There are few games that can hold a candle to the fast-paced and highly-addictive nature of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. And there are even fewer that have reduced the offices of SR Towers to such a standstill. Passersby were wandering in to see what all the fuss was about, the Art Monkeys were cooing over the gorgeous visuals and the rest of use were just loving being back on the tracks of the Mushroom Kingdom.
The big gameplay addition to the fourth incarnation of Mario Kart is the fact that single-seater racing is out and tandem racing is in. Each wagon has a driver and a passenger who can switch places at any time, and rather than just being there to justify the subtitle, each character can carry a weapon, adding a whole new strategic element to the racing. You can hoard that red shell for the last lap without having to do without mushrooms, or you can daisy-chain said speed boosts together for some last second overtaking.
The cast and circuits are as interesting and varied...
THE BAD: There is not much bad about this game except for the lack of battle tracks.

The controls are easy to handle. But it's hard to master the game which is a good thing because the previous Mario Kart was to easy in my opinion. But DD really needs alot of practice.
The best thing that they changed in my opinion was that every character had his own special abilty e.g. Wario has a bomb-omb which he can throw and will make a devastating explosion to whoever dares to go near it. I could say everyones special ability but you have to find that out for yourself.

THE BAD: It can be tricky to get first place in everything.

THE BAD: Isn't really anything bad about this game.
SUMMARY: Double Dash is a fun racing game with a lot of the original Nintendo characters, and some new. You can also race in cups (mushroom, flower, star, special, mirror, and all-cup tour). For getting First place in a race you get 10 points, then 8 for 2nd place, ect. Each race gets more and more challenging. All the characters (already there when you start the game/unlockable characters). Mario, luigi, peach, yoshi, baby mario, baby luigi, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Daisy, Waluigi, Birdo, Toad, Toadette, koopa, paratroopa, Diddy Kong, Petty Pirahna, and King Boo.

SUMMARY: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is one of the best racer games in the history of videogaming. It's way better than all the other Mario Kart games and it's really fun! One of the best things is Multiplayer mode: no matter if you play on battle mode or on grand prix mode... you'll love it! The only thing which isn't that good is that it's too short, but if you play with some friends you'll play this game over one month! Want me to descrive this game with one word? PER-FECT !!!!!!

THE BAD: Battle mode arenas too small Not enough tracks 150cc feels too slow
SUMMARY: Although by far the best racing game for the Gamecube, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! still feels like there could be a few more improvements. I felt there should be more tracks, there are only 12, and they should have made 150cc faster. I was definetly satisfied with the game, and should keep anyone busy for hours. There are tons of characters and karts and you can even unlock more. Multiplayer on this game is awesome. Even if you don't have three friends to play with, you can always play one person, although not as fun as multipayer, it is still awesome.
THE GOOD: .Nice graphics.

THE BAD: .Two people in one kart - why bother?
.Daisy's annoying phrase when she takes you over.
.Some slightly boring tracks.
SUMMARY: The big selling point of DD is the fact you can have two characters in one kart. But really, having two people is no different to how it was having one, rendering it slightly pointless. This definitely doesn't spoil the game though, it's still a great Mario Kart game and probably the best yet, but it isn't a huge leap on from previous games in the series.
Some tracks are great (Wario Colloseum, Bowser's Castle etc) but some are slightly poor (I'm naming no names here.)
Overall, an excellent game, worthy of a 4.5 to a 5, but it's too similar to previous titles to earn that mark.
THE GOOD: Characters,graphics items almost everything Multiplayer will just blow u away

SUMMARY: this game is just amazing u can pick pairs of your favourite mario characters. the multiplayer is just da bomb me and my freinds play it all the time and I'm so glad I picked it up for £20 in the january sales. 3 WORDS GET THIS GAME Ur collection won't be the same without it. the only thing that could posibly bad is the fact that the on Player does get a tad boring and it comes into true effect when doing the all cup tour so grab a freind and get ready to Double Dash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S If u don't get this game I will hunt u down and grab ur wallet and buy it 4 u This game is the Reason u should get a Nintendo Gamecube
