THE GOOD:
  • The game has added four(4) players from the previous additions two(2) player multi player.
  • Many more characters to choose from.
  • More stages.
  • Handicaps are now available for those with less skill than others.
  • Amazing graphics for a Gamecube game.

    THE BAD:

  • The music still isn't the greatest.
  • When the characters talk the words don't match the mouth movements.

    SUMMARY:
Gameplay: The game play is actually fairly simple, and don't take long to learn.

The story mode is basically where you go through the game with your character (Naruto), and have matches in a arena, and try to win to advance on to the next part of the story mode, to have another match.

There are also different game modes you can choose from.

One Player Mode: In this mode you will play agianst 10 different characters in trying to get the highest score you can. You earn points by doing damage to your opponent. More damage, more points.

Oboro Mode: In this mode, you face clones(oboros) back to back. You continueisly try to kill them off until they finally get the best of you. This mode will put all of your skills to the test.

Play Against Computer: In this mode you will play a 1 vs 1 match against a computer. This mode is basically for fun, but it can help your 1 vs 1.

Team Battle: In this mode, you choose three(3) people to make a team. Then you will face off in a 1 vs 1 against you opponent. When your character dies, then next person in your group will come out to fight. This continues until one person has nobody on their team.

Survival: In this mode you try to kill as many characters in a row without dieing. Your health that you have left will stay the same for the next round, but you will gain just a little bit of health to help you out. The first few are easy but as you go farther up they get harder.

Time Attack: In this mode you try to go through ten(10)(20+ since you have to face each character at least twice) matches as fast as possible. This mode will help you with finishing opponents with the up most of speed. Your fingers will learn the buttons a little better also as your fingers move faster to keep your time low.

View Mode: In this mode, you choose two(2) characters to watch in a computer control match. This mode can be very helpful in learning combos, and figuring out weakness's and strengths against certain characters.

Four Player Mode: There is also the new addition of the four(4) player which can really add to game play.

Different ways to have a four(4) player game:

  • 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1. So basically a free for all.
  • 1 vs 3. One(1) person versus three(3) others.
  • 2 vs 2 A team game where it is two(2) people versus two(2) people.

    Characters in the game:

    Naruto
    Sasuke
    Sakura
    Kakashi
    Shikamru
    Ino
    Kiba
    Hinata
    Rock Lee
    Garra
    Sharingan Kakashi
    Kyuubi Naruto
    Might Guy/Gai
    Crow
    Konkuro
    Akamaru
    Iruka
    Kankurou
    Zabuza Momochi
    Neji Hyuuga
    Haku
    Mizuki
    Orochimaru
    Sharingan Sasuke

All that are Bolded, are the ones you must unlock

Graphics: The graphics for this game are actually good for it's time. The graphics itself are really what make this game good. It really adds a feeling to you while you are playing. You wouldn't expect these kinds of graphics for a Gamecube game. The character look almost as good as like the show at times.

Plot: The plot follows the show fairly well. You are Naruto and you go all the way to the Chunin Exams. It is basically like the first ones story mode. All through the this story mode they switch up the game play to issue the four(4) player capabilities as much as possible, and they go farther into the story of the show than the first.

After you finish the main story mode, you can buy little additions to play as other people, and even unlock new things.

Easter Eggs: If you have saved data of Naruto Clash of Ninja then you will get a free 10,000 coins to help buy things from the shop. Which goes a long ways. Considering you have to buy all of the unlock able characters.

Audio: The audio isn't the best in this game. The background music isn't worth listening too, and the characters voices aren't that great.

Controls: Are very easy to learn, and suit the game well.

    Buttons:

  • A: Is used more towards throwing kunai and shuriken. Except for those characters who don't have kunai nor shuriken, and use Taijutsu (Fist to fist fighting) instead.
  • B: Is used for Taijutsu attacks.
  • Y: Is used to throw your opponents, and in some characters moves it is used more as a push.
  • X: Is used to unleash your special move on a person when you have full chakra. Most characters specials need to be used right beside your opponent.
  • L and R: Is used to make a shift to the side, and to use a substitution if you have enough chakra.
  • Z Is used to face a different opponent when in a more than 2 player game.

Repetition: The game can get a tad repetitive as you spend countless hours playing matches to earn coins to buy every thing from the shop to have a full game experience.

Lasting Value: The game actually does last a long time. You will spend a long time buying stuff from the shop to improve game play. This will make you work hard to get the envied player 'Sasuke Uchiha with Sharingan.'

You will also spend countless hours playing with friends in multi player. Considering this is the best part of the game, you will spend most of your time in it. When you are having fun, you will notice your rise in coins, which will help you buy out the shop.

Tying Into a Series: This is the second game in the series. Too bad that the others won't come to the USA due to it is a Japan exclusive.

Glitches: There are glitches in the game, but nothing that will ruin your system or game.

    One of these glitches include:

  • Making Neji invincible, when you can land one palm during his special instead of two.

Recommending It: I would really recommend this game for all Naruto fans. Especially since this is the last game that will come out anywhere except Japan.(Yes you can import)

You will spend many hours playing this game with friends, especially since you can now play with three(3) of your friends instead of one(1).
