San Francisco Rush 2049

THE BAD:
NOTHING!

SUMMARY:
When I played the first San Francisco Rush, I was amazed. It was incredibly fun, especially the unrealistic physics. Then, came along a sequel, called Rush 2. It was so much better, with a stunt course, improved multiplayer, and of course, extremely fun crashes. I’d say, however, that the third installment to the series, San Francisco Rush 2049, was best of all. It had so many new levels and features. Not only did it have more stunt courses, it had weapons in the multiplayer mode. You could play for hours between 4 stunt courses, 1 obstacle course, and 8 multiplayer courses.

But best of all, you had wings. These made air stunts much more funny and easier. Seeing your car spin countless times in midair was absolutely hysterical! Also, you could change more parameters of your car than before. You had many more engines and cars to choose from, as well as frames, tires, and more. The championship races were enhanced as well, with features such as suicide mode, where you couldn’t die more than once. Also, the data charts made it easier to see what you had done. You could see how many more of each parameter you needed in order to unlock new things.

Now, onto the basics of the game:

Graphics- 10
This games graphics were unreal. The cities and cars looked great, and you could see everything very clearly. Compared to the last games, the graphics have been enhanced greatly. But, as most would agree, graphics don’t really matter, although the graphics in this game are just amazing.

Sound- 10
You’ll love listening to the great tunes of the game while going 180 MPH down a highway. For once a racing game does have good tunes. Not only that, but the sound effects, such as crashes, tire screeches, cars hitting walls, etc. are very good and sound almost as if they are real. I wish I could get a soundtrack for this game…

Challenge- 10
Trying to beat the championship mode of this game is very challenging. Not only that, but getting the gold and silver coins is very annoying in itself. Also, different sets of tires can present challenges with control and speed.

Replay- 10
The amount of stuff you can do in this game is almost never ending. First, in the championship, you need to complete 4 different difficulties of races, ranging from easy to extreme. You’ll play through all the tracks and in different ways, such as reversed, mirrored, or mirror-reversed. Not only that, but in order to unlock engines, tires, and more, you’ll need to find 8 silver and 8 gold medals in each level. This is one tough task, and will require speed, determination, and patience. But that’s not all. In multiplayer, you’ll have to kill a certain number of friends in order to unlock new multiplayer levels. The same goes with the stunt courses. You’ll need a certain amount of stunt points in order to get new stunt courses. And, as in the single player, you’ll need to collect 8 silver and 8 gold medals to get more cars and parameters. And, if you get enough done in the game, you’ll get the fun obstacle course. This course isn’t to be taken lightly, as it is only for the best of players. So you’ll have endless fun in a game like this!

Control- 10
You have very easy control in this, even at high speeds. You don’t need to worry about tight turns and sliding all over (Unless you use the slick tires). Plus, you won’t have to worry about flipping around in midair because of the new wings features. They make the game much easier. I’d say the controls have been nicely done. Unlike Grand Turismo, you’ll actually be able to control your car.

Gameplay- 10
You have many different forms of Gameplay when it comes to this game. Ranging from the regular championship mode all the way to an obstacle course. You can play multiplayer, stunt mode, and use many cheats to enhance Gameplay. Also, you have many different cars and tracks, so you can try each course with different cars to see how well different cars can handle different courses.

Overall- 10
It’ll take you quite a while to find everything in this game. Even if you find it all, you’ll still have many laughs watching cars flip around all over the place and crash with a nice big explosion. You can have fun with friends or even take on a challenging obstacle course. If you enjoy big explosions, many cars and tracks, various options, and nice tunes, than I definitely recommend getting this great game!
