THE GOOD:
Amazing Graphics and Cinematics, Disgusting Soundtrack, Customazation, Wide Variety of Cars, Story Mode, Very Hard

THE BAD:
Repetative at times

SUMMARY:
A seemingly queit highway slept under the night's sky. Suddenly, two crafts, passing by at ludicours speeds, raced across the closed road. One was massive and black, heavy in weight. The other was a purple color, but also heavy. After miles of intence racing, the purple craft, known as the Dark Schnider, had rammed the Black Bull into the wall, sending it flying, exploding as soon as it made contact with the ground again. A man dressed as a black devil crawled out from the wreckage, holding his right arm. As he fell to the ground, a massive robot, controlled by the brain of a human walked up to the racer, grabbing him by the throat. He coughed. "No... please. Just give me... one more chance." The man pleaded. "One more chance is all you get." The robot said in a deep voice. "Win this F-Zero Grand Prix or... you know the price of failure." He dropped the man to the ground as he made his way to the Dark Schnieder. "Yes, I promise. I can win it this time." The other man said. "I swear." The cockpit slowly closed, and the Dark Schnider disappeared into the night's air.

F-Zero GX is a racing game set in the future. The main point of this game is speed; your vehicle can reach speeds over 2,000 KPH, and that's pretty damn fast. But there is violence on the track. Boost, spin, and smash to guarantee your first place finish.

First, the good. This game looks amazing, especially the cinematics. You won't find too many other games that look as good as this. Everything from the sence of speed to the highly detailed backgrounds to the craft paint job to the pilot's costumes. Absoultly amazing. Too bad you're going so fast. You miss alot of the more stunning visuals. And with the great graphics comes the soundtrack. Again, very well done. A mix of metal and techo works surpirzingly well. Each course has its own tune, and so do each character. Each one is top notch. Each song represents a mood of either the characters or course, and it cpatures you. It really puts you in their shoes.

Also, their are over 30 cars you can choice from, each with it's own strength and weakness. Prefer speed over traction? Power over acceleration? Whatever you want, there is a car for you. And if you can't find one, you can always make one. With over 180 unlockable parts, you can make the car of your dreams. Select the parts, the colors, the symbols, and the racer. Each race means something more after this since you're racing your own creation.

Another addition to the F-Zero series is the Story Mode. You play the infamous Captain Falcon, the legendary bounty hunter who claims all races he takes part of. Each race is diffrent; one might have you dodgeing falling rocks, and the other might want you to destroy a certain ammount of crafts, while another could want you to not go under a certain speed. And surpirzingly, this is no pushover game. In fact, G4 voted it one of the Top 10 hardest games of all time. But unlocking another chapter in story mode or another character is a very good feeling, especially since it took so much to unlcok them.

All in all, this game is very close to perfection. The only problem I had with it is that after everything is unlocked (which is near impossible), the game gets old and repetative. But everything else is very top notch. A very good game. Get it. Now.
