THE GOOD:Direct, well near direct translation of the 1981 most played game of all time. Graphics, sound, and near everything else is also mirrored.
THE BAD:
The "conveyer" belt mishap. Controls.
SUMMARY:
Donkey Kong for the NES does a remarkable job of capturing everything that made the 1981 arcade game great. The graphics are an almost exact reproduction, and the sound is nearly perfect from the original as well. Controls are a bit of an issue, but the timing and speed of characters and objects also matches up well. The omission of the conveyor belt level is the only glaring flaw, keeping this version from being the definitive translation of the coin-op classic. Nintendo, sadly though, other then this Donkey Kong coin-op game, has failed a bit in the other DK releases from coin-op.
