Winter Challenge is an Olympic-style competition featuring eight events: Downhill, Ski Jump, Bobsled, Giant Slalom, Biathlon, Speed Skating, Luge and Cross Country Skiing. Each event is noteworthy for using a perspective just behind your character, luge or bobsled.
Two different game modes are available for aspiring athletes: Training and Tournament. Training allows you to choose any event and work on your time or technique, while Tournament lets you create characters (enter a name, country and portrait ) or select the computer competition. Opponents can be set to one of three levels: Amateur, Professional or World Class, which determines their speed, stamina and style. Up to ten players can alternate turns as their best times and tournament progress are saved to memory chip. Those who wish to play more than one tournament at a time can do so through a password save function. Instant replay is available as well, allowing players to relive their record-breaking runs down the slopes with a VCR-style interface. Options include toggling music and sound effects on or off and resetting the memory chip to erase players and records. While there are opening and closing ceremonies along with medal competition, it should be noted that the game is not endorsed by the International Olympic Committee. Lowest Prices |
