THE GOOD: Almost everything is fantastic, the weapons, the spells, the storyline, the items, the super challenging puzzles, this game just can't get any better
THE BAD: Not too much that goes here, the only thing I can think of is when you're insanity level is high, then there is all these wails of people and stuff, that can sometimes be annoying
SUMMARY: One of the greatest games I have ever played, but this game is very challenging. You will get stuck a lot of the time with the puzzles in it The graphics are great, nothing wrong with them, I don't think anything should've looked better then it was and I had no problem with them. So you shouldn't either. The storyline is great, your grandfather has died and you are looking for what exactly killed him since the police have no idea. After that it brings you to a series of chapters from the tome of eternal darkness. As you read about their stories, you play as them, and you find out...
THE GOOD: The graphics are great, the sound is perfect, and the fun factor is off the scale. Nintendo and Silicon Knights have created the best reason to own a GameCube. I give this game the highest recommendation available. Don't skip out on this one! It's all in the details.
THE BAD: I can't think of one thing that this game has to make it at all bad. This is a great game!
SUMMARY: Darkness has finally fallen upon the GameCube. After numerous delays Eternal Darkness has been released onto store shelves and it was well worth the wait. It has quickly become one of my favorite games on the GameCube and is easily one of the best games released so far this year. Sure, that's a bold claim, but upon playing the game for about four or five hours I think most players out there will come to the same conclusion. Ever since Eternal Darkness was announced there was a shroud of mystery around the game. Silicon Knights had big plans for their new...
THE GOOD: Some challenging puzzles which is a nice change.
THE BAD: The game is far too short. There isn't much variation in what you do once you have completed it once.
SUMMARY: Visuals: he visuals are great but they are even better during the cutscenes. The lighting is also excellent. 9/10
Audio: Some creepy music but then again, it is nothing too special. The other audio, such as when you are going around the house andwhen you go insane goes a bit annoying but the rest is great. 8/10
Gameplay: Guns 'n' Swords are the main aspect and you kill a horde of monsters through each chapter in order to achieve your goal. Some pretty challenging puzzles as well. Also, there is a thing called a sanity meter which might send you insane! Sometimes the screen will go blank etc, but that is the best thing about gameplay. 10/10
Longevity: Very short but still a great game. 5/10
THE GOOD: This game does the GC justice. It pushes the system to it's full potential.
THE BAD: IT SCARED THE POOP OUTTA ME
SUMMARY: OK, all i gotta say is whoever the sick twisted [F-bomb] is that thought this up, i really want to congradulate you on scaring the living [F-bomb] out of me before i kill you. This game is totally rockin' awesome and i will tell anyone with a sound bladder to go buy it. Otherwise, go buy it and sit on a plastic bag, because it will scare the piss out of you and it is a wonderful knockout of a game.
THE BAD: Little point in replaying Cathedral "Demon Boss" poorly thought out
SUMMARY: Eternal darkness was originally planned for the N64. Now here it is on the Gamecube. Is it any good?
Graphically it is brilliant. Fantastic use although it doesn't quite push the system, it does the job well enough. The sounds are suitably spooky and this game will really scare the brown stuff out of you.
This game has a fantastic concept. You play as different characters across different time periods using different items and magic. The use of the sanity meter is one of the best additions to the game.
Like Resident Evil this game also plays on the "things that go bump in the night" bag of tricks. You'll find yourself entering every room warily or jumping as a tree branch hits a window. Fortuantely this is not done at the expense of gameplay. The effects caused when your sanity meter...
THE GOOD: quite hard, puzzles every were(i have to come here to get the walkthru every 5 minutes) at the start its poor and crappy, but as you progress deeper and deeper into the game, the sounds of women and children moaning realy does scare you as you think, oh god did that come from downstairs? or the game? gives me the goosebumps!(you can also save nearly any were except when the dark forces are around you!)
THE BAD: the poor animation is a downfall. when they talk it doesnt seem real enough. and all the holusonations!
SUMMARY: i think you should rent it first, but if you like resident evil, you might just like this!
i think its a very thought-out game with a good story board, great magick spells, and swords!(hurray)and the whole plot just keeps you going, your permenantly wanting to find out what happens next! i wont give the story away so dont bother asking me! ICE.
THE GOOD: Graphics were great, great gameplay, lots of puzzles, endless replay value, fun factor...
THE BAD: Dark and hard to see...
SUMMARY: I found this to be a great game. It was very entertaining with loads of things to do. Nothing held back in this game. There were several different characters to play as, all whom had their own weapons and characteristics that made them useful. There are several challenging puzzles to go along with the game that make you think and plan you're route. The bosses are pretty good as well. They are at a good difficulty level with loads of different attacks.
THE GOOD: Getting to play as different characters. The magic and Sanity meter are a nice touch.
THE BAD: Easy to complete once you've played your first scenario.
SUMMARY: Playing as different people through different time periods is this games major drawcard, no more playing as the same old boring character all the way through. And as well as that you get to see different time periods and use a variety of weapons from a sword to a mighty elephant gun.
The ability to use spells adds more depth to the game as you need to use spells to solve certain puzzles and you even get to summon your own creatures.
Combat is well executed, being able to target different body parts such as chopping off the head blinds the enemy and alows you more freedom to quickly deal with other threats.
This game will get you thinking as there are plenty of puzzles and you'll need patience to solve them.
THE GOOD: ~nice tense music that drives the pace. ~a good magic/fighting set up that's easy to use ~multiple characters to play thru ~an intriguing, wild storyline that spans the ages ~crazy, CRAZY "insanity" effects
THE BAD: ~on a system like the gamecube, graphics coulda been better ~not a lotta replay value here. beating the game w/ all 3 gods grants u something like invincibility, but not much
SUMMARY: this is one of the greatest games released on Gamecube. there's this thing called a sanity meter, which lowers everytime a monster spots u. when low enough, strange illusions take over ur perception, from ur own disembowled head speaking Shakespeare, to seemingly game glitches, like restarting or muting of the game. it's so realistic, it'll have u freaking out when ur game suddenly seems to be deleted. the storyling is deep, intricate, and amazing. this horror game pits u against a deep plot to resurrect a powerful...
THE GOOD: A chance for every badass zombie fighter to finally take off from guns and get down and dirty with a sword.
SUMMARY: Tip: always go for the head. Remember, enchanted weapons are good, and speed will always beat size. My personal favorite is the dual tulwars. Although the long sword has the best combination of range and power, it simply requires too much room to swing. When attacking the horde as Kazim, however, go for the Ram Dao. With this, you can take out every attacking zombie at once. The gladius has exactly the speed and range necessary to chop off zombie heads. TRACKERS ARE GOOD!! use them to fill up any category you need to. However, if you are full up, don't bee ashamed to sneak around or take them out with a pistol shot.
