Show full descriptionWhile there isn't so much a trigger feel behind it, Baldur's Gate has the more medieval feel that you might be looking for, as well as a variety of magic and a longer story line than there was in this game. The RPG elements come to the fore in BGII where they were held back in The Bard's Tale, and vice versa with the controlled combat.

Show full descriptionThe Baldur's Gate series incorporates the same "pause" gameplay, mage play and fighting styles which were using in the Icewind Dale series. The RPG characteristics are based on simple AD&D rulesets in all four of the games for the PC, and the worlds are very similar in both the era they seem to be from and the type of quests that you have to deal with.
