THE GOOD:
Graphics, Music, Multiplayer, New suits, visors, and guns.

THE BAD:
No cool link up like Metroid Prime/Fusion, Takes place before Metroid II again, First Person Shooter.

SUMMARY:
Alright another Metroid Prime. I will refer to it as Echoes from here ok? Now Echoes takes place after Prime. Samus is returning from Tallon IV when she gets a call from the GDF troops on the planet Aether, So Samus heads on over to Aether. While she enters the planet however, her ship is struck by a lightning bolt from the ragin storm. So this means Samus is forced to land away from the GDF and must look for them while the ship enters self-repair mode. Now the game starts here with all the upgrades Samus had from Prime. (Minus the Gravity Suit, Ice beam, Spark wave, Flamethrower beam thing, Phazon beam, Super Missile, and Spider ball) So Samus doesn't have everything but she is still an ass kicker. After a bit of exploring you will find GDF soldier...

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes has been one of the most highly anticipated games of 2004. It was first introduced in 2003 at the E3 gaming expo by Retro studios as a 14 second video. Now, more than a year later, Metroid Prime 2 has turned into a game well worthy of praise.

New weapon systems, new suits, and new enemies make Metroid Prime 2 an incredible First-Person-Shooter. This game is very atmospheric, with 8 different environements each with it's own landscape, you'll be immersed in a very enriched experience.

Though MP2 strays from the other Metroid games in terms of storyline, choosing to move past the normal Space Pirate/Metroid based plot, it still manages to give the same level of excitement. Most of the game involves collecting new suit improvements, backtracking to previously unreachable areas, and using your new weaponry to conquer foes that block your path. As monotonous as some may think it seems, this game is in no way repetitive.

The boss fights are...

THE GOOD:
Offers a first look at the Light/Dark beam, aswell as the newer ennemies ( the Ing, Space Pirates ) and the mysterious Dark Samus...

Includes a missile expansion, and a breif trip to the Dark World.

THE BAD:
Unbeleivably short. An experianced player won't spend more than five minutes on this before beating it. Of course, sometimes that's not a bad thing...

SUMMARY:
As I said, this demo is incredibly short. Most of the doors are locked to ensure that players finish this as fast as possible, and don't stray too far. Unfortunatly, the Dark Samus fight is not included in this version of the Metroid Prime 2 Echoes demonstration. Still, if you have the means, I advise you to get this product.

Out of ten, I'd give this a seven and a half. It's alright, but they could have made it better.

THE GOOD:
Graphics The Same As Metroid Prime (Good, because they are some of the best that the cube has to offer).
Decent Story Length.
Decent Plot.
Loads Of Pick Ups/Upgrades.
Lots Of Battles.
Lots Of HARD Bosses.
Multiplayer (2-4 players, NO BOTS though).
2 New Suits.
Two New Beams (Usage of ammo).
Good Movie Sequences.
NEW VISORS!!!

THE BAD:
Ammo Usage.
No Bots On Multiplayer.
Some Bosses Are WAY To HARD without cheats (Yes I'm A Cheater).
Dark Worlds Are Annoying (until you get the light suit), especially when there are no health bubbles around to keep you alive.
Space Pirate Battles Make The Doors Lock Every Time You Go Into The Room, And There Often Isn't A Way Around The Room.

SUMMARY:
This game is Brilliant, if you're a Metroid fan. I found this game addictive on my first couple of goes on it, sure, the first boss was great (Three big Worms), I never used cheats at all on that boss.

THE GOOD:
almost everything

THE BAD:
really hard sometimes (which fills me with rage)

SUMMARY:
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is not as good as Metroid Prime, but it's still very good. The graphics look exactly the same as in Metroid Prime (which is a good thing), and it's still in first-person view (Yes!). There is a planet called Aether, which, somehow, is like, two planets. There's Light Aether (Where the Luminoth are.) and Dark Aether (Where the Ing are.). Because there are two planets, the energy of Aether was divided between Light and Dark Aether. I'm not good at telling about plots, so this might not make sense. Samus has to get the energy from Dark Aether and bring it to Light Aether. For a lot of the game, you are trying to get new beam thingies and stuff. It's annoying. The bosses are very hard sometimes. I guess you'll like this game if you are really patient and don't mind fighting a boss over and over and over again. This is a...

THE GOOD:
Great Graphics
Ability to explore everywhere.
Great Scanning abilites (Showing last transmission of Space Troopers)
Amazing Bosses
Introducing Multiplayer
New Powers featuring Dark and Light beams.

THE BAD:
Multiplayer (No co-op, limited areas, no teams, no bots)
Limited powers
Dark Aether's air is annoying
Metroids get annoying plus they are kinda limited for a game called METROID Prime 2.
Save Stations are too far apart.

SUMMARY:
Shortly after Metroid Prime, a group of Galactic Federation troopers were sent to investigate a mysterious planet, named Aether where weird events are going on. They chase a ship of Space Pirates onto the planet where things go wrong. The Galactic Federation doesn't know whats going on on Aether so they get their best Bounty Hunter to find out what's happened to them. Enter Samus Aran. Samus Aran arrives, with her ship damaged by lightning. After finding a mysterious portal,...

THE GOOD:
-still great graphics
-great booses
-great alone music
-fun gameplay
-finaly multiplayer

THE BAD:
-not as hard as Mertroid Prime
-not as long as the first

SUMMARY:
We all loved the first Metroid Prime, and now Nintendo has made a second one, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Though the metroid franchise was usually third person shooting, it went to first person. First, lets start with the graphics. They were beautiful in the first, and the graphics are still excellent, though the graphics didn't really change from Metroid Prime, they are still very good. In the audio department, the music in the game makes you feel you are alone, no one around. Well, untill a space pirate materializess in front of you, and starts shooting you. Though you won't find shotgun shooting in this game. Metroid Prime 2, is set in the future and you will find missiles and power shots, flying through the air. Now no shooting game wouldn't be complete...

    THE GOOD:
    Alternative control system
    Beautiful Graphics
    New abilities
    Intelligent Enemies
    Dual world system

    THE BAD:
Beam Ammo system stifles gameplay slightly
    Jumping still a little awkward

    SUMMARY:
The first Prime game did what some may have thought impossible - it transferred the Metroid series into a first person 3D world. More importantly it did it so well that Metroid Prime easily became one of the best game's on the Gamecube. That's an awfully hard act to follow, but Retro have returned with the sequel to that game, subtitled Echoes. This game takes the core mechanics of Prime and adds some new ideas to the mix. Here's the result:

    Visuals

Not a lot has really changed between the two Prime games in the visual department. However, that's not really a bad thing, as Metroid Prime was easily a treat for the eyes.

There is a wide variety of areas Samus will be...

    THE GOOD:
innovative gameplay and use of light and dark world portals. pimped-out suits make your eyes bulge

    THE BAD:
legend of zelda: a link to the past sounds familiar.
weapons take same shape and effect(sorta) as their Metroid Prime counterparts.

    SUMMARY:
As soon as this game came out, I bought it expecting a game similar to Metroid Prime. I was wrong. Sure the suit is the same along with many other aspects, but the feel of the game is totally different. In this game you actually get a sense of something behind you, even without surround sound. This aspect totally creeped me out in the dark world when there was an Ing right behind me. If you dont have this game yet, there's no consideration, just buy it. Even people new to the Metroid series will pick up the controls quickly and even though the game has a difficulty of 20/10, casual gamers will be veterans by the end of the game. Another great aspect of this game is the totally...
