Dark Age of Camelot

Dark Age of Camelot (from this point on referred to as DAOC) had a near-perfect launch. The servers weren't down, there wasn't much lag, and people were in general satisfied with developer Mythic's performance the first month. So far, DAOC has been the only MMORPG to do this.

Another thing: Once you go Shrouded Isles, you never go back. Shrouded Isles (SI) is the expansion pack for DAOC. You can play DAOC with or without SI, but SI contains extra races, classes, zones, and a revamped graphics engine. DAOC runs $15-25, SI runs $25-35.

Anyway, now that I've pointed that out, let's get to the reviewin'.

Graphics: 7/10 (9/10 with SI)
DAOC's graphics are well rendered and textured 3D. The water and trees and landscapes look somewhat bland without the expansion back, but are much more vibrant and detailed with SI. Not much to say here, solid grpahics. You really do need a beast of a computer to run SI though.

Sound: 7/10 (8/10 with SI)
