N64  Sounds Boring... But Isn't! 4.8

THE GOOD:
When I first got this game, I couldn't put it down! You can play this game for hours on end, and think you've only been playing for 15 minutes! There's plenty to do, has a replay value through the roof, and there are many scenes to unlock. The Horse Race is a well thought out festival, featuring food and drink.

THE BAD:
Colors can be bland at times. Festivals are repetitive and simple. Once you get through the seventh year, it starts losing interest. Slightly poor control is big hassle when watering crops. Unless you have list of recipes printed from a website, it's extremely difficult to find all the recipes. Same goes for power nuts.

SUMMARY:
I still LOVE this game. There are SO many secrets and scenes that you can unlock. It's challenging yet simple. Buy this game as soon as you can! (It may be kinda hard to find because they stopped making it. But if you're lucky, somebody may have sold it. Also, while most N64 games are about $10, this one costs $25! Because it's so good!!

THE GOOD:
this game is seriously, Serious Fun.

it is very addictive and fun to grow food, sell them and buy stuff after.. i dont know why really, but its something like real life, and it teaches u how to spend and save your money, and how to invest it...

THE BAD:
music IS annoying and i lost my horse in a storm

no endind ( i guess that COULD be good )

not really a point/objective

SUMMARY:
but if i were to tell which ones best ( of ALL HMs ) id say for Playstation, PS2 is horrible and GBA is prett fun too

you should have maybe a bike to get around faster unless u can bring your horse out

and again, this game is very fun and addicting, even for Ol' N64

I would suggest this game, because its fun, and cheap cuz its old, so have fun!
two thumbs up!!!

THE GOOD:
This game is one of the best games I have ever played. There is to many good things to write but here are a few. The charecters, the charecters are awesome in this game! they each have such a personality. There are so many events that this game never gets boring something new is always happening. The story line is great. I love how everything you do has a reaction whether it be not visiting the horse farm to throwing a berry in a pond.

THE BAD:
The music gets very annoying after awhile.
The graphics arent great either but hey it is nintendo 64. You should be allowed to have more than 1 horse.

SUMMARY:
THis game is basicly about a guy tha takes over his dead grandfathers farm. when you first get the farm its old and run down bu tyou can build it up and make it cool over time.
You can chose a wife from 5 diffrent girls eventually if you treat her right you will get a cild but its not that easy.
You can have 4 sheep, 4 cows,1 horse, 6 chikens and a dog. You plant vegtables and work your livestock to get money that you can use on many different things.
I really like this game its had me hooked for years. Even my brother who is an 18 year old macho man loves this game.
There is so many little secret missony things you can do its awsome.and its not like it happens any time you play the game. to get these things you have to be friends with the right people and do things at the right time.
This game is just like a real farm its amazing the simalritys.
The animals are soo cute espescially when one of your animals has a baby then it is sooo small and cute espescially cows.
I give this game the hihest rating it can get because it will keep you hooked for years no matter what kind of person you are. You should definitly try it youll love it.

N64  HARVEST MOON, If you're looking for the best HM game, look no further. 5.0

THE GOOD:
Depth of Characters, Storyline.
Plethora of activities and festivals.

THE BAD:
The baby never grows up.
Wife does not do a whole lot after marriage.

SUMMARY:
Looking back, this is a great game. By far one of the best that the N64 has to offer. Whether you're into FPS to Strategic games, you should enjoy this change of pace. Harvest Moon games assimilate all that comes with working on a farm, to making and keeping relationships with people, to enjoying what life has to offer. With great cutscenes, festivals that are surprisingly fun, and plenty of jobs and various things to do, this is the best Harvest Moon game in the series, bar-none.

If for some reason you don't have an N64, but really want to play the best of HM, you can play Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for the Nintendo Gamecube. It is the closest thing to the N64 version.

THE GOOD:
You get to take care of animals and make your house bigger. You can get married, and your kid gets older as time goes by. The graphics aren't too bad.

THE BAD:
The music really annoys me. I prefer violent games better. I'm evil.

SUMMARY:
Wow! I'm surprised I got this, but it wasn't all that bad. Let's start with the bad, though. I got bored really quickly. The days are so short, and you barely have any time to do anything. Then, the dude gets tired or sick. Animals get sick and die, and you can only get like one medicine a day. It's really annoying. I hated all the music, too. There are a lot of secret things, though. I still haven't figured out who those gnome dudes are. You can get married, and your kid grows up, which is cool. You can take care of animals. They're so precious as babies. There is a lot to do in this game. But, you're so busy with animals and plants, you don't have much time to just have fun, not that there's much to explore, really. Anyway, this game will keep you busy for a long, long time. It seems to go on forever. Whether that's a good thing or not is entirely up to you. Sadly, it's not so good for me.

N64  Harvest moon:everything you'd need to know 5.0

THE GOOD:
Many Wandering Options
Alot like owning a real farm
Real Life actions such as girlfriends, horseriding etc.
Many Great events take place
You can even get mail!
Sell food you produce
You can get add-ons to your house

SUMMARY:
It's hard not to refer to a game that's completely lacking any sort of violence and wherein your main concerns are planting a farm, raising animals, and finding a wife as "quirky." But "charming" comes to mind in this case also.

Natsume's Harvest Moon 64 begins with your grandfather's wake. He's left you with a farm whose primary crops for the last few years have been weeds, large rocks, and tree stumps. You begin setting the ranch back on its feet by clearing the land and planting a modest staple of potatoes, radishes, and cabbage, but you have many tasks beyond this. You're going to need to acquire cows, sheep, and chickens if you're going to have anything to do over the long winter month (each season lasts thirty days). Your house requires additions such as a bathtub and a greenhouse, and your farm needs a flower garden if you're ever going to convince one of the women from the local village to marry you. Town events - such as harvest festivals, dances, horse and dog races, and group bridge-building - also demand your attention. And then, of course, you can always go fishing. It's as if the developer took every minigame that's ever appeared in an RPG, combined them, and made a game out of it.

The gameplay itself revolves around a set of repetitive actions: You wake up in the morning, check the weather report, feed your animals, clear weeds, water your plants, harvest any new growth, and maybe you'll have enough time to stop by town before the shops close. With some exception, this occurs every day and can go on infinitely since there's no definitive end to the game. But it never quite gets as tedious as it may sound. You'll find yourself going into some strange alpha state where your only thoughts are on the tasks at hand (and maybe getting a new cow). It's very addictive, though not in the way that you'll be thinking about how you'd rather be playing it when you're doing something else. It's just very hard to walk away from it when you are playing. You'll need to know what's going to happen the next day, and you'll tell your friends when you accomplish a goal. "My cow had a calf!" "Eggplants!" They'll shake their heads at you, but will soon understand once they sit down to watch and become transfixed by it, too.

There are several areas in Harvest Moon 64 that could stand improvement. The soundtrack is made up of only a few basic songs that you'll hear more than you'd prefer. Buildings drop out of the world when you visit an area where several structures appear onscreen at once. And you'll wish it were easier to line up your character with the plants when you're out watering the crops. But these problems don't do too much to get in the way of the game's charm though, since it's not the type of title that you expect a lot of flash and bang from. Though admittedly not for everyone, Harvest Moon 64 is a strangely compelling, original little game that makes hours melt away incomprehensibly.

This is truly a great game. Once you get past all of the screw ups (damn deadline?) you can have fun for hours. The game name ends. Sure there's credits but you can go on and on until you die. Keep in mind you character won't die just you. I'm currently in my 187th year, and the game still isn't boring. I simply love it. (If you really want a challenge in this game, try to make you living without ever growing crops. It can be done.) You can horse race, dog race, take part in the festivities. Also if it ever gets boring just sell all your animals and chop down you plants and stuff. Then spend your money on things that you don't need. Like gifts and food and flowers. It is always new because the weather is unpredictable, save the television. If you need help check out my guide (coming soon).

THE GOOD:
Everything

THE BAD:
Nothing

SUMMARY:
This is one of the best games i have ever played in my life. It is a very very good game. I have played every single Harvest Moon ever and this is by far the best one I've played. It has beautiful women, full story line, and you can play forever. There are so many differant things you can do that you dont even have enough time to do it all. It took me 1 whole year just to do absolutely everything in the game. It's got cheerful music, and a variety of: food, recipies, animals, and just about everything else in everyday life including a few hidden secrets. If I had to pick a game for the year this was made it would be this game no other no contest and now I'm just writting stuff so I can submit my form and let people see it so if you've read this far you have been reading just a bunch of junk.
