I decide not to do the "bad" and "good" 'cause i would just be repeating myself right now.
Anyways, The last few Mario Party games didn't exactly "win our hearts" as the one's on the N64 did. It's seems like yesterday when MP5 came out, and now there is a MP7...
Let's start with the minigames. Well, most of the minigames are annoying, simple two button controls like the "Control" stick, and the "A" button. The mingames are also too easy which makes them boring. For example, one minigame requires you to jump and catch musical symbols. Booooooriiiing... And another minigame requires you to just tap the "A" button repeatedly; It is very obvious that Hudson is running out of ideas.
We all know that you have to go through party mode numerous times to unlock "new" minigames right? In MP7, it seems that every time the "Wheel of Whismy" (I'm telling you, Hudson just need sto give up while they're behind...) is spun, they give you the same selection of minigames you played before. And sometimes when a new minigame you haven't palyed is up there (it appears as "??????????"), it will more than likely pick the one beofre or after it. Which means it'll take a long time to get new minigames which aren't fun at all. Don't get me wrong, some minigames are pretty fun, but playing them same danged ones over and over will put you in a coma.
One last thing to look at with the minigames are the Mic Minigames, which have yo to use a Mic (included with the game) to play. sounds like a good idea, right? Wrong. There are no Mic games that you can actually use the Mic to play. They all have you to say one or three words to make an action. For example, in the minigame "Oil Crisis" (darn you Bush), you have to say "left" and "right" to get more fuel (Got oil?) and say mushroom to get a boost. As said before, booooooriiiing...

Now to the Party Mode and the "8 Player mode"
(cooking up any more master plans for MP8 Hudson?). The Party mode board maps are nice and very colorful, but are very, very, small. Waaay too small in fact that some trails will lead you in circles like in the board map "Neon Heights". One thing I like about the maps though are the different ways to get stars, like in the board map "Windmillville"; you have to purchase windmills to get what's inside. But someone can come buy and offer more money, and get your star, which I think was a good idea (which we haven't been seeing a lot of lately)...
Luck, we love it and hate it, and as always, it seems to find it's way into a Mario Party game, sadly (I would make a wise crack here but it's too easy...). Well, let me just say you need loads of it to win a board map. Let's say you choose the character Boo, say hello Boo "Aheeeeenck!". You gave him 1 handicap. You just bought three windmills, one contained 3 starts, another contained 2, and the last contained 1. Somebody, let's say Luigi, walks by and he has 1 star already because of a handicap. He buys a windmill with 2 stars, steals Boo's 2 star windmill. You both now have 5 stars each. At the end bonuses, in a odd twist of events, Luigi gets three stars because of using a lot of orbs, moving the most spaces, and winning the most minigames (And one can win but landing on green or Bowser spaces. There are more of them than usual in this game).
Luck, you say? I say the Mario Party's luck on the Cube has just ran out.
8-Player mode. To sum it all up in two words,
it sucks. Two people have to share a controller. One uses, the "Control" stick and "L" button, and the other uses the "C" stick and "R".[sarcasm]Oh the possibilites with that![/sarcasm]. All the minigames for 8-Player mode are mover and perform an action over and over. As said before, booooooriiiing.

To sum it all up, the boards are nice and colorful, some minigames are pretty fun, 2 button controls make some games easy, a little too easy perhaps...
The bad of all this is that some mini-games are always chosen angain and angain on the "Wheel of Whimsy" which makes it hard and somewhat annoying to unlock new ones. And because of the simple and easy controls this makes fun minigames what audience? "Booooooriiiing!!!"
So, after many lab tests and crap, I give this game a 3.6 out of 5. It would've gotten a 4, but that would be too much and a 3.5 would be to less. So, a 3.6 it is =)
