Details on stone and other backgrounds look surprizlingly realistic. Very nice. Another thing is the sound. Finally, all of the actors have agreed to do voices for the game, which is just amazing. It really puts you into the mood of a Bond movie. There's even a theme song sung by Mya. The weapons and driving sound effects are also top notch. Quite nice.

The story is also very Bond like. You know, rescue hot, important chick who turns on you. Evil dude works with hot chick. Another hot chick joins you. You win. Get the girl. But still, the story is really captivating. But probably my favoirte part of the game is the mission variety. Most people think cuz it's a shooter means all you do is shoot. WRONG! In one mission, you're taking a tank through Red Square in Russia destroying generators. In another, your jumping off a cliff trying to rescue your falling lady. Very sweet. The only bad part is many of the missions like that are very brief and don't appear as often as the shooting. Also, there is a learning curve. Locking on may take some time getting used to. But once you got it, you'll wonder why it wasn't done sooner.

All in all, if you want a Bond game, get this. Sure, it ain't an FPS, but you don't need it to be.

THE GOOD:
~The graphics
~The game play
~The story line
~Good replay ability
~Sound
~The vehicles
~The whole Bond thing
~Worth your money

THE BAD:
~The multiplayer

SUMMARY:
Well for all us Game cube fans we have the best bond game out, that's right. Well let’s start off saying that this is a vast improvement from the past games in almost every way. The game of course starts you off in the middle of action, as this is Bond, and it set off a good impression of what the game was going to be like.

Unlike its predecessors the game is set in a 3rd person camera angle. As a result of having 3rd person it has allowed EA games to do more character movements, which immeasurably helps out in the game.

Though out the game, James Bond once again visits exotic locals and this gives more of an atmosphere when you are playing. The immense level design and the amount of levels (over 25 levels) give more replay value that is most needed when it comes down to action games.

The other unique thing about the level design is the multiple path’s in which you can take. For instance in one of the earlier levels you have the choice of taking a motorbike on the dangerous path or the car on the safer path. This means you can replay the level and get different ways in how the level is.

The unlockable’s in the game are an enormous improvement from the past games as you can even unlock a gallery mode, in where you go around in a peaceful gallery where you look at the many artworks thanks to EA games artwork team. The other unlockable's are excellent and at times you feel like going back to the gallery just to chill out from the tensons from the difficulty of the game.

The cast for once is the same from the movie and it

quote Q
makes you feel like you are playing Bond
This here means that even Q aknowledged that this is the first game in where you feel like bond.

The music to the game is actually quite good with mnay different harmonies.

Multiplayer is a major let down, if you only want to play multiplayer with people this is not the game to get, (I suggest the past games would satisfy your multiplayer needs). Horrible multiplayer. The arena mode feels really stupid as your in a 5 by 5 metre room where your all on the one screen. Basically your face to face with shotguns and basically means who ever can press the trigger the fastest wins. Really stupid. If your after multiplayer with bots I'm afraid to say there are none. Though there is a co-op mode but there are different missions to the co-op so you aren't playing the normal missions. Over all the multiplyer was a major let down and I say that Night fire's multiplayer was better.

Results:
Gameplay: 9.5 /10
Graphics: 9.5 /10
Sound: 9.5 /10
Replay value: 9.0 /10
Multiplayer: 5.0 /10
Overall: 8.5 /10

In my opinion I recommend this game to all action lovers as there are normal missions tank missions, car, motor bike, helicopter and more to satisfy every one's needs in how you want to play the game.
