THE GOOD:
Challenging yet addicting and well executed first person shooting gameplay, objectives add a twist to the generic FPS games we see today, 3 different difficulty levels which adds to some replay value, really tight controls, mission location designs are all unique whilst being well designed to cater to objectives of the missions, visually pleasing to the eye, human groans sound excellent and realistic, realistic sound effects, pulse pounding soundtrack, multiplayer is well worth playing and adds more to the replay value and the replay value within this game is virtually endless!

THE BAD:
Some choppy frame rates here and there. Multiplayer in terms of customization may seem limited to some, especially those used to Call of Duty 4's style.

SUMMARY:
Created in 1997 by Rare, Goldeneye 007 (along with Doom 64, Quake and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter) revolutionized the first person shooter genre by perfecting the shooting + aiming mechanics tried...

Just when you thought that 007 was just about as big as he would ever get Nintendo come out with a gem such as this. GoldenEye 007 offers not only another adventure for Mr Bond to embark upon but not it is YOU who are able to shoot up baddies and test you espianage skills and test all of your senses. Pitted against a gaggle of baddies the game follows the story line of the 007 movie Golden Eye. Only by watching the movie will the game be any esaier.
With that said the AI will have you whispering less than acceptable insults as you are constantly faced with smarter and smarter foes. The sound offers no less than the movie with terrific reproduction of the atmosphere set by the movie. Gameplay has been given a massive boost by the utilisation of the 360 degree stick, giving you an alternative to the age old d-pad. I was plesently surprised with the graphical detail displayed by the game, with the 'sniper' rifle giving you a distinct advantage and letting you discover more and...

THE GOOD:
1. Lots of characters
2. Fully challenging
3. The introduction has four new characters when Aztec and Egyptian are cleared
4. Level 20 is awesome, actually more than some awe, it's full of awe!
5. When all 23 cheats are unlocked, you'll probably be playing the game for 6 more months!
6. Multiplayer mode
7. Large arsenal, variety of weapons
8. More violent reactions and entertainments than the TWINE 64 game
9. 007 mode featured when all 20 levels are beat on 00 Agent, can set enemy status!
10. Four files
11. With 007 mode and all this, this is like the only game with such features, they make you feel like you can reprogram the game your way
12. Good music
13. Has that 'all so special killer spy' feeling that TWINE doesn't have
14. The button activated code, known as Line Mode (no color, just white and some lines), is sweet!
15. Lots of gadgets/equipment
16. The graphics are fairly good
17. In the Runaway or the...

Goldeneye may not have the best graphics, but it may indeed be one of the best games ever made. It's a true classic, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes FPSs.

THE GOOD:
Lush graphics(though they have been bettered of recent)
Great sound, atmosphere and sound. Super duper gameplay

THE BAD:
Some dodgy missions that seem a bit rushed.

SUMMARY:
This has to be one of the most involving FPS ever. I have only recently purchased it, some 3+yrs after it's release, and I can say with confidence that it rocks! The single player is a huge challange and great fun, with lots of reasons to replay, and the multi player is good, though I've yet to fully get into it (see: Unreal Tourine, Quake III etc). Goldeneye at it's best is one of the greatest games you will ever play and at it's worst a bloody good shooter. It's worst occurs during some rather random missions that don't quite feel right, but they are few and far between...Overall it's facking fantastic!

THE GOOD:
Supremely playable and a multiplayer to die for. Really captures the Bond atmosphere with the gadgets, girls and guns. Rare's masterpiece - quite simply the greatest first-person shooter ever, no contest.

THE BAD:
Slightly dated now, and doesn't really resemble the film in many ways.

SUMMARY:
Picture the scene.

Its 1997, and the Nintendo 64 was fighting a losing battle against Sony's Playstation. Aside from Super Mario 64, the N64 really had no killer app to boost its flagging sales and make it worthwhile competition. The seminal Zelda was in the works, but would it be too late to save Nintendo?

Then Rareware - a second-party company owned by Nintendo, stepped in and produced Goldeneye - the game of the film - and it changed everything, its graphics and gameplay were both unbeatable, and made it not only by far the best use of a liscense, but easily one of the greatest games ever.

Rare took elements...

THE GOOD:
The game contains various levels, and multiplayer game mode. Although, I perfer the single player better..I believe that there is more action!

THE BAD:
Once you've played this game for a while, you get some things about the game memorized. For instance, when i first got this game, I played it quite a bit on the multiplayer mode. After playing all the levels many times, I memoerized where some of the good guns are(if you're using guns) and i could look at the other persons' screen, and know exactly where to go to find them.

SUMMARY:
This game contains good graphics and good background music, just as if you were really an agent. Some levels included in this game were very hard for me, and then again some were very easy. I have not yet completed this game, I still have to earn many levels and characters before I start another file. This game also contains space for more than one person to play on single player. It has 4 files in...

Visuals: Stunning at the time, especially the reflections off of the guns etc.
The levels are huge, which allows for minor fogging, and the enemies are very well designed.
Could do with a bit more blood though.
9/10

Audio: Classic old goldeneye theme, well, what more can I say? The guns sound very realistic but the enemies offer rather simplistic die-ing noises such as "uh". Pathetic
7/10

Gameplay: Am I the only one who doesn't enjoy the multiplayer?
I don't not like it, I just don't like it if you know whatI mean.
It is good with four people though...
As usual, you go around the levels completing missions and shooting bad guys with over 35 weapons at your disposal.
there are about 30 cheats tounlock, and I just got the last one I needed a weak ago (tiny bond ).

THE GOOD:
The missions, the multiplayer mode, the music.........

THE BAD:
The graphics (i really hope there would be a remake of this game)

SUMMARY:
As today, we might think Goldeneye is old but i am really surprised that there's so much people talking in the goldeneye forum. I think the reason why Goldeneye is still popular today is because of everything. The game is composed of an original game-play story, of outstanding missions, the unbeatable multiplayer mode. (no other game can compare to Goldeneye's multi mode. And last of all, the music. I like the way each level has their own music and I think that's what made the game so interesting. Putting all those ingredients together makes the best game ever made. This game is outstanding and i give it a 5 out of 5. Good job Rare!!!!!!!!!!!!!
