THE GOOD: The fighting is fluent as fast paced, vast amount of unlockables, some of the best characters ever seen in an MK game, the long awaited return of Cyrax (WOO!), and the impressive graphics.
THE BAD: Drahmin and Nitara have to be the worst characters ever designed, Reptile in lizard form rather than ninja form, and the Konquest mode isn't is good as Deception's.
SUMMARY: All in all this is the best instalment in the Mortal Kombat series yet. The Krypt is incredibly large and jam packed with unlockable Koncept Art and videos, some action packed, and some really funny (Cooking With Scorpion for example). Fair enough I will admit the Konquest Mode pales in comparison with that of Deception, but it still trains you well in the art of Kombat. And who could forget the Fatalities? They are back in all their glory, although each character only has one. But they're back, in full 3D blood soaked goodness. The only possibly way to...
THE GOOD: better than any of the old games, controls, graphix, gameplay, the KRYPT!!, characters
THE BAD: unrealistic blood (trademark of mortal kombat and still stupid), combos still nearly impossible to do, not enough revealing clothing on the women
SUMMARY: OK this game is ver good. I used to hate MK with a passion. I played this just cuz my friend brought it over and picked it up quickly and fell in love with it. There are new aspects to it that the other games lacked like the journey and the Krypt that allows you to buy and upgrade arenas and characters, there are also unlockable videos and supplemental cool stuff like old screenshots from the old games and documentaries and stuff like that, its great. I will seriously recommend this game to anyone who is remotely interested in tournament fighter style games. It is the perfect game to round out a collection. Get off your ass and go buy it already.
THE GOOD: Great graphics, great blood effects, good gameplay and the Krypt and Koins were a great idea, the fatalities look great
THE BAD: Certain characters are not very good such as Mokap,Reptile,Nitara and Blaze and there is no animalities and only one fatality
SUMMARY: Summary: This game is great but after awhile it starts to lose its shine but get someone to play with and you should have some fun and the fatalities look great but there is only one which kind of disappointed me and the krypt is good with all of the sketches, renderings, and secrets in the krpyt you will not want to stop playing to you found them all and the Konquest mode is great for beginners in MKDA cause it goes through all of the 3 fighting styles with each character in great detail but overall this game is great to have and I recommend it to anyone who has a gamecube
THE GOOD: This game is what Mortal Kombat was always meant to be!I really like Konquest mode.In this mode you learn how the characters moves, combos and defenses work. And you also ket Koins to spend in the Krypt. If you like fighting games but hate the learning curve or button mashing this mode teaches you all you need to know.Using the Koins and Krypt system to unlock stuff is cool too.Makes you want to play more to unlock goodies.
THE BAD: Sometimes combos are difficult to time the button presses right. But with practice it gets easier.
SUMMARY: Rented it , loved it,bought it still play it still love it.Great game highly recommended. The game is really hard to beat, but it is a challenge most people want anyway,so go out and buy this excellent game and spend many joyful/thumb numbing hours beating the daylights out of you favorite MK baddie or each other with one of your buddies.
THE GOOD: new fighting system hard to do combos which are a good challenge they separate excelent players from good ones the konquest mode is great 4 learning as it takes u through progressive lessons on styles and combos.
THE BAD: limited modes (should,nt matter 4 mk fans)only 1 fatality should b 2
SUMMARY: overall the game is v good the new fighting system makes u HAVE 2 learn moves,u cant button bash or jump and kick, you gotta time ur attacks and know which moves to utilise in certain situations, this is great 4 people who like challenges, games that are easy are crap.to show off some flair u have to b good im not good yet my friend is fantastic, the best visual aspect of the game is seeing ur fighter perform chain combos that really does damage, better than bruce lee and jackie chan fight cenes. if u like mk and tekken get this.thoes hwo want a nice fighter with easy to do moves get bloody roar or street fighter. final verdict great...
THE GOOD: All of your favorite Mortal Kombat Kombatants are back.
THE BAD: The game's arcade mode is too short. And the combos can get very frustrating.
SUMMARY: When I heard the new Mortal Kombat game was coming out didn't think much of it...but now I do. On Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance you play as the regular Kombatants(but there is some new such as Kenshi a blind ninja with a gift of telekinetic powers) trying to stop Shang Shung and Quan-Chi from collecting peoples souls and putting them in an army called the Mytholigicial army of the Dragon King. The game is base around all mayhem but a lot of button presing. On the new and cool Konquest mode you train, get coins and sometimes see hidden characters that you will unlock in the Krypt, a place where there is a lot of Koffins with letters and a price. You have to get lucky if you find a hidden character. But Mortal Kombat Deadly alliance isn''t the greatest game. It has it's faults. Like on...
THE GOOD: Interesting fighting system, large number of playable characters, new use of weapons, Krypt & Koins add life to the game. Excellent training mode.
THE BAD: Character models and backgrounds not as good as on other (non-GC) fighters. Limited selection of play modes. Not all characters are well-balanced. Cheap boss fights.
SUMMARY: Yes, Liu Kang dies in the first 30 seconds of the CG intro. So what? He was dramatically unbalanced as a fighter and dull as dishwater as a character anyway.
Once that's over, you're left with a quirky interesting fighter. Each of the 21 combatants has three different fighting modes, two unarmed and one weapon style. Combos including two or three of the styles are possible for each fighter, if the user is suitably dextrous. There's an arcade mode where you take one fighter all the way to the end of a long and tough series of fights, and a challenge mode which features various training missions for...
THE GOOD: What you can expect from this game is not only it's superb graphics and detalied realism, This game will make you think twice of spending quarters at a nearby Gameworks lol.
The story starts out from MK4....Quan chi eventually escapes from the Netherealm and finds the hidden Army of the Unbeatable Dragon king, he plans to revive them with souls and plans a plot with Shang Shung. but for them to start any action, they knew they had to remove their worst adversaries and enemiesso nothing can get in their way. first, they Ambush Shao Khan (bout time..) and With their powers to ventuer to the Earthrealm, They eliminate Earth's divine Warrior, Liu Kang. Now its up to Rayden and the Earth forces to once again, duel in the 5th Mortal Kombat and acheive their vengance.....
*The game is Totally different from the previous MK's and offers a training guide for veterans and Newbies to train and become the skilled warrior when they dont know just how...
THE BAD: What the hell happend to good old Liu Kang>
SUMMARY: I thought this game would be tops in my list, I was wrong!
Sure it has fun new features like skill attacks and stuff, but amoung the stuff it took out, they took out LIU KANG!! If Deadly Alliance was part of the MK storyline, how could they get rid of him?! what the could have done was remove that damn Sonya Blade, or not..I repeat..not bring back that half-faced Kano!
So now that you read this, before you even think of buying MK: Deadly Alliance, save your hard-earned money for Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO, or Animal Crossing, or maybe even Bloody Roar: Primal Fury.
