THE GOOD:
More variety of pro skaters. You can create your own skater. Create-a-park option. More stages. Improved multiplayer options. Almost infinite replay value.THE BAD:
If you haven't played the first one, takes time to learn controls. Graphics still have issues with "background fog". SUMMARY:
The sequel to THPS is nothing short of infinitely better than the first title. For starters, there are more pro skaters available, including The Hawk himself plus Bob Burnquist, Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, and Elissa Steamer, among others. Plus you can now create your own Custom skater complete with his own outfit and custom move set. Additionally, the Park Editor lets you make and save your own skate parks, essentially giving this game infinite replay value. There are also more & new parks (the School returns from THPS1) including a shopping mall, bull ring, even Skate Heaven itself!
New skaters mean a new variery of moves, boards, & outfits you can buy, in addition to buying upgrades for your skater and new areas. There are also new multiplayer options-high score, tag, and Horse. Graphics are improved but there's still a problem with "fog" in the backgrounds due to N64's processing rate. Some of the challenges are also insanely hard for beginners, but there's a lot to do as well-especially if you try to find every gap in the game!
As far as skateboard titles go, this one's about as close to perfect as you can get. Plus the Park Editor enusres you'll never be bored either. If you've got the choice between this one and the first title, get this one without a second thought. And remember to strap on pads & a helmet before playing! |

THE GOOD:
The tricks, blood when you fall off, a wide variety of characters to choose from.THE BAD:
can become boring. SUMMARY:
This is one of my favourite games on the N64 although once completed becomes very boring, I sold mine after about 2 months and brought a newer game.
Some of the extras are hard to unlock this can prove very tiresome at times but once completed is a boring game.
The game play is great and there is a wide range of tricks to choose from each skateboarder has its own special techniques. So it’s an all round good game until completed.

THE GOOD:
- Great Game
- Much Fun
- Sequal to the best game ever
- Spiderman is a charactor
- Kick ass Levels
- Game cost around $20THE BAD:
- Graphics arent so good
- Some of the levels are really easy but fun
- Music is fricken horrible just like all the THPS games
- Games old and the THPS4 is already out SUMMARY:
I say buy this game if you wanna feel the ultimate THPS wraith. Other then that theres not much to do. I loved the game when it came out but that was then and this is now. Is ay buy THPS4 if your gunna buy a new game. This one isn't as good as the 4th. |

EDIT it get boring very easy SUMMARY:
iF you like sckating (like me) then get this game now! it is so fun with i think about 10 cool levles but i hope you have it now it is hard to fined so do nmot spen all your time looking cuz look above i gave it a 3 but it is still very fun

THE GOOD:
i think that tony hawk 2 is pretty fun. I know some secret places like on the first compitition place!!!!THE BAD:
But then agian, it also can get pretty boring!!!
SUMMARY:
On the first compition course what u do is:
1) Start and keep going Stright.
2) you'll see a blue tree with somthing (like a board)hit it.
3) Then hit th blue tree!!!
4)Then the tree hits the wall then the wall opens up then the SeCrEt PlAcE!!!
P.S. YOU CANT MISS IT OR UR BLIND!!!!
The game is pretty fun although like i said be4
the game does get boring sometimes now i PLAY STARCRAFT AND N64!!!!!!

THE GOOD:
Create-a-Skater, Park Editor, bigger and brighter levels, new skaters (3), better specials, better graphics, more challenges, money so much better than tapes, you can change your skaters wardrobe, more things to unlock, gap checklist, YOU pick how to do tricksTHE BAD:
can't change wheel color (petty but true), no girl custom skaters, no Element (my favorite skate co.), very limited create-a-skater, no logos on black shirts (petty but true haha), crappy soundtrack (no ska, no punk, crappy hip-hop), very plain and limited custom parks, no attention to detail (NY city is a greal level, but no Times Square, nor downtown whatsoever; Philly is pretty boring) SUMMARY:
Spider-man is a great hidden skater, Rodney Mullen is a great (if not necessary) addition to the lineup. New and improved Jamie Thomas, or all the skaters for that matter. Skate Heaven was not as I expected it to be, it's pretty small and dark. I hear that its not as good as the PSX version, which kinda sucks (n64 folks are always gettin screwed that way). The soundtrack from the first one is so much better, they really did a horrible job in this one. If you're gonna try to incorporate hip-hop, do it right. They needed more ska, Reel Big Fish third wave type stuff. Punk wouldve helped, more DK, NOFX, Screeching Weasel, even pop-punk like MXPX wouldnt hurt. No girls!!! I was pretty pissed, that sucks. By the way, the custom skater option is very limited. Each complexion has its own head styles. Clothing selection is decent, but could be better. Other than that, it's awesome game!!! I hardly ever put it down! |

the gaps,the levels,the people...everything about this game is awesome alot better than THPS3 but not as good as THPS4.On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this a 11.THE BAD:

No money cheats or beat the game cheats! SUMMARY:
This game is the best game ever for N64!
But it takes alot of effort to beat because it took me twenty two days to complete with one player!I have some cheats on while i play it!Sometimes i save my money for a long time!The best way for me is to play with superior cheats on!Everybody thinks cheats are stupid.Well,not to me!!!!!!! |

The Game rocks!! Skateboarding rocks!!! it's a really big influence on me and I love it alot!THE BAD:
There's nothin bad about THe game it's just I can't find that gap!!!... Grrrrrr .. ha ha ... n e ways SUMMARY:
Omg! I love Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 ... I only need 2 gap in the whole game and I can't find it ... it's in "Skate Heaven" and it's called "Up 2 Pipe Rail" ... maybe u might be able 2 get some information on it and e-mail me back 2 tell me where it is ...
The thing is ... i can;t find the gap, "Up 2 Pipe Rail" that's in "skate Heaven" ... and I really wanna find it .... really bad! Maybe u can help me?
This might not be the message that ur looking 4 or the right answer to this site ... but I hope u can help me ... thanx!
