THE GOOD: Easy to pick up and start Graphics Sounds PlotTHE BAD: Can be pretty hard and frustrating at parts. At times, the music is virtually non-existant SUMMARY: Lastability: 7/10. Along with a hard and sometimes frustrating main quest, you also have to collect a lot of these gold things called Yellow Lums. I'm afraid there's only 1 sidequest to the main quest. Graphics: 8/10. Rayman looks pretty unique, and is a better effort than Tonic Trouble's. Sound: 6/10. I really don't like how, in some parts, the music is hard to hear. What you can hear, would have to be some of the greatest musical scores the N64 has ever come up with. Voice acting is decent at best, talking gibberish though. Gameplay: 8/10. Aside from the hard and frustrating parts, this game can be easy to pick up and play. Aside from difficulty, the gameplay in this game is great. Overall: 3.9/5.0. It's a good game, much better than Tonic Trouble, so if you can find a copy of this game, go get it. |

THE GOOD: This game is so fun. I love the Zombie Chickens. There's a lot of Lums to collect. The plot's kind of cool. Some of the music is good.THE BAD: They won't let you use the camera sometimes. It makes an annoying sound and makes me so mad!... This game is kind of odd. Apparantly Yay means yay, yahoo, wahoo, and many other things. Some of Rayman's talking annoys me. SUMMARY: Actually, there's a lot more good in the game than bad. I love Razorbeard! *awkward silence* What? He's cool. I like the way most characters talk. It's cute. Globox is cute, too, with his little rain dance. The cut scenes are usually kind of funny. When Rayman's weird, little language doesn't creep me out, he's so cute. *hugs the Rayman 2 manual* Awww! There are a lot of areas in here, but not 45 like other things say so. I counted and got around 30. Liars! I only paid $20 or $30 for this, and it was really worth it. |

THE GOOD: Awesome graphics Very varied levels Lots of fun moments Excellent cameraTHE BAD: A little linear and easy SUMMARY: Graphics: Awesome, awesome, awesome, extremely sharp and colorful, very smooth and the variation between the different levels is excellent.
Sound: Good sound-effects, even though they aren't the strongest, while the music is great, with lots of cool tunes.
Gameplay: The camera-system works extremely well, the control is responsive and good, while the levels are varied and well-designed. Some cool boss-battles too.
Lifespan: It doesn't take that long to finish, but its replay-value more than makes up for that, as this is a game that you will certainly return to, time and time again.
Overall: Rayman 2 is maybe the best platformer on the N64, which is really saying something. Buy it! |
