There are few games that can hold a candle to the fast-paced and highly-addictive nature of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. And there are even fewer that have reduced the offices of SR Towers to such a standstill. Passersby were wandering in to see what all the fuss was about, the Art Monkeys were cooing over the gorgeous visuals and the rest of use were just loving being back on the tracks of the Mushroom Kingdom.
The big gameplay addition to the fourth incarnation of Mario Kart is the fact that single-seater racing is out and tandem racing is in. Each wagon has a driver and a passenger who can switch places at any time, and rather than just being there to justify the subtitle, each character can carry a weapon, adding a whole new strategic element to the racing. You can hoard that red shell for the last lap without having to do without mushrooms, or you can daisy-chain said speed boosts together for some last second overtaking.
The cast and circuits are as interesting and varied...
THE GOOD: This game had great courses, much better graphics than Mario Kart 64, lots of stuff to unlock, I could go on forever! This game is one of my all-time favorites!
THE BAD: It can be tricky to get first place in everything.
SUMMARY: This game is much better than the original; you control two characters on a single kart, the front driving, and the back throwing items. It's much easier than it sounds. However, you're reading this for unlockables, so I'll tell you the unlockables. ------------------------------------------------- To unlock anything you need a gold trophy on the cup. To get a gold trophy you need the most points on the cup total. Each cup has 4 races, except the All Cup Tour, which has 16 races. ------------------------------------------------- Get a gold trophy on... To unlock... ~~~~~~~~~~ 50cc Mushroom Cup = Green Fire Kart 100cc Mushroom Cup = Rattle Buggy Kart 150cc Mushroom Cup =...
THE GOOD: The characters, karts, stages, and battle mode. With diffrent items you can play with it all day long with your friends.
THE BAD: After you beat the game there is not much to do.
SUMMARY: I got Mario Kart Double Dash for Christamas and I must say I enjoy it. You have a chice with 20 racers and diffrent karts such as: Mario,Luigi,Wario,Waligug,Donkey Kong,Diddy Kong,Yoshi,Birdo and more! The game can be challenging sometimes but it's mostly fun. Don't feel like racing than you can always do battle mode with Ballon Fight,Steal the sprite, and Bomb battle with diffrent stages! Part of the game is making a team you like and feel comfortable with. If you don't have the game go and buy it today!
SUMMARY: It's here at last; The Game Cube version of Mario Kart. It better be good if they took all this time. GOOD NEWS! This is the best Mario Kart ever -- and that's saying alot!

It has great challenges and the co-op mode is unprecedented; two people control the same kart!! One person shoots and one person drives. No other game has anything like it. You can play with up to eight players between four karts (requires a hub and 2 cubes) and if one player's skill level isn't as high as another, just make em' the shooter on a co-op kart. The shooter position can be as involved as you want it to be. You can just throw stuff, or you can execute what they call a drift or slide attack and take other players' items or dodge obstacles at the last minute (among other things).

The battle modes have also been touched up as well. They now have three different...
THE GOOD: 16 selectable characters. Lots of stuff to unlock. Up to 8 can play via local or LAN connection. New multiplayer battle modes.
THE BAD: High difficulty level. AI is a little unbalanced. Subpar music. You have to earn Toad.
SUMMARY: Mario Kart finally arrives on the Gamecube with radical changes. Most notable is that each kart now carries 2 characters-one drives, the other uses items. This also allows 2 people to play together. I like that multiplayer mode was improved, including 2 new Battle games for 2-4 players. The AI in Grand Prix is improved so the CPU won't speed up when you pass, but they're also a lot tougher. My one complaint with characters is that (at first at least) Toad is not selectable! Whassupwiddat?! But this is still the best Mario Kart title yet, and one that more than justifies having a Gamecube.
THE GOOD: special items unlockable stuff like TOAD awsome levels luigi's mansion battles replays look cool graphics raceing
THE BAD: a bit hard luck matters items pick your fate
SUMMARY: If you cool get this game.If you don't get it I will buy it for you(with your money).I't's not as good as James Bond but get it
what I want you to know is it rocks. The karts are more like cars but they are all are different.PM me if you want to know more about them. There are a few unlockbals you get when you get gold.PM me if you want any info. The computers are easy in 50 prety hard in 100 and and a pain in 150.I won't tell you about the unlocakable ones so you'll have to PM me for that to.God I'm gonna be PMed to death. There are about 18 charicters with 4 unlockaboles(I can't speal it!)I't is awsome
THE GOOD: the multi player games are absolutly mayhem.
THE BAD: not enough cars and charicters.
SUMMARY: One minute you can be miles ahead the next u can be miles behind, as your freinds sent a rally of blue and red shells at you.I only got my gamecube last christmas and this was the first game i played and i quickly developed my skills and still my freinds mannage to beat sometimes. no matter how good you are at raceing games there is no way u can always win its impossible. the best part is when u complete the mirror mode all cup tour for the first and u see that that gold car unlocked it makes u feel realy good as you get that kind of brilliance that u only get from a mario game.
The graphics i would give a 9/10 as they are bold, buitifuland packed with charecterlike the nintendo games we love.i would give the sound an 8/10 as it is good but can start to get anoying after a while of play the same level over and over as one your feinds...
THE GOOD: The graphics are pretty nice for a racing game, extremely fun multiplayer, better items, two characters per racing kart, and character specials.
THE BAD: Honestly... except, some levels get on me nerves, but thats an opinion.
SUMMARY: Double Dash is just one of those games that you can't ever put down. Its a great game for multiplayer purposes, single player mode, and also just a fun game to pick up and play with your friends. There are quite a bit of characters (more than Mario Kart 64), a lot more stages to play on (also more than Mario Kart 64), and there are a bit of unlockables to.. unlock. For the special attacks, it varies with each character.. for example, if you have Yoshi on your kart (either driving or on item control) and you are losing, then you might get a special item where you have a giant egg that you can throw at people. Only that select character can get that item, and you mostly only get it when you're in trouble...
THE GOOD: What to start with; the levels are well planned. The charactors are true to the Mario games. The vehicles are futuristic and cool. The two player mode where you are on the same kart is excellent. The cups and different modes you play in are very cool.
THE BAD: I thought that this game is a bit short and not enough things to unlock (weapons, levels, cups). That was all I found wrong, this is still an awsome game!
SUMMARY: This game is great, I loved it the first time I played it. The idea for it is super. It is a one of a kind game. No other game has two people on one car. Out of all the games that I have played with a racing theme I have never liked one as much as Mario Kart: Double Dash. Although it is rather short and I wish there were more things to unlock, I still think it's a superb game.
SUMMARY: To all those wondering, the new formula for fun does indeed work its magic in Double Dash quite well. The best thing about double dash is the sense of accomplishment and skill that you get while playing the game. You're in 1st on Wario Colosseum and you think its no big deal, and then you realize that this whole time you've been aiming items skillfully while driving like a pro, and it makes you feel good. You also get a great sense of accomplishment upon unlocking new characters and karts. Just wait until you're cruising along on Rainbow Road with King Boo and Toadette in the golden Parade Kart-you'll vomit with happiness. The only downside is that once you get into the areas of the game like 150cc and Mirror Mode, the computers become too aggressive with their item use and the use of their kart weight. When you go over a jump next to a heavy kart, they'll sideswipe you...
