THE GOOD:
Charming visuals
Non-linear
Great level design
A lot of levels to go through
Play with a friend

THE BAD:
Complete lack of a save system
A bit too generous with items

SUMMARY:
A lot of Nintendo characters started out on the age old NES system. Mario, one of Nintendo's most recognised gaming icons, established himself as one of the best platforming stars of the video game world on this very system. Super Mario Brothers 3 marked Mario's third foray into full size platform adventures, and it turned into one of the biggest NES games ever.

Visuals

The problem when reviewing an old game is how to approach things considering the limits of the system a game is on. Is it fair to judge a game on current generation standards? This dilemma is no more pronounced than when judging how a game looks.

In a world of 3D polygons and high definition displays players may look upon...

THE GOOD:
The best out of the 3 NES mario games.
Great new features like new items and secrets.

THE BAD:
Can't be all the people you could be in number 2.
Graphics arn't the best of the three.

SUMMARY:
Super Mario Bros. 3 is the best out of the three NES Mario games as it features loads of new things to do, secrets and items and it's a longer and more strategic game. There are still all the original concepts in the game and alot more but unlike the second Mario game you cannot choose what person you want to be which kind of sucks. The new traveling to worlds system is really cool because it doesn't mean you have to go to all the worlds.

Overall i'd definitly have to say that this was the best out of the three and maybe even the best on the NES system, all Mario fans must play this game.

THE GOOD:
Everything. The Gameplay, The music, the level design, the bosses, EVERYTHING.

THE BAD:
Nothing.

SUMMARY:
Okay, where to start? Bringing back the orignal gameplay from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 kicks some serious ass. The game is extremely fun even after playing it a hundred times. The level design is great, the enemies are vivid and colorful, and the game is challenging at some parts, but still remains fun. The bosses, even though very similar to each other, show their own unique skills and attack patterns. Bowser's back as the final boss and fighting him is a great experience, especially when you see him fall down a bottomless pit. Now for the music... Excellent. That's all that needs to be said. Excellent. This is my favorite game for the NES and I give this game a perfect 5/5.

THE GOOD:
The fact that it's a Mario game

Creative levels

Classic music

Fun power-ups/items

Just plain fun to play

It has the Koopalings in it.

Just about everything else

THE BAD:
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I can't see anything bad about this game. It's fun to play, and it has the Koopalings in it, and has plenty of other good stuff. If you call this game bad, then I call Goombas hard to beat. XD.

SUMMARY:
All I can say about this game is that, even to this day, it's still fun to play. I didn't intend to rhyme that. This game is definitely a classic! A classic I tells ya! Ya hear me? A CLASSIC! AND ONE OF THE BEST PARTS ABOUT IT IS THE FACT THAT IT HAS THE KOOPALINGS IN IT! I MEAN SERIOUSLY, WHAT MORE COULD YA POSSIBLY WANT? FINAL WORD, THIS GAME IS AWESOME!

THE GOOD:
Excellent variety of gameplay. Mario Bros. minigame included. New variety of items. New enemies.

THE BAD:
Can't save your progress mid-game.

SUMMARY:
Proving the old saying "Third time's the charm", Nintendo returned to the old Mario formula and added new stuff to turn out the best-selling NES game of all time. Among the many new additions were lots of cool power-ups (like raccoon suits that enabled flying and a frog suit), new worlds to explore, and new "Koopa kid" bosses. Additionally, you can now store up to 28 items for later use, which adds a bit of strategy to the game. As a bonus, the classic "Mario Bros." returns in the form of a 2-player vs. minigame where you can steal items & goodies from the other player!
Not surprisingly, the new items make the game more fun to play if just because it's much more interesting flying around as a raccoon or jumping around in a giant shoe. Lots of classic Mario enemies return as well,...

THE GOOD:
I really liked the worlds, the new suits, the game play.

THE BAD:
Too short....X{

SUMMARY:
Out of all the regular platform Marios I have played..this one is the best...Even though Mario World tried showing it up, but it turned out to be just the same thing as Mario 3..but in a different world...X{ But this one didnt just have three types of things you can use to your advantage, this one gave you two other suits, the hammer thrower and the Full Raccoon (sp?)..And the stages were great, a little medium, but harder than Mario World....it could of been done harder like Mario 1...or Lost Levels..and 2 was just sad..cool game, but way to short..XP The only flaw of this game was that is was to short, it may of seemed long to some, but not really too me...XP that is why I gave it a 4 out of 5...
