THE GOOD:
The graphics are mostly good. There are a lot of monster things you can fight with. There are cool secret areas.

THE BAD:
Katia's hands are huge! Everyone's hands are huge! I don't really notice the music that much. It's either not there or really quiet.

SUMMARY:
This game was pretty good, but odd. I didn't really get what the story was. It kind of creeps me out sometimes, like that funky graveyard place. There were some pretty cool monster things like the Necromancer and Lycanthrope. Birdman's awesome, too. Every characters hands are huge! I mean HUGE! Katia's not that bad looking 'cuz she's like a princess person, but her hands aren't very princess-y. The camera's not that good. I can hardly see anything. It always has to be all far away. For some reason there's these screenshots showing stuff all close up. What the heck. You can't get the screenshot within like five yards length of her face. I'm not really...

THE GOOD:
Pleasant music, cuuuute fairies! Nice storyline, good battle system.

THE BAD:
Graphics quite strange and hard to get used ot sometimes (Huuuuge hands!) Quite short Gameplay, some short levels.

SUMMARY:
There is danger in a world far away...a dark power is coming. The worlds only hope is one princess, and a pack of tattered cards...

Let me start this off by: OHHHH YEAHHH!! What a cool game! The storyline is absolutly great once you get into it, and most of the longer levels are very fun with lots of battles and puzzles. I also like this game for quite good adventuring space, lots of dragon minions (Yahooooo!!) and these sweet little bunny-type fairies you find that say the cutest things!! They remind me kinda of Calumon from Digimon Anyway, even though this game is short, if you find it cheap, it is definatly worth it.

THE GOOD:
The graphics are excellent while the cards top it off with a neat role player system

Let's start by saying I wouldn't write this if I agreed with the other reviews, I write this to give an alternate view on this game.

Lost Kingdoms is, in short, dull.
It lacks a storyline: "you have the power to use cards, go here, go there, now beat the ultimate evil". Hardly thrilling, I write better in my forum signatures.
There are set locations on the world map with no travel between them. This reduces choice and depth. Sure there are side missions but they're basically more of the same but now you're voluntarily getting the crap kicked out of you.
The enemies are annoying; either because they're too easy or too hard, they don't appear randomly (Final Fantasy) nor are there any enemy sprites when looking around (chrono cross). There are instead set battle locations which means you know exactly when you are going to be attacked. Where's the surprise element or the tactical challenge of picking the battles that benefit you?

This isn't...

Generally speaking, the first wave of RPGs on any new console isn't very good. Given the lengthy development cycle required to make a good Role-Playing Game, along with the fact that developers don't get their development kits early enough to have a detailed RPG ready by launch, the first games released for any system are rush jobs that fail to live up to fans' expectations. One need look no further than the PS2 launch for proof of this-it took roughly a year before the first good RPGs (Final Fantasy X and Shadowhearts) debuted. In the meantime, gamers were treated to inspiring titles like Summoner and Ephemeral Fantasia.

So it was with a fair degree of trepidation that I purchased Lost Kingdoms for the GameCube last week. At best, I figured, I'd have a mediocre game so we could finally set up a GameCube RPG section on the site. Needless to say, I didn't expect much from the game going in-which is what makes Lost Kingdoms such a pleasant surprise for me.

THE GOOD:
Unique Battle System, only thing close to TRYING what this game pulls off is Etherlords.

Card Transformation gives you reasons to use one type of card often.

Crazy as heck two player madness.

THE BAD:
The story behind the game is as bland as it is irrelevant.

Music/sound effects almost made me puke.

SUMMARY:
Despite my utterly evil sounding The Bad, I really do love this game. This is definatly worth shelling out some green for. Hopefully, you can get other GC friends to get this as well, why? The multiplayer is insane! Having a friend who is also rampagingly collecting rare cards makes for some serious gameplay. And if you play the game Magic: The Gathering, I feel sorry for you if you don't have this masterpiece.

Now back to the bad, no story and crap for sound? What can I do? Simple, press A through all that annoying dialogue that contributes nothing to the game and turn off the volume...

THE GOOD:
Lots of cards to use and first RPG for Gamecube

THE BAD:
Can only use a 30 card deck

SUMMARY:
This is a great game even though its flaws. First of all, this is the first GameCube RPG and any fan should get a copy now. You travel through many worlds collecting cards and defeating enemies, solving puzzles, ect. The only thing is that you can't save your quest while in these worlds (only on the map screen). This isn't too big of a problem since the worlds are pretty short. The big problem is that you can only bring along one 30-card deck and you can only use a card once. Your cards run out fairly fast especially if your fighting a lot of battles. Then, you only have a few cards left to battle the Big Boss. I see a sequel with the same and more cards along with more play time, bigger worlds and a bigger deck. Still this game is really good and a must have for anyone interested in the RPG category.

THE GOOD:
Innovative gameplay. Realtime RPG hasn't been done often enough.

Extensive collection of cagreat monster ideas

transforming thingy is cool

Graphics pack a punch

Could play this game for years

BUY IT!!!!

THE BAD:
Music gives me a headache

Sound effects so-so

Plot? What plot?

SUMMARY:
Alrighty then...

First off the game has to be the best RPG Nintendo has ever made. It seems like a mixture of Zelda and Magic trading card game. The set of 106 cards keeps me huffing to keep up, and the 2-player is really really cool. I love the transformation of cards. It really opens up a new world and gives you something to work for with just one card! Copying really really helps when you are down on cash. I think the fairy trafing thing was a waste though. You don't get much of a reward after doing a bunch of work collecting all the...

THE GOOD:
its really addictig its one of the best rpgs iv played in while.

SUMMARY:
its dijimon meets zelda (in a way) if you buy it you wont be sorry. its not a 5 hour role playing game you could be playing it for months. *price 47.98 - 49.99
and its the cards that make it a compact game see you have to save your kingdom by collecting cards to battle th evil creatures and who cares if you play a chick in the game.

THE GOOD:
Marvellous gameplay. I love this game, the adventure is very good, but the better half belongs to the card collection.

THE BAD:
Thats percuilar, what do they mean by "The Bad" {See my drift?}

SUMMARY:
-Excellent game with fantastic game play
-Sound could be enhanced with betterness a little bit, but Im cool with it the way it is.
-The card collecting and transforming will surely want you to buy it. Every time a transformed a card and saw a new one I was like totally in awe.
-Oh yeah! How could I possible forget to tell all you people to go buy it?! Oh wait my bad I did so do it.
